The n64 on was my personal favorite but I never got to play thousand year door (might get it eventually) and I know a lot of people will kill me for saying this but I actually loved Super paper Mario as well as it combined a Mario rpg story with platforming

Back in the 1990's Spider-man was basically the most popular marvel character out there even people who never picked up a comic book at the time had at least heard of him. So obviously merchandise based on spider-man was inevitable. Kids everywhere including me wanted just about every spider-man action figure out there so when a video game was released I had to get it. Now even as a kid in the year 2000 I didn't expect much out of a game based off of spider-man. My 8 year old self at the time was just learning that most licensed based video games at the time were not very good but since it was spider-man I didn't care. Much to my surprise this game was amazing. If you were a fan of Tony hawks pro skater you will notice some similarity's to the 2 games actually as it was made by the same company who made those games. As a matter of fact spider-man 2000 I believe even runs with the same engine and there are references to pro skater threw out the game as Easter eggs while pro skater 2 actually had spiderman as a unlockable character. Which was fine by me at the time as pro skater was on of my all time favorites as a kid (behind Mario and final fantasy).

So how does the gameplay work? Well its very primitive compared to the more recent Spider-Man games but in some ways that's a good thing. The outside levels play like a 2d platformer game set in a 3d world where you go from point to point with on level being an exception where you chase venom around town, while the indoor levels play like missions where you rescue hostages, fight bosses, etc theirs actually a lot of variety between missions so it never gets boring but if your a fan of Spider-man 2 the movie game you will probably be turned off as theirs no swinging threw an open world new York city. Myself I actually prefer this gameplay as its more intense and is a fairly challenging platformer game if you don't learn how to play unless your on kid mode of coarse.

graphics 8/10
Now before I go into details keep in mind this game was not only the first 3d spider-man game but also one of the first games released in the 2000's. Up at this point 3d games were still in its infant stages and were just now getting to be improving. Spider-Man for a game released then looks pretty good. It might not be jaw breaking and if your playing the psx version the cut scenes are almost laughable cause none of there lips move in the cut scenes. Which brings up the most major difference between the n64 and psx. Graphically the look the same in the gameplay department but most of the cut scenes in the n64 version is shots of the psx version and turned into comic book styled story due to the n64 hardware being carts instead of cds. Also due to hardware difficulties on all platforms at the time all the outdoor levels ground is covered in fog which the explain in the story before the game starts so I'll give the developers some slack on that.

sound 7/10
Not much to be said here with the sound probably the least impressive part about this game. However there is voice acting which again in the year 2000 was fairly rare and well was just getting started even rarer is that even the n64 still has lots of voice acting even though the cut scenes are not voice acted in that version. The soundtrack while pretty simple helps keep you pumped up for the levels but don't expect to be wanting to be jamming out to it on your music player. The rest of the sounds are ok nothing special

story/addictiveness 9/10
When I originally played this I didn't expect much of a story however I was actually really impressed with it. Most platformers don't really have any more but a basic story but this game goes all out and takes advantage of its comic roots. Just obviously don't expect it be a knights of the old republic or a final fantasy style deep story.  As long as you have a basic knowledge of spiderman you can follow the games story pretty well however if your a hardcore spidey fan you will enjoy it a lot more. The story keeps the game going and really does want to make you see what happens next. Plus it uses most of spidermans villain's and the slightly more anti hero venom very well and ties most of them to the story very well except for maybe the first boss. If I had any problems with the gameplay its just that the combat is really to simple throe's a punch button, kick button, and a web button and that's about it. That and the webbing does not attach itself to anything which is pretty silly and its pretty basic but its there mostly for getting to the next platform. This is the one thing that was improved in its more recent installments.

depth/difficulty 8.5/10
The game will take some time to beat unless you play on kid mode. If you play on kid mode you can have the game beaten within a day or 2 but obviously that's just for the kids that liked spider-man. If you play on hard then you will be in for a fight well mostly on the bosses but you will have to learn every part of the game in order to beat it and the final boss no spoilers here but I'll just say hes awesome (slightly less professional word needed here) However he is really really hard to beat. All you do is run away but its very adrenaline pumping and very unique for a final boss. Now there is plenty of unlockables in this game as well such as costumes (symboite suit, 2099, etc) which effect spiderman in different ways like unlimited webbing, invincibility, etc unlocking them however is very hard unless you use cheat codes so it makes the game worth coming back to and play around with them.

overall 9.3/10
While this game is pretty much forgotten about now thanks to the newer installments (which in my opinion are nowhere near as good). If your a fan of spider-man you need to check this game out. However if you aren't really big on spider-man I'd still check it out the game is very intense and has moments that will make you bite your lip and the story is very decent to as well. The only people I would not recommend this game to is people who are not very good at platformers but other than that this was the best super hero game for almost a decade up tell Batman came along with Arkham Asylum.

Although I wouldn't consider it a classic I find shadow the hedgehog as kinda more of a guilty pleasure game it is fun in its own way but there is a lot of flaws with it. First having a dark and serious tone in a game about cartoony animals with a few supporting characters having really high pitched voices is a little ridiculous especially when there cursing. The guns were really useless to but I had fun using them anyway at times. So with that being said the game had some of the best music out of any sonic game and out of most any games at the time for the most part, and the levels with the exception of on or two being really good although glitchy at times. So even as a kid when it came out I realized the game was bad but I enjoyed it anyway like a good B movie

Metroid Zero mission is a remake of the NES classic game Metroid . The original game originally released in America all the way back in 1987,this remake however was released back in 2004. For those of you who may not have ever played a Metroid game before this is the best game to start with. This game is a lot darker then just about any other Nintendo game out there but it also manages to do so while still being somewhat kid friendly.Theirs no cursing and no blood plus your only shooting space aliens so the game is not to violent at all for the parents out there. Fun fact Nintendo even stated that these games were heavily inspired by the horror movies Aliens.

To be fair though I always thought that both the 1st 2 games were the worst games in the series. As a matter of fact I didn't get into Metroid tell Super Metroid and even then I didn't play that when it first released. However when I did play that game I instantly fell in love with it. Everything about that game was perfect from the somewhat creepy atmosphere to the soundtrack and even the difficulty seemed balanced. Fast forward 10 years and the original Metroid was way overshadowed by Super Metroid. So henceforth Nintendo decided to remake the original Metroid and by remake I don't mean the current way of doing things with HD remasters. This game has been completely revamped the soundtrack is remixed, theirs new areas to explore, a map and the game feels new and even today it does not feel outdated. The game actually feels more like a slightly improved Super Metroid prequel then the original Metroid.

graphics 10/10

Metriod Zero Missions graphics is amazing for the handheld. Zero Mission takes more from Fusion and Super Metriod then it does the original game so be prepared for a completely revamped experience. Like the original NES classic pretty much everything sets up the Atmosphere in the game to give it a kind of creepy feel. The sprites are very good and the enemy design is flawless I would say these are some of the best 2d graphics in a game ever its truly a peace of artwork and it even holds up today.

sound 9/10
Now for the sound in this game is outstanding. If it wasn't for the music the game would still be good though but it helps create tension and helps it make it feel as if you are actually stranded on a alien planet by yourself and you have to go deeper and deeper into this crazy place. If I had any complaints about the sound is that sound effect that keeps beeping when your low on health it gets really annoying.

Story 10/10

Zero Missions takes place on the planet Zebes where it is Samus mission to find and exterminate the Mother brain who I assume wants to take over the galaxy. After that your basically stranded by yourself on a alien planet. This game basically sets up the characters for its sequels. So the plot is nice and simple without being to simple and keeps the game going. Theirs also a nice little plot twist for the hardcore metroid fan at the end of the game (no spoilers here from me).

Addictiveness, Difficulty and depth 10/10

Unless you have played and beaten the original game to death this game is really addictive. If you played the original game you will know where almost everything is however at the end of the game theirs a completely new area and the game turns into Metroid 1.5. Without giving out any spoilers I'll just say the first half of the new area has you play as Samus only armed with a stun pistol and without her power suit and you have to sneak your way around almost like a futuristic version of Metal gear solid. This new section basically sets up the plot for the Prime games and any Metroid fan will be pleased. So I would say this game has a lot to it. Also after you beat it you can play a full version of the original unaltered version of the game so I would say this game is worth every penny. If I had any complaints about this game is that it is pretty easy and short. Note the hard mode makes up for it but you have to play it on normal first before you can play the hard mode.

overall 10/10
Zero Mission is a great game to start off with if your new to the series or veterans alike. It takes everything that was wrong with the original and gives it elements of its much better sequel Super Metroid to make a game in my opinion even better then Super Metroid. Although it may seem a little short anyone somewhat into video games should definitely get this game.

I haven't done a whole lot of gaming for the past few months tell about a few days ago but the last game I beat was Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze other than that I've been playing Mario Kart 8 and I'm currently playing threw Metroid Zero Mission and Sonic 3 and Knuckles on this site. Starting tomorrow I will be tackling on Destiny though as soon as I pick the game up from gamestop.

Good job on the review, I used to play this game a lot as a kid and at one point was even half way obsessed over it. However it really is one of the best games out there its only competition for that would be other Mario games such as galaxy and 3d world

The Jak trilogy was games made by Naughty Dog during the early to mid part of the last decade. However this collection was not made by Naughty Dog but it was ported by a different company. Anyway if you have never played Jak then I would recommend to pick it up right now, cause these games are defiantly in my top 10 ever made. The genre that these were in is just about dead on this generation of consoles (except for super Mario galaxy and very few others) thanks to all the first person shooters so this was a nice break to relieve my childhood and remember where everything was for the trophy s. Which speaking of trophies there is trophies for each of the 3 games and while the 1st is a mostly an easy platinum (except for finding every single orb in the game)the 2nd and 3rd games are very challenging to get all the trophy's for.Anyway I'll have a short review for each of the games but if you have never played Jak and Daxter stop reading and buy it now.

Jak and Daxter-10/10 My first ps2 game also one of my favorite games of all time unlike the other Jak games this one is more like Super Mario 64 or a banjo kazzoie style game but better.

Jak 2-9/10 Same as the first one this is one of my favorite games ever made and I know a lot of people like the 3rd better I actually preferred this one but this game is pretty much more platforming game and gran theft auto combined to make one epic game. The also added guns into the game which nobody would have expected that to be added after playing the first one.

Jak 3-8.5/10 this is a good end to the trilogy but I personally think its also the weakest game of the series not that its bad but the first two games where just so much more fun in my opinion.

graphics 9/10- Jak and Daxter HD collection looks really good. I thought the games always had a great look before but the HD graphics really helps this game look great and even easier on the eyes. I will admit though its not really the hd collections fought but the original game while still looks amazing is showing its age compared to the other 2 games in the series.

sound 10/10- Ah the sound in these games is absolutely perfect. From capturing the perfect atmosphere in the original game like the forest and hearing the beach waves it makes you feel like your apart of this world. The 2nd and 3rd game captures this as well along with the heart pumping soundtrack running away from the crimson guards. Which speaking of the soundtrack all 3 games has some of the best platforming music you could ask for.

Addictiveness/gameplay 10/10- Of coarse this is what makes Jak and Daxter so great although once you start the game you will think Naughty dog just pulled a fast on when the sold crash cause Jak's moves are all to similar to the orange bandicoot. Which in its self is no bad thing Crash games are awesome but after awhile you realize this game has a life on its own and while similar the are two different games. The main difference is Crash levels were pretty straight forward you went threw 25 or so levels collecting levels in basically a 2d level with a 3d perspective. Jak however is basically all 1 big world theirs not a single loading screen in site and all the levels are connected somehow so like I said before it feels more like Mario 64 with a lot more challenging platforms and in my opinion the best 3d platformer out there. Then the two sequels came along made the game darker and less colorful and added guns and gave it more of a Mario 64+ Jak and Daxter + a few gran theft auto style to it. With that being said although the first game had more charm the sequels should not be passed up on just because of this. There all really great games that you need to play

Story 7/10- I won't get to detailed about this because it would be hard to talk about it without giving out spoilers but I liked the story of the first game it was light hearted simple and funny but then sequels came along and made this absolutely hard to follow story that made the original not seem as simple anymore but it was still good.

Difficulty/depth 7/10- Now Each Jak game is very different when it comes to how hard the games are. The first on is the easiest of the trilogy but it still has its hard moments and can be beaten in about 2 or 3 days if you play a lot. The 2nd game however is on of the most difficult platforming games out there but it will make you wanna come back for more even after you smashed your controller in the screen and the game will take a very long time to complete its very long. Finally the 3rd jak game is hard as well but not quite as difficult as the 2nd one and not quite as long either but it is harder then the original game.

overall 10/10- These are some of the best games ever made and if you have somehow never played it you need to do your self a favor and pick this game up unless your only into serious fps or sports games anyway. Not much else is really able to be said about these wonderful games other than the fact that the HD collection does a really great job remastering these classics and that all 3 of them even the 3rd game of the series is some of the best platforming games you can ask for.

positives
+ 3 great games
+hd really looks great
+trophy's make it great for those who have the game on ps2

negatives
-missing Daxter, Jak X, and the lost frontier (but that one can stay lost anyway)

As a kid I didn't have the Internet (or this was around the time I originally got it but it was very very slow) and I didn't understand or pay any attention to the stock market or the video game business. So I never knew about Segas downfall at the time, so it was a even bigger shock as a kid to see Sonic on a Nintendo platform. I still to this day remember going into a toys r us and seeing this and having to look twice and well it pretty much blown my 10 year old brain at the time. However with that being said does this game hold up to the genesis originals or does it fall behind read on to find out.

Graphics 8/10- I think this game looks really good, matter of fact I would say it even outdoes the DS games rush and rush adventure. The game is colorful and the sprites are probably the best you will ever see in a sonic game even better then the genesis titles. However the 2 sequels look so much smoother then this one and I feel like there could be a slight choppiness to the game but maybe that's just me.

Sound 9/10- Not much to really be said here other than the typical sonic noises although the game does have better sound quality then most other gba games. I would also like to point out the soundtrack in this game is pretty good. I can't say its my favorite soundtrack in the 2d sonic games but its decent.

Addictiveness/gameplay 9.5/10- The gameplay of sonic advance really shines and in some ways this and its sequels is surprisingly better than the genesis games. Of coarse it is a sonic game so expect a lot of running to be stopped by a spike pit or a enemy but the levels here seem a bit more relaxed then any of the other sonic games. Sonic advance consists of 7 zones with 2 acts each at the end of the 2nd act Dr. Eggman (aka Robotnik) appears and you have to fight him. What's different in this game is the fact that you are able to select 4 different characters at the beginning of the game sonic, tails, and knuckles return along with Amy making her 2d playable debut. (she was in sonic CD but not playable). Sonic plays just like he always does he runs the fastest out of any of the other characters and has the best spindash. Tails runs slower but he can fly short distances probably the best character to use to find the emeralds. Knuckles can punch, glide and climb walls so he is also a great character to use to find the emeralds. Amy on the other hand uses a hammer and is the slowest character in the game and instead of jumping into a ball she has a hammer attack playing with her kinda gives it more of a sonic 1 feeling as there's no spindash but she is really hard to play with

???I would say the game is very addictive as even if you fail you will want to continue. Of coarse once you beat the game you have to find all the chaos emeralds which is pretty time consuming. Probably what most people would find addictive in this game is the chao garden. Basically you take care of a chao (basically a pet) and make him as happy as possible. Although I can't say I'm a big fan of this mode a lot of people are and it is a nice break in the action of the main mode.

story- Again not much can be said here the story is your typical sonic game. Eggman stole the chaos emeralds and its up to Sonic and friends to stop him. Basically when Sega made this they didn't focus to much on the story and instead pretty much focused on bringing sonic back to its roots. Which is fine I don't play Sonic games for the story and whenever the have cut scenes I usually skip them anyway.

Depth/Difficulty 8/10- Sonic Advance is actually on of the easier sonic games to blast threw. The entire game could be beaten in about 2 and a half hours or so in a typical normal play threw. As a kid I did find it hard to get threw the game though but I managed. As a adult the game is a cake walk. However the chaos emeralds are really hard to even find even today, let alone beat the bonus game to collect them so it takes some amount of skill. In other words there is a lot of gameplay to have had here even if the main game is a little short.

overall 9.5- I think this and the other sonic advance games is on of the best sonic games out there and right up there with the genesis trilogy which is surprising since I didn't think it would be good at the time but was shocked. This is back when Sega defiantly had there hearts into the games the made and the sonic advance series (along with battle and pinball party) was on of the last good Sega games for quite a good while up tell recently since they have kind of been making a comeback at least with sonic anyway. Definitely a game you need to own whatever your playing it on vizzed or an actual gameboy this is on of the best games on the system.

positives
+ great tribute to the originals
+levels are very fun some are creative
+on of the most fun gba games out there
+nice graphics and soundtrack

negatives
-game can be short if your just going threw the levels
-you may not even realize chaos emeralds are even in the game tell after you beat it unless you stumble across it
-most zones are obviously copied over from the genesis games with new levels

I'm definitely going to go see it when it comes out. However lot could go wrong this is the first star wars movie where George Lucas didn't have any hands in it (could be good or bad ) and I feel like there going to be overusing the original actors who are all well unfortunately to old and really the would only fit in for a cameo instead of a lead role. With that being said Disney probably knows what there doing there movies are always done very well and on the rare occasion that the make a movie that's not necessary aimed at kids and is darker (Pirates of the Caribbean) Its almost always a really great movie. Also the did the Marvel movies justice with the Avengers being on of my all time favoritemovies. So if they can do that justice I have faith that the will with star wars 7 to.

Mario Kart Super Circuit is the first portable version of Mario Kart. At the time of its release my young brain didn't know a game like Mario kart would even be possible on the gameboy. It works great. Although this game borrows the same characters, powerups, and a few gameplay mechanics from the N64 game, Super Circuit plays more like the original game on the SNES.

graphics 10/10

Super Circuit's graphics really push the gbas graphics to its limits and although its technically not in 3d it gives an illusion of it being in 3d just like the original Mario Kart. However the games graphics are a little bit more detailed then the snes version and the sprites while still 2d kinda look more like the n64 characters. If I had to compare graphics to any other game on the system I would say the only game to top it would be the pinball Mario and a few other kart racers like Crash Nitro kart come close. The graphics while maybe not obviously impressive as the later portable Mario karts this on is still great and easy on the eyes.

sound 8/10
The sound is pretty much the same with any Mario kart and this on is no different. The music is catchy and the karts sound is actually pretty good for a gba title. Also the sound effects is very great to not much has changed from the snes/n64 versions here but for its time that was pretty impressive at least to me.

Gameplay/addictiveness 9/10

I know what your thinking its Mario kart of coarse its gonna be great and of coarse it is. Will it be your favorite Mario kart for life, probably not but it is enjoyable and for hardcore Nintendo fans you shouldn't miss out on a great game. Also to date this game has more tracks then any other game in the series half of which is unlockable and is actually every single track from the original game. There is also 20 original course's so if you plan on playing super Mario kart this is a better version. Of coarse it wouldn't be a Mario kart game without multiplayer which does very well with the link cable and is fun just like the other Mario Karts. If I had any complaints about this game is the steering seems a little off. While not to big of a deal unless you play on 150cc I find your kart is kinda a little more slippery then what it should be but maybe that's just me. Also while definitely not F-zero this is without a doubt the hardest Mario kart game out there so that might put off a few.?

Positives
+Very Fun Game
+graphics push the gba to its limit
+great extras
+has on of the best replay and single player in Mario kart
+its Mario kart of coarse its awesome
+first portable Mario Kart

Negatives
-Hard difficulty on later levels may be off putting to some
-slippery controls

overall 9.5/10

if your a fan of Mario Kart and never had access to a gameboy you should defiantly try to find a way to play it. While it may or may not be your favorite game of the series if your looking to see what Mario kart used to be or have never played it before this is a good starter game as long as your willing to put up with the difficulty.?

Vizzed.com is very expensive to keep alive! The Ads pay for the servers.

Vizzed has 3 TB worth of games and 1 TB worth of music.  This site is free to use but the ads barely pay for the monthly server fees.  If too many more people use ad block, the site cannot survive.

We prioritize the community over the site profits.  This is why we avoid using annoying (but high paying) ads like most other sites which include popups, obnoxious sounds and animations, malware, and other forms of intrusiveness.  We'll do our part to never resort to these types of ads, please do your part by helping support this site by adding Vizzed.com to your ad blocking whitelist.
