Nice review but I'd personally like to see the depth rating a bit higher up since this is a ''10/10'' game

Not only can you play with the male and female characters but after you complete the game you unlock the cheats and also allows you to play as the monster which added more depth to the game in total

Best Sport- FIFA 15 Never has a game made me feel so connected to football before and honestly theres also a huge difference from PS3 to PS4 which overall makes your footballing experience much better

Best Shooter- Call Of Duty Advanced Warfare again there is a difference graphically between PS3 and PS4 and realism of the game really does bring it to life for me and no other game has made me feel that way when it comes to shooting games

Best Racer- As I only play PS3/PS4 and hate the WII console theres only 1 option that I can go for in this and thats F1 2014 This was the 1st season where there was a total switch and shakeup in the cars engines and also for the last race of the season in Abu Dhabi had double points. The detail of the cars are stunning and the sound of the cars was made to the point of where that couldnt be done any better

AND FINALLY my last vote as I only really play sport and driving games my last choice will be a bit of a shock to a few perhaps

BEST GAME OF 2014- Alien Isolation
Who remembers the Alien Trilogy game for the PS1? Well that was its only real crack at the Alien series but then they decided to have another crack making Aliens: Colonial Marines which was not so good in truth but then they made Alien Isolation

This game truly was a piece of art and honestly again want a true experience of playing this get it for the PS4 as on PS3 theres so much detail and graphics that at times it doesnt even load it all.

The Alien itself when exploring the Sevastopol will not only kill other people and also kill you if seen by it but it will also sniff you out and respond to quite literally any loud sound such as alarms firing your gun and even setting off built devices. I remember the 1st time I saw the Alien come out of the vent your heart beat was sent racing thinking oh boy i'm so dead. The motion tracker is quite literally your life saver if you don't use it you'll be gone before you know it

Hands down for me the BEST GAME OF 2014

Formula 1 the best open wheeled racing you can get close to as Formula 1 97 came to the PS1 and PC for those Formula 1 fans

The game was developed by the same company that designed the modern Project Gotham Racing series Bizarre Creations and Formula 1 97 was published by Psygnosis who if I remember correctly made some wonderful PC games.

The game developers and publisher was also the same people who made the very 1st Formula 1 game on the PS1 which was made for the Formula 1 1995 season which turned out to be a great game and I never noticed this when I was younger but I do now as the game was released at the end of the 1995 season meaning substitute drivers were allowed and the grid could have different amount of cars each race which was unique. So in short the very 1st Formula 1 game was a good game nothing brilliant but it earned its a status a one of the best racing games for the PS1 in my opinion.

Formula 1 97 was released and had the official FIA logo (much like the FIFA series) This was also unique. However sadly the game was released with problems that the FIA caught wind of and took action. The FIA did not appear to take it too kindly that the game had the official FIA logo on the game, The game just under 2 months from its release date was then taken off the shelves of game stores and was then sent out again this time without the FIA logo (I was one of the lucky ones who has the game with the FIA logo). More problems then troubled the game and the FIA were clearly unhappy with the game. This was then finally concluded with a trip to the courts but the FIA lost the court battle forcing them to be quiet.

Amazingly despite the problems with the FIA that was looming over them they also had more trouble which to me personally came as a surprise. Jacques Villeneuve to state this DID race in the real 1997 Formula 1 season for the Rothmans Williams Formula 1 Team. However in the game Jacques Villeneuve is not there and infact is called Driverone Williams however in the game when racing commentary legend Murray Walker also points out a slight mistake as he then called him Williams Numberone.

Fortunately that was the only problems with the game release and it finally did get off the shelves and into peoples PS1 machines so without further or do its time for me to review Formula 1 97

GRAPHICS 8
Formula 1 97's older successor Formula 1 was a great graphical game though at times when you really thought about it the game did seem pixelfied and sometimes rushed in places. But it was enough for me to still love the graphics.

The developers Bizarre Creations soon made a notable improvements on the graphics engine and this was certainly seen at the most famous circuit on the Formula 1 calender Monte Carlo. There was more detail with the circuits and had more life than they previously did. The cars were also made to look more stunning and sponsor boards were also improved giving the player a real close feeling to the racing action. The graphics was also improved that the actual game engine itself ran faster and the game could have more frame rates per second allowing a more smoother control of the game (No one wants to play a game that lags and has poor frame rates)

Graphical wise this was miles better than the old Formula 1 game made for the 1995 season it was faster better looking and more elegant which for a Formula 1 game deserves to be treated with elegance. The graphics earns a much improved and deserved 8

SOUND 5
Sadly this part of the game did not live up to expectations of the previous Formula 1 game

The previous Formula 1 game had the distinctive high pitched Formula 1 car sound which for me I loved and I always hoped that they would of kept the same main sound for the next game. Unsurprisingly going by my rating for the sound they did of course change it for the worse. No high pitch sound at all which was a shame as Formula 1 has always been known for its distinct sound. There was also no other real changes to the game or to improve the sound either. More than anything I do really feel that this was actually made worse which again was a shame. So overall not too much to say on the sound and in truth it was disappointing since you'd think that from its 1st crack you'd naturally think theirs going to be improvements made. The sound department gets no more than a 5 for me

ADDICTIVENESS 8
Formula 1 for me is always one of the best racing genre's out there in the motorsport world its amazing to watch, Always filled with drama and at points you really do have to expect the unexpected. A total of 17 official races along with 4 bonus tracks (Estoril was not used in the official real life 1997 calender season) The sheer amount of track selection and car selection you can choose from is enough to keep you addicted for hours on end. Any racing game has to be addictive to play or quite simply for me its failed and flawed as a racing game. As a result the addictiveness rating gets a impressive 8

STORY N/A
Nothing but hardcore racing so of course there is no story for a racing game.

DEPTH 9
The depth of Formula 1 97 was the best thing about the game in total general and though Formula 1 had the main expected options like fuel and tyre wear they put a lot more into this so heres the options with a brief description of what the options do

Race length- This had 5 settings Short, Medium, Long, Half, Full I normally found that the Short to Long races were no more than 25 laps long with Half being naturally half of the full race and of course Full was the full length

Skill setting- This setting basically meant how good you were and how quickly the AI cars went round the track. Novice (slowest and easiest) Amateur, Rookie, Professional and Expert (Fastest and hardest)

Steer assist- This setting was either on or off and was really meant for those who wanted to learn the racing line with assisted AI steering

Brake assist- This setting was the same as steer just the only difference with this is the AI system will help you in braking which can on some twisty circuits be difficult to learn when to brake

Sessions- This was for you to decide at which part of the race weekend you wanted to start at and if taken part in the championship mode selecting the qualifying meant you did not want to take part in practice at all for all of the races

Damage- This was to toggle damage on or off naturally if selected to the on setting this would enable damage allowing a player car or even the AI cars to lose their front and even rear wings and if enough damage was sustained the player could end up losing a wheel forcing a retirement in the race or session

Failures- This was to toggle if you wanted failures for AI cars (I am pretty sure you can't get a failure on this though which is a shame)

Weather- This setting enabled you to choose what sort of weather you wished to choose this had Sunny, Rainy, Variable and Random (Random selected any of the 3 settings)

TAKE NOTE: The Formula 1 game also had ''Variable'' however because this was improved this did mean weather could actually change during a session so one moment you could race through a crystal clear sunny day but the next you could be in a monsoon and needing full wets

Tyre wear- This naturally meant if you wanted the tires to degrade over time while racing and grip after a while can force you to pit in which was common for this era of Formula 1 racing

Fuel depletion- This was pretty much the same as the tyre wear setting again the difference is fuel depletes itself and also actually makes the car heavier but lighter as it gets used

Tear off's- This was a very new setting that some would wonder what the setting actually done. This option could only be used in the ''cockpit'' view turning this setting on meant flies and debris from the track would stick to the drivers visor which in real life Formula 1 drivers had to tear off their visors as it became to dirty to see

Flags- This setting was used to toggle if you wanted flags on or off. To give an example driving the wrong way would be a automatic black flag and a DQ from the race or session

Theres a lot of options in this game isnt there? Well that was not the end of the depth either heres the list of the teams along with the drivers

Benetton F1 team Jean Alesi and Gerhard Berger
Red Bull Sauber F1 team Johnny Herbert and Nicola Larini
Ferrari F1 team Michael Schumacher and Eddie Irvine
Prost F1 team Olivier Panis and Shinji Nakano
Minardi F1 team Jarno Trulli and Ukyo Katayama
Jordan F1 team Ralf Schumacher and Giancarlo Fisichella
Stewart F1 team Jan Magnussen and Rubens Barrichello
Arrows F1 team Damon Hill and Pedro Diniz
McLaren F1 team David Coulthard and Mika Hakkinen
Williams F1 team Driverone Williams (Jacques Villeneuve) and Heinzharald Frentzen
Tyrell F1 team Jos Verstappen and Mika Salo

Plenty of drivers and heres the circuits as well in championship round order

1) Melbourne Australian Grand Prix
2) Sao Paulo Brazilian Grand Prix
3) Buenos Aires Argentine Grand Prix
4) Imola San Marino Grand Prix
5) Monte Carlo Monaco Grand Prix
6) Barcelona Spanish Grand Prix
7) Montreal Canadian Grand Prix
8) Magny-Cours French Grand Prix
9) Silverstone British Grand Prix
10) Hockenheim German Grand Prix
11) Budapest Hungarian Grand Prix
12) Stavelot Belgian Grand Prix
13) Monza Italian Grand Prix
14) Spielberg Austrian Grand Prix
15) Nürburgring Luxembourg Grand Prix (A FIA ruling got around this so ignore the 2 different country names)
16) Suzuka Japanese Grand Prix
17) Jerez de la Frontera European Grand Prix

They really did put quite literally everything and you thought that was not enough? Oh no thats not it. Psygnosis at the time of doing the game also decided to contact at the time of UK TV rights ITV commentator Murray Walker and he actually signed a contract with them to do commentary for the game for the next few games and also former Formula 1 driver Martin Brundle also got into the commentating role when he also joined Murray Walker and done commentary for the game as well.

So yeah as you can tell after reading that this game really was well done and as a result this gets the highest rating of the whole game and scores a impressive 9 points

DIFFICULTY 4
Now it is not the controls that will hinder you for doing well in Formula 1 97 put the setting up to Expert and turn everything on and see how well you do. This was a game which the AI even on Professional pushed hard and any sort of mistake can lose you important time. There is some very hard circuits as well with my personal opinion the hardest is Monaco with its twisty city turns you really have to be snapping at the wheel constantly and making sure your not gonna lose control of the car. Of course there was also easy circuits and the easiest for me was a close call with Italy and Belgium as they are both very fast tracks with room for error

OVERALL 8.5
So to round of this review this is one well crafted brilliantly improved and well put together Formula 1 game and Formula 1 97 is much improved that than Formula 1 game made for the 1995 season

I hope you've enjoyed reading my review of Formula 1 97 thanks for reading and I hope you enjoy some open wheeled racing

Just like to point out a error though it is very small but it bugged me

You say at the start of the game she runs out of battery? Actually she don't she infact says the word ''fried'' meaning its had it and can't be charged at all even with a new charger haha

Great review though could be less detailed on personal views I find that very off putting

Formula 1 I happen to be making this review on a crucial day of the 2014 season in qualifying which drivers Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg of Mecedes are battling it out for the drivers championship title on the last calender race of the season

This PS1 Formula 1 game was to my world which I played the very 1st Formula 1 game I owned until I actually somehow snapped it as it got stuck in the machine. The game itself was made for the 1995 Formula 1 season and unfortunately because of the legendary status of Ayrton Senna who tragically lost his life in a fatal accident in San Marino in the 1994 Formula 1 season this game really never took off. I see it as I was one of those lucky people who actually owned this game.

GRAPHICS 7
The graphics for Formula 1 was nothing really special though they done a great job of the circuits and the cars and making sure that the graphics looked smooth as possible. I always loved the brilliant job they done of the classical Monte Carlo Grand Prix circuit as this was one of the hardest tracks in the 1995 Formula 1 season that needed to built and constructed true to its looks

Unfortunately though other than the good looking tracks and cars that have been rated a 7 from me the graphics really are not nothing special to talk about for PS1 game which for its debut on PS1 was a shame.

SOUND 6
Now as a marker for any racing game no matter what even if its NASCAR or Formula 1 or even Stock Car racing you'd naturally think to get good sounds that can sort of change etc etc

With this again its a shame you don't its 1 sound for the entire 1995 team list from Ferrari to Williams its the same. I know what some people might be thinking though ''F1 has always had 1 car sound'' though that is partly true not every season has all of the cars sounded quite the same though.

Now this only really ever applied if you used to watch Formula 1 in the era of classic commentator Murray Walker here in the UK hes a top top TOP Formula 1 commentator and was loved by all for his passion and his commitment into F1 and always used to make you feel that bit closer to the action when he was commentating. He was put into the game and just like in real life at the time he will also commentate on the race and will even give you live positions updates as the race progresses.

Along with that finally there was also a bit of music but I never really liked the hardcore music for the Formula 1 games too much it just did not feel right.

Overall the sound part of the game stands up okay but again it never really lifts off and sends you goosebumps or anything as a result I rate the sound part of the game a 6.

ADDICTIVENESS 8
I used to play this for hours on end and though some people are gonna think ''why'' to what i'm about to say. I used to love when I was gonna change over and gonna play another game I used to screw around on the game and even used to stop on track to stop the other AI cars and even on the Australian Grand Prix in Adelaide there was even a pit glitch with Benetton's Johnny Herbert. You used to enter the pit lane at a bad angle and because Herberts box is 1st on the pit lane when exiting he actually somehow gets through the pit lane barrier and back on to the track. Your expecting to take control yourself but instead this was the pit glitch the computer takes over for the rest of the session.

Back to the serious stuff the main game mode in the game was of course taking part in the 1995 Formula 1 championship battling for points going through all of the calender race season. This obviously could not be completed in 1 session of the game and needed to be saved from time to time.

There was also a duel mode which I actually still to this day never tried but I assume thats where you select who you wanna race as and your put through your paces in attempt to beat another driver which I really honestly don't know why they decided to even put that sort of thing into the game.

Overall though with the amount of circuits the drivers the teams and hours of driving what you can have this by a country mile is the games biggest scorer and earns a impressive 8 from me.

STORY N/A
There is no story your main objective is to turn up each race weekend qualify 1st and try to win the race and secure as many points as possible if you play through the entire Formula 1 1995 calender race season

DEPTH 7
Since this was the 1st fully fitted officially licensed Formula 1 game they did make good job of just about everything all of the drivers was there all of the teams were there all of the circuits were there you can't really ask for much more than that on a game like this.

The only thing that I do have to knock back is the AI system. The AI system will rarely leave the racing line unless 1 AI car is going quicker than the other and believe it not this the AI system won't even attempt to overtake you and will just sit behind you and that does even mean (hence why I mentioned the screw about part on what I used to do) if you actually come to a stop the AI cars 1 by 1 will pull up and also stop behind you pretty much bringing the race to a stop. The developers clearly did not put much work into the AI system and i'm sorry but for any racing game you would expect a much better AI system than that.

Overall this game though does offer a lot plenty of driving hours plenty of fun and plenty to do. The depth for me gets a 7

DIFFICULTY 3
Its not hard in racing games to know the basics brake around corners overtake when possible and stay on the track. You don't need nothing more than X and the square button along with the directional buttons to get you rolling.

There is 3 difficulty settings though but in truth they don't do much. They only make the AI system quicker and push a bit harder but again that doesnt take away the racing line glitch of the AI system so in truth anyone who is good at racing games should cruise through this.

Overall not much to the difficulty part and gets a 3 from me.

OVERALL 7.5
So Formula 1's full official licensed game on the PS1 is not amazing but its certainly worth playing and is enjoyable for many hours. Overall I rate this game a 7.5

I hope you enjoyed reading my review and I hope you enjoy playing Formula 1

I thought this may be the unfortunate case of me having limited internet

I did however since you replied have been slightly thinking and have had a brainwave that though in truth its not gonna look brilliant but possibly a trip to McDonalds may be the answer and use their free WiFi though I don't know if thats gonna work at all

If it don't work then I guess I really am left with no option of saving up and spending 500mb each download for my favorite games

Hi guys I normally don't post threads here but i'm in need of some friendly suggestions for what to do

I currently now am a proud owner of the Playstation Item which for those who have not got it its amazing and a great pleasure to play PS1 however unfortunately for me it comes at a great cost and there really is not nothing I can do about it either

Each PS1 game appears to be 500mb (1000mb=1GB) and i'm sure you can see where this is going now but yes I do unfortunately have limited internet and i'm paying £25 for 7GB but at 500mb per game obviously I can't keep downloading games like that

So does anyone have any ideas of the best way to get around this? In truth I don't know what to do at all. Please note I am unable to change internet to unlimited internet so that is just not a answer.

Any suggestions would be greatly welcomed thank you

Hello to everyone and today I will be reviewing Driver a classic PS1 driving game

1st of all I never noticed this as I was fortunately a proud owner of the European version of Driver but it turns out America also had a slightly different title to this game known as Driver: You Are The Wheelman

This was a truly magnificent game to me as a childhood and they made such a good good good game out of this that they did decide to make a series but enough with that and its time to crack on with the review of Driver

GRAPHICS 7
Unfortunately again the graphics for a PS1 game do not live up to their expectation and sadly Driver is disappointing when it comes to the graphics however credit is due some of city layouts which are to true form in some aspects are very well done and when driving around at night its great to see the nightlife and all the lights from buildings. They made a good job of the graphics though overall really but again as I said for a PS1 game at a time when games were rapidly improving this was slightly disappointing but nothing too much to worry about at all.

Sound 8
The sound of a true car game of course any gamer addict would expect some decent noise and Driver is no different. The sound of a roaring V8 engine makes you know when its time to get serious and do business on the streets. Smashing cars breaking glass and sirens is your sign of time to make a dash and lose the cops in anyway shape or form just don't get wrecked. Obstacles in backstreets smashing over your windscreen and getting in the way of the cops all the expected sounds are there. The sound is amazingly brilliant in this game

Addictiveness 10
If you are one of those odd people who don't really like driving games this I assure you is worth considering and taking a hurl at it. There's so many things you can do and the amount of missions there is this can entertain you for hours on end without getting bored and even the difficulty at times makes it just that much more addicting too.

Story 10
The story for me is the best bit about the game and was one of the main reasons why this game became so popular for the PS1

You play as John Tanner who is part of the NYPD who is asked to go undercover and infiltrate a organised crime gang and find out what they are up to.

Now unfortunately because I think this game is that brilliant i'm not gonna say too much else than that on the story and let you find out as this is again a game worth playing till the end I assure you have my word.

Depth 7
Again this is another area of the game where it just excels and just makes the game so good and enjoyable

To start things off you are not just going to drive in 2 cities of which are Miami and San Francisco there are 2 other locations that you must play through the undercover (campaign if you prefer that) to unlock and those 2 other cities are Los Angeles and to back up the storyline the game also takes part in the streets of New York.

Unfortunately the cars could of been better and this for me knocked the depth rating down by 2 as you can't get out of the vehicle meaning if you rolled it and was left rolled for a few moments it would be game over just like that and to make it worse there is no choosing and no real differency of cars and when there is its only in the Undercover mode.

The depth of the game did not even stop there either incredibly they decided for more advanced and technical drivers I assume added ''driving games'' which just added more hours of fun and the bit I like the most with the driving games is the survival mode. This was basically your Driver destruction derby where you have to survive from insanely fast cop cars who will just ram into you at no mercy like they have a death wish against you and the fun thing is even though its unrealistic your car can go flying in the air and even doing 60mph on your roof down the road. This game has so much depth its arguably the best depthed game on the PS1 for my liking

Difficulty 6
The driving itself is relatively easy and should not cause you too many problems however the difficulty in the game certainly in the undercover mode is the time and at times the time (bit of a word twister there for you haha) can be hard and in some missions it is a case of you crash mission failed and I won't say much but the hardest level of them all in the game by a mile is the hardest.

The other difficult thing is ''felony'' this is of course if you commit a crime near a police car soon as the felony bar starts flashing your car is instantly a target for the police meaning they will get you anytime they see if you you are caught in their white radar on the map

Overall 10
This is by a country mile one of the best driving games on PS1 there is a great story to it hours worth of gameplay and non stop fun

I would HUGELY recommend this to someone to try something a little new and a little different

There we have it that completes my review of the Driver: You Are The Wheelman PS1 game thanks to you for reading and I hope you enjoy playing this wonderful game

Hello to everyone and this is my 1st ever Vizzed PS1 review here

Alien and the rest of the Alien trilogy was 1 quality movie marathon. If you have not watched it I would seriously consider finding the time and watch it as its gripping its frightening and at times gory to watch

The Alien Trilogy was so popular that they decided to turn this the successful film franchise into a PS1 game and going by 1st impressions it looks good. So without me mumbling on anymore its time to crack on with the review of the Alien Trilogy PS1 game

GRAPHICS 4
As I said on paper this looked like this was going to be one of the best PS1 games made. Unfortunately it turns out to be a little bit of a shocker i'm afraid. The graphics when you 1st start the game look a bit hurried. I would rate some Nintendo Entertainment System games and some Nintendo 64 games better than this i'm afraid. Sometimes the graphics look a little too dark and its only when your through halfway the entire game graphics start to slightly improve. Looking on the bright side though the aliens or as they are called the xenomorphs do look good. Overall The graphics for me for a PS1 game were iffy and in truth I don't really have that much to say about it because there is not that much to say i'm afraid

SOUND 5
The sound for Alien Trilogy does not get much better either. Infact more than anything I actually found this the worst sound game I ever owned on the PS1 which for me was a real shame since it was made by some big game developers at the time. Just when you also thought it could not sound any bad or worse than this i'm afraid it does. Theres music which although can be turned off. If you play the game with music you barely notice any of the alien sounds and only really notice the bursting sound of your guns and walking and sometimes you here the eggs open up of where some facehuggers come out to try and kill you. Again other than that i'm afraid theres not too much to talk about for the sound

ADDICTIVENESS 7
Really for me this was the 1st proper good shooter since Doom 64 and Goldeneye 64 which both were one of the best shoot em up games I've played though I have never sadly played this for the story line I just wanted to blast some aliens to pieces and kill the queens to death. This was addictive even though you could not fully get into the game and fully enjoy it. The game can drag on a little bit if you don't like killing the same sort of aliens over and over an over again but when you pass the 1st few levels. You can feel the pressure and the aliens intentions of just wanting to kill you. Considering there is 3 sections and there is 10 levels in each section the game does progressively get harder and harder but also more exciting. This is addictive enough to make you try and complete the game or as far as you can get.

STORY 4
Again just like the graphics and sound part of the game the story never really had much power in it either which again adds to the disappointment of the game regarding the title. I saw this game nothing more than going through the films of Aliens going through the colony. Aliens 3 taking you through the prison camp and last but not least the alien ship itself from Alien. Disappointingly there was barely no cutscenes in this which you might of expected and its only at the begging of the game where you do see some cut scenes and at the very end of the game. So in truth story wise its poor.

DEPTH 7
Finally I come to what will only be i'm afraid to say the best part of this review which is a good positive thing. The depth of this game and how much they have put into this is quite something. The aliens that you have to kill range from the normal aliens that you would see in the movie to infected humans. Oh no it don't stop there either. Again I said earlier there are 10 levels with 3 different sections which makes 30 levels in total. Along with those levels if you complete certain levels 100% a clean sweep of aliens missions and secrets you'll land yourself in a bonus round where you can pickup much needed ammo extra health and even a new weapon. Weapons will range from a handgun which in truth is really pointless to use after level 4 but don't panic you'll get more weapons than that going all the way up to a flame thrower so you can cook those aliens to death to even a pulse rifle to pack some serious punch and power.

Coming away from the weapons and levels instead of the modern if your hit take cover and you somehow magically recover and get back to 100% full health in the Alien Trilogy you will start out with what I would call 100 hit points you lose those hit points all the way down to 0 and your dead an depending on what alien (if you was even killed by a alien) you'll see what will happen to the hero Ripley. Of course again their are plenty of health packs but if you do reach 100 hit points you will have to pick up single health pack points to make your life go over 100

There are plenty of gizmo's to help you on your way too and though some areas are dark to the point that you can not see that well. So of course gizmos range from the much needed shoulder lamps to light up those dark areas to seismic charges which uncover secret areas of the level and are hidden with new areas and supplies.

The depth of the game really is something that should catch someones eye when playing this game

Difficulty 7
The controls are fine you should not have too much bother with them but the real difficulty lies when you get the later stages of the game when you get into the ship of the aliens. Their are traps in this game that can also plunge you into a certain death and even in the late part of the 1 section I won't say any more than watch your step and watch your surroundings as well. The aliens providing you equip yourself with the right gun are relatively easy to kill though in true fashion in a game like this Ripley's task is made harder when aliens effectively have more health and as I mentioned the handgun by level 4 is just simply not needed unless you see facehuggers coming to kill you. The queen or in other words the boss battles are also easy to beat and considering its a boss and I just said easy to beat the boss battles are and should be a piece of cake and in truth deeply thinking about it is rather disappointing.

OVERALL 5
Sadly this was not meant to be one of the greatest PS1 film games ever made and it turns out to be rather disappointing if you was one of those people who saw the Alien Trilogy PS1 box and saw that nasty alien and was expecting this to be a cracking game. I am sadly having to say it was not and join the club.

Its weak graphics and sound even just by playing the 1st level were disappointing and in terms of challenging gameplay in the 1st few levels again it was not hard. On the upside to round things off and finish this review again if you do love just blasting things up and killing stuff for fun then this is totally for you

With that this completes my review of the PS1 Alien Trilogy game thanks for reading enjoy

NHLPA Hockey 93 was the 2nd ice hockey ever to be made and today I will be doing a review of the Super Nintendo Entertainment System version

GRAPHICS-9
The graphics for NHLPA 93 was something special in my books and I do think EA Sports will always be proud of what they created.
The 1st disappointment of the graphics though is most major NHL fans will notice that there is no NHL license but there is the NHLPA (bit of a giveaway in the game title)

The main menu does not show off any of the graphics but when you come into the game itself and you start a match you'll see the reflection of the ice and the protected class around the arena and the netted goals which have all been made in a very good job. Even the players despite having no clear cut faces have been made very well.

SOUND-7
I in truth was slightly disappointed by the sound as a owner of this game and sometimes the sound when playing just totally blanked out after a bit of chanting music to gear up the fans.

Of course you get your music when entering a game. A game without music does not feel like a game. There is also no cool sound effect or anything when your selecting what sort of game you wanna play so that's also a down point. Going into the match every game will start off with your normal classic music chant (I am not too good with NHL chants being a English fan) and it does get you into the game and make you feel as if you are there.

The bit I like with the in game sounds is when you fly into another player with the puck and he goes flying over on his back. No ice hockey game would be complete without your puck hit sound either and this sounds brilliant for a SNES game. Even the glass smashing makes a sound so you will always feel alive in the game

Addictiveness-7
Though I loved NHLPA 93 doing a ''best of 7'' match series with teams did quickly get boring after 3/4 games and I normally did switch off and save the password so I could comeback to it later. Some matches you will play and you will feel like your kinda playing the same sort of game and when a game feels like that for me it ruins the addictiveness quite quickly

STORY
There is no story apart from all you have to do is bang in a lot of goals ;-)

DEPTH-6
The are a few game modes but in truth not as many so again this will also effect the addictiveness of the game and the following are your game modes to choose from.
Regular Season- I see this as no more than your normal ''friendly match'' with a friend or against the computer
Best of 7- This is most likely for me the best game mode only problem is its 1 player only which is poor. 1st team to 4 wins goes through
New playoff's- This is the same as Best of 7 but its a straight knockout. You lose your out
Contnue Playoff's- This only applies if you have started a new playoff game and wanna carry on with using the code system
EA Sports did decide to leave the iconic shootout system in this game which future games had and I personally loved the shootout mode

Penalties are also a big part in ice hockey and of course this could not be missed out by EA Sports. Your normal penalties like tripping hooking and cross checking will land you a 2 min spell with 4 players on the ice but if you concede while having 4 players that player comes back and is classed as a powerplay goal. You also have the fighting and if any fights do breakout on the ice no matter who wins its a automatic 5 minute penalty for BOTH players but team numbers will remain 5 providing there are no other penalties

Difficulty-3
The controls are very easy to pick up with and after you learn the controls you just have to adapt and find your best method of playing the game. The tackles can be hard as more than anything you do have to trip the other player who has the puck to turnover possession but you also do risk picking up a penalty for that and 2 mins in the sin bin. For me personally goals are also easy to score as I have the know how but I'm sure someone even who isnt that good can find a goal to celebrate about.

I hope you enjoyed reading my review of the NHLPA 93 game now get out there and play some ice hockey

GET YOUR ENGINES STARTED ITS TIME TO GO MICRO RACING

But not the racing you might think of racing around world known circuits instead your gonna be racing Micro Machines around such areas as your breakfast table to the beach to even your pool table room

Here is my review of the iconic Micro Machines game made for the Nintendo 64

ill start by saying a little something about the game that i do very much find a good thing
Micro Machines was also made for the Playstation (PS1) which i owned but also for the N64 unlike the PS1 though the N64 came with a unique feature that will allow players to have what turbo setting they wanted

this was not proper turbo this rather actually meant what speed setting you want it comes with technically 6 settings no turbo all the way up to max turbo for insane speed (gotta say you need super sharp reactions for that level haha)

Now to sum up of what i actually thought of the game that even today i still love playing

Graphics-10
Certainly for me for a Nintendo 64 game considering this was at a time when graphics were really starting to improve and make games come to life for me this was one game that really did make me feel that i'm playing a game that makes me feel connected to the world or a part of my life that i know

most striking graphics is certainly the garden courses and breakfast table courses they are very full of life and colour the graphics could not be any better

Sound-6
Unfortunately this has to be the worst bit about the game for me though its not actually like properly poor to the point where some games are worth switching the sound off

There is not much music to really talk about and its a shame that when your racing that there is not some sort of funky music to listen to so all you really get is the engine sounds from a F1 style engine sound to a truck roaring away

elsewhere there is menu music but other than that there really isnt much to talk about

Addictiveness-10
same can really be said for both PS1 and N64 versions of this you can easily play this game for over a hour with so many cars to choose to race with and so many tracks in each zone

certainly for anyone this is a game worth playing even for non racing fans

Depth-10
Depth for this game is something where the game just totally expands and makes people fall in love with the game entirely

theres circuits that are short and easy and very quick to circuits that are long and complex and very hard
then theres different zones that you can race in
theres a science zone beach zone even a 8 ball pool zone and more

not to mention there is loads of cars to win so that you can use them when doing trial mode on your favourite circuits but these can only be won in 1 player mode

there is also a various amount of game modes that you can play from 1 player head to head to racing with other cars

there is so much depth in this game that it can make your head explode with excitement

Difficulty-4
going by the difficulty in 1 player mode the 1st 3 levels (Easy medium hard effectively) are pretty ok but do need quick reactions to turn as some can be fast but with a few sharp turns and some circuits mainly the Garden zone can suddenly have no track as you go through the grassy areas

so again its a case of some circuits you'll find easy and do well in but others you won't which is normally the hard circuits which can contain alot of corners

the cars you are given to race in also help but other times you'll need to control them more as some are very fast to handle but overall the difficulty is not that hard but a challenge

Overall-10
for me personally this has to be one of the best racing games before the PS1 era and i would tell anyone to give this game a try even if they don't like Micro Machines
