Parkour was established in France and Parkour is the translation of the French word for the sport; "le parcour."  This encompassed all of the skills required.  Running, jumping, vaulting, etc...  The literal definition of the sport is"l'art du déplacement" e.g. the art of displacement.

I am with a team of a few close friends and we go do Parkour regularly.  Oftentimes, however, most of my training is done on my own.  There is no shame in solo training.  There is no need to skulk in the dark either.  Remember that Parkour is not meant to be a spectator sport.  It is an advancement of self.  It just so happens that the movement, flips, vaults, etc... make for quite a few amazed on-lookers.  If you are just starting out I would recommend just working on conditioning exercises,  small jumps, vaults, etc...  Work on being able to roll out of falls comfortably.  You don't want to rush right into a 20 foot drop, because you will break something.  You need to build up muscle mass around places that you are not used to using.  So just take care, be safe, and move!

I have been doing Parkour for about 4 years now and I have developed a decent workout routine that I do nightly.  I was curious to see if there are any Traceurs out there who have any exercises that they find helpful.  Also, if anyone has some new moves that they would like to share or discuss, I'd be happy to assist!

I have certainly been smitten by Skyrim.  I am a Nord, level 31, with my main skills usually focused towards Smithing, One Handed and Light Armor.  I just raised my Smithing skill to level 100 yesterday, and I swear. That dragon armor is frigging beast. I decked myself out in Dragon Scale armor, and I made Lydia some Dragon Plate armor.  I'm not sure how many hours I have logged for it but I'm sure it's a considerable amount due to all the things that I have done in the game.  It was really worth my money.

I was 5 years old when I played my first video game.  My dad and I used to play King's Quest together on the computer, and my mom and I used to play The Legend of Zelda together on the SNES. Ah, sweet memories...

It is very difficult to categorize video games.
I think that my all around favorite game has to be Kingdom Hearts.  I'm not even going to try to pick a specific game, so I am going to say the whole franchise.  No other game has made me cry, want to jump through a wall, want to fight someone, run around in circles screaming, "YES YES YES YES YES!!!!" etc...

Runners up would have to be:

Half Life franchise (One of my favorite story lines)
The Elder Scrolls franchise
Legend of Zelda franchise
Megaman franchise
Summon Knight: A Swordcraft Story
Pokémon
Among many others

My favorite Navi would have to be Eraseman.  His Soul Cross thing was pretty devastating.  And he just looked like a boss.

I would probably have to choose Espeon.  It has always been on of my favorites.  If not Espeon then Dragonite.  Nothing more awesome than flying to work on a giant Dragon.

I personally prefer Kung Lao.  He had some decent combos and power moves, but mostly, I just loved that hat.  It is difficult to not be intimidating when you are a Shaolin warrior wielding a razor-edged Spaniards hat.
