It's a hassle. Elementary school was fun. No complaints here, I had a great childhood. High school though...To be honest it actually got better as it went on. I had some really hard classes in my last two years, yet I still have a lot of fond memories. I'm not a huge fan of classes, but I do appreciate what school can offer people. A good teacher in my opinion is not only one that teaches subjects but also life lessons, and helps with maturation. I think my favourite part of school was probably my teachers. I had a lot of teachers that I love dearly and that have helped make me a better person. University though...not liking it at all. ;p I find the courses are harder than they have to be, and way too prestigious. I mean, if you get too many bad marks you get kicked out and lose your money. No ifs and/or buts. I'm starting to think I should have gone to college...I feel like university is more for people who don't know what they want to do and it just opens a lot of doors for them. But I know what I want to do so...I dunno.

Heh heh, I don't know if I'd like living in the South. I don't do well with heat and I'd miss Winter too much.

It's snowed a little bit in the past few weeks but now it's actually snowing large snowflakes. About to walk to the gym in the snow and I'm excited. :3 Maybe it's just me, but there's something I find beautiful about cloudy, snowy, Winter days. Maybe it's nostalgia.

OrdannonsX : Yes! Someone else who actually likes Dog's Life! I'll admit, the gameplay's pretty mediocre in terms of grandness and glitches, but it's still overall very charming and the music is beautiful.

Anyway, I'd like to nominate, in no particular order:
1. Dark Cloud: Pretty unpopular considering it was localized by Sony. One of my favourite games and a huge part of my childhood. Really hope it comes to the North American PSN soon.
2. Okage: Shadow King: Come on Sony, put this on PSN. I'll admit the gameplay's a little lacking in some areas but this game is very charming none the less. Another huge part of my childhood that I think about often.
3. Haunting Ground: A beautiful game by Capcom that just doesn't get the love it deserves, and another game that should be on PSN. You can tell the developers put a lot of heart into it, and Hewie and Fiona are two of my favourite video game characters.
4. Harvest Moon 64: Again, a game in need of a rerelease. I see a pattern emerging...Maybe it's just nostalgia, but this game is also very important to me, and I just never see anybody making a whole lot of acknowledgement to it. For me, it's the best in its series. It has the simplicity and aesthetics that a Harvest Moon game should have.
5. Dillon's Rolling Western: Finally, a new game. I just don't get the hate it's gotten. This game is awesome. Dillon's a really cool character and the music is insanely epic.

I really don't think it's a good idea to let kids play these kinds of games. No, I don't believe their going to try to imitate the characters in these games but I think it's likely that the content could affect them in the future. We don't know how certain parts of childhood will affect them in the future and it's really not worth the risk.

Chrono Cross. I lost around 20-40 hours of gameplay (I really don't remember) because the data mysteriously got corrupted. Since then I've been very paranoid about save data.

Nation rising against nation...the world wars anyone? Not long ago there was an earthquake in Atlantic Canada. ATLANTIC Canada. How often does that happen? Famines and pestilence...Africa hasn't always been rife with hunger and AIDS. Not saying for sure, but it kind of looks like they are here. Also, within the last hundred years or so A LOT of people have been reportedly pretending to be Christ.

I tend to always put "penguin" in my username. It's sort of a tradition I have. I also signed up to this site mostly to play Oracle of Seasons (which was funny, 'cause it didn't even work at the time ), so I fit that into my name.

It's a lot easier to ask for opinions here than bothering tech support when it's not their job to tell people how to make their product do things it' not meant to do.

The 24" one. I want to play old game systems on it but it doesn't have any composite ports. So my question is, what is the cheapest and best way to hook composite cables up to it? I found an HDMI adapter on Amazon for around $40-$50, but is there a better way? The video cables work in the green component port but it comes out black and white and grainy. The only thing I'm worried about when it comes to these "HDMI Upscalers" is that the picture will look bad. Considering these game weren't meant to be 1080p I feel like the image will be stretched in some way, but since the screen is so small I'm not sure if it's anything to worry about. What do you guys think? Should I try the HDMI adapter or is there a better solution?

^Great post! Very encouraging.
Also I should probably clarify that I don't talk about religion with my friends very often and I've never pushed them to convert. I'm sort of taking it slow I guess. Really the most I can do is have faith that everything will work out for the greater good.

^Indeed. The way we are, you can't force anyone to change, otherwise they wouldn't have actually changed. Realizations and changes of heart are personal things. The only thing you can do to change someone is be an influence.

To the anti-Christians in this topic: There were no arguments, nor hate of any kind until you came into this topic. Also, don't tell me to be passive. I am not cynical enough to let people venture down the wrong path and not care. Obviously you would tell me not to try to convert them because you don't care. At this point, you cannot understand so your advice is meaningless to me. Please don't think me angry, but until you can understand these sorts of things you have no advice to give. I don't mean to be rude, nor am I angry, but I don't want these kind of arguments.

Thanks for the great post Singelli. Thankfully I'm certain that most of my family believes in God, it's mostly my unrelated friends that don't. I think you're right. Maybe I should show my faith more. See I got a cross on my grad ring and my sister couldn't understand why. I think the biggest problem is that there are a lot of situations where I could have easily shown my faith to my friends but I didn't. From now on, hopefully I'll let my faith shine a little more. I didn't even come here looking for advice but I got it anyway. Bless you.

Here's the thing. They weren't always. In fact, in the beginning, none of them were. I remember, probably 4 or 5 years ago in social studies our class split off into groups based on our religion as an experiment of some sort. If I recall, almost everyone was Christian. So now I wonder what went wrong and when so many of them changed. It's been at least two or three years that my best friend has been an atheist and I think my sister and her boyfriend are too. Last night we were arguing about something and I mentioned that this thing happened in the bible and she said: "Guess what else is in the bible? God! And he's not real!" To make matters worse I think she thought that she stumped me because I didn't reply but in truth it was because I was shocked. So now she's gone upstairs and I feel guilty for not defending my beliefs. And of course, I'm afraid she thinks I too am an atheist. I feel like my life has become a mess over the past few years. Right now I feel like I'm morally obligated to just go right up and tell her I'm Christian but I'm afraid to which makes me feel even worse...I know the only thing I can do is pray an have faith that everything will get better but I just need a place to let it out...Thanks for listening...
