I was a christian for most of my life, and a recent atheist, so I was drawn to this post, a good question.



I would however disagree with the description of the god of christianity being a "loving but stern" deity, he is quite clearly just a megalomaniacal tyrant that likes the smell of burning flesh, dashing children against rocks(psalms 137:9), and roasting people for ETERNITY... don't forget he hates the gays!(Not to mention the problem of evil) Anyway, I think that completely changes what my opinion would be if it was proved that he existed.



At that point, I guess I would have one of two choices...



I either sacrifice my morality, and worship a deity that wants me to slaughter homosexuals(Lev 20:13), and tells me to not eat shellfish(LOVE CRAB LEGS!)



or... I maintain my morality, shellfish eating, and dislike of the overall character of Yahweh, and burn in hell FOREVER....



Given the option, I'd probably go with the former.



Of course since I don't find the existence of the christian god to be even remotely plausible, I'm not too worried about it.

I used to sleep with the tv on when I was a kid and I'd play video games till I fell asleep. Now I have to have it completely dark, and I have a fountain that makes soothing running water sounds, and I sleep like a baby.

I like both, for me they serve two separate purposes.

It's true that when you take a bath, your basically just bathing yourself in your own filth. So, I take a shower and clean myself, and then I take a bath to soak my muscles and relieve stress. Some people find this weird, but I am weird, so I have an excuse.

Well as far as earth goes, I think it will do fine until the Sun does the whole expanding thingy and incinerates it. Humans however will probably find away to cause their own apocalypse, Nuclear winter, or use a particle collider to form a black whole that consumes the planet(which of course would destroy the planet as well). Who knows? Neil Degrasse Tyson probably knows...

Yes, the retro game room, of course.

All the old zelda games, mario games, metroid, mega man, etc... my childhood in a nutshell, I was sold. Everything else on this website has just been a pleasant surprise.

If I could be any flavor of ice cream I'd taste like earwax, so no one would eat me and I would live forever!   

Funny I see this thread today,

Yesterday morning I woke up to my phone beeping like someone was using it, I turned around and my dog was CHEWING ON MY PHONE. Needless to say, the bottom half of the screen doesn't work, nor does the microphone(so I have to use a blue tooth to even use it)..

I consider myself a bit of an artist(though my Mario paint screenshot submissions might indicate otherwise), and hope to at some point in the future to create layouts and sell them(not that I have the first clue about how I would go about doing that). I've been on this website for awhile and am just realizing how extensive this site really is. I'll have fun figuring things out though...

Well I've been using this site for awhile now, so I figured its about time I post on this thread.

I absolutely love this site, and the welcoming online community here. I also get to enjoy all the games I played as a kid (yeah I'm old), so major nostalgia points there. I appreciate the work of the creators and moderators of this site, and if I could possibly help out in any way, I'd be glad to do so.
