I believe that guns are necessary, only because they exist. If guns were illegal, those who wanted to commit crimes would still find a way to obtain them, but those that follow the rules of society would obviously not have them, giving criminals advantage. I believe that, because other resources of obtaining necessary vitamins are available, that we should not kill for hides or eat meat. Killing any living thing and eating it is no different than killing a person and eating them, and should still be considered wrong to do so. Just because we are human beings or consider ourselves to be the most intelligent organism on the planet, does not mean that all life on the planet isn't just as equally important. I believe that as far as religion is concerned, people have a right to what they believe or don't believe, and people should learn to respect and tolerate the beliefs of each individual so that religious wars aren't started, and people can live in peace. I believe that republican and democrat perspectives can both be either harmful or beneficial. Not all republicans or democrats are bad, it just depends on how they are utilized, and who is utilizing them. I believe that abortion is the lesser evil, when you consider the fact that having your own child means that somewhere in the world there is a child that you could have adopted. That child otherwise may end up abused or dead from various diseases and environmental conditions. Not to mention the numerous lives that stem-cell research could save. I believe that I am a magical glittery unicorn capable of spreading rainbows and happiness throughout the universe. I also believe that just because I believe this, it doesn't make it a fact, but I still respect my own right to believe it. I believe that guns are necessary, only because they exist. Although this is the general forum, this would probably be better off going into the suggestions forum, as you would be more likely to get more replies. And as previously stated, it's an issue that has been addressed, so it would still be unlikely to get many replies even then. Just a thought that I want to throw out, however. What if the iso's were compressed and stored on a server separate from vizzed? The files could be decompressed and fed to the main server upon a user's attempt to play. It would still be costly, but would be a solution to user and bandwidth overload. The other day when I was editing my layout, an image didn't turn out quite the way I intended, so I had to edit it again. After editing, I re-posted it, but then realised that there was no way to remove the previous image from my album. As I will mostly be a layout designer, I will be likely to have to post many images, some that will be doubles as I edit. I would like to know if there is a means of removing images from my personal album when I am through with them. Although minimal amounts, images still require bandwidth, and if there were many other users like me who intend on having a wide array of images uploaded to work with, minimal amounts can quickly add up. Well, thanks for the info guys. Some of these ideas I just thought I would throw out there, wasn't sure if they had already been established or taken into consideration before. As for colored names, I meant it would be nice if you could choose your own custom color for viz, and since currently many ranks are marked by color, mark the ranks instead with icons or symbols. I am aware of ideas for the battle arena, but I meant more like a web or forum-based game, where you could fight enemies, pick up/sell loot, and roleplay in general. I wasn't entirely aware of how Tour de Vizzed worked, but it would be nice if there were a badge collection or trophy case of some sort that you could feature on your profile for show, if that isn't a feature of it already. A lot of people like collecting and showing things off; I've noticed on a lot of other gaming websites that features such as this are popular. I understand that roms could not be altered to interact with viz, but if the site were to feature flash or java based games specifically programmed to do that, then you could offer unlockables for Viz. I don't know, even to a newbie 50 Viz is not a lot. Not to mention, people should try out the chat and post on their own, because giving Viz as incentive to some people may seem like a bribe, and may make them less likely to be sociable. They may entertain the idea that, because Viz has to be given away in order to get them to chat, then it must not be very good, else people would not be offering them rewards to do so. |

Honestly, David, it would most likely be cheaper to hire specific persons for different matters at hand, and pay them on a monthly, weekly, or even a basis based on the job at hand and quality of work done. Hiring people for these jobs on an application basis would provide better intel as to whom would be doing said tasks, and the quality of work you could expect from the person. Giving money to users as an incentive for helping around the site, as I can agree with several of the other posts, would most likely lead to plagiarism and other negative confrontations, that if you were unable to check all submissions or produce enough crew to check all submissions, could lead to some serious issues that would be more costly in the long run than to simply hire some experienced people for specific tasks. It would make more sense to me, if instead of the threads being rated, the thread ratings were based on the poster themselves. For instance, a person who posts quality posts often, and are active and get many replies to their posts, would generally have a higher quality rating that is displayed for all of that person's posts. The less replies and activity a person's posts get, the shorter and less detailed they become, the more their overall rating drops. Therefore each specific poster would have to work at making quality threads that get a lot of attention so that their thread ratings remained high, attracting visitors. I have to disagree with the idea that emulation via rgr wouldn't be possible on mobile devices. Although it would be very costly and take a lot of work, there are many mods for mobile devices that cause the devices to emulate. If the rgr plugin could feature emulators that exist which are capable of use on mobile devices, and a plugin could be designed to function as multiple emulators specifically on the units that could handle it, then it would indeed be possible. However, such a feat would require help and permissions from various emulation designers, and would be very time-consuming. |

What if the website featured achievements that you can earn when you finish certain tasks in games or around the website? For instance, winning the monthly and weekly contests, posting a topic that gets x amount of views, posting x amount of times, making x amount of layouts, etc. Achievements could be worth viz, depending on the difficulty of the achievement, in which people could display achievement icons in their profiles for people to see and get a better idea of how long and/or how supportive of the site they have been. It would also be nice if you could use Viz to do more things, such as custom icons and forum themes, animated names, gift items, cheat unlocks for games, and auctions. As far as animated or colorized names go, to differentiate between administrators, forum mods, male/female, etc. you could use male/female and other symbols. Also, it would be interesting if the equipment and levels you obtain with Viz and with posts on the forums could be implemented into some sort of flash or forum-based game. I have noticed that equipment and levels do not seem to serve much purpose other than for status and for looks. People may be more pressed to buy equipment and to gain experience by making quality posts that way. Finally, I realise as a web-designer myself that cost of the website is based on bandwidth, therefore adding to the site in any way causes the site to require more bandwidth, therefore making it more costly. Sponsors and advertisements generate revenue, but you would generate more revenue if you had deals going with your sponsors, so that when people watch an ad, fill out a survey, sign up with a website, or purchase a product from an affiliate, they get Viz. In doing so, you generate more revenue from sponsors to use to power the site, hire crew (professional crew generally do not work voluntarily, but if you can find volunteers, that's great also), and increase bandwidth so that the site can grow. More growth means more players, more players means more revenue for the site, and the cycle continues. Although I admire David for programming most if not all of the site himself, and all the work that he does, as websites expand, I realise that more and more people working for a website are required, so if and when that time were to come for him, the extra revenue would be highly useful in obtaining more programmers. Anyway, this suggestion thread is becoming lengthy, so I think that is all I will post for now. Thank you for your time and consideration in advance, and thank you for making online emulation free and accessible. I seem to have a problem with the Earthbound 10th anniversary hack for snes. After the initial starting screen on the java version, the screen just goes black indefinitely. Also with the rgr plugin, upon closing instances of zsnes after playing a game, the next rom I attempt to run gives an infinitely repeating warning that direct draw cannot function properly due to the fact that it is being used by another process. I think maybe this occurs when the zsnes is shutdown improperly within the rgr, and the processes running on the pc fail to recognise that not only did the zsnes process end, but the rgr process as well, thus the instance of the rgr remains in the processes list as if it is still using direct draw. Refreshing the processes list seems to fix this issue, although with less experienced users this may pose an issue they may not know how to solve. |

I would have to say the best all-round pokemon would be Blissey. In final evolution, Blissey has an extremely high HP and SPEC. DEF. If combined with moves like bide, counter, softboiled, and toxic, it is very hard to one-hit KO Blissey with a non-special attack. The amount of damage that Blissey can endure generally sets her up for a one-hit KO return with bide or counter. If you do succeed in damaging her, leftovers and softboiled will most likely keep her alive without much trouble. If you have no way to remedy poison, and she hits you with toxic and then continues to heal, you're pretty much on a steep downhill decline to fainting. If you can get around the weakness to status ailments, she's definately worth a few slots on any roster. |

Hey guys, Zack here, hopefully I will be an ascending member and a great addition to the website. The website has some great ideas, but it still looks as if work is being added to it constantly, and although it isn't totally professional, It has some great potential. Cheers to David, for giving me a place to play all my favorite retro games in one place, and without having to worry about the legalities of emulators. I already have a few ideas for selling layouts, passed the newbie quiz, and am just biding my time until I can become a normal member. I hope to make some friends, and enjoy the ride along the way. I do have one question though, that I couldn't find an answer to: where is there a space to input my msn and yahoo account names? I saw that there was one for yahoo, not sure about msn, but if aim is there, then I'm sure I must be missing it somewhere. Anyway, it's nice to be here, and if you ever need anything, don't hesitate to ask. |

#463 (Lickilicky) In addition to having a very wide movepool, Lickilicky can learn Explosion, meaning that it is the only Normal-type Pokémon that can learn Explosion, aside from Smeargle, receiving a same-type attack bonus. Like its pre-evolution, it can learn the very rare Power Whip.
