Well, I'll just say what most will say and compile everything of what I know thus far down in the shortest way possible. Accepting and believing IS of the mind. And like how one would accept a person, or anything that exists today, it requires you to go on a journey of sorts. For ANYTHING I should say, it requires a lot of time, patience, and effort. If you don't have that to give, I don't think you'd truly understand anything of religion since all of that requires some sort of research. The evidence of anything is only by what you perceive them to be. For all one would know, you may have missed out on some hints, or some hints may just be right in front of you or just around the corner. It all takes is a willingness to learn. Which is what you seem to possess, so that's an initiative right there. Just begin that journey and search. The evidence of anything is only by what you perceive them to be. I've been looking around for any sort of retro game here that I haven't really played before. Anything that popular back then I haven't tried or something that's underrated that I've never heard of. So I ask of the community to put together a playlist of sorts of what they suggest may be a bit up my alley. I'm looking for something of the RPG variety, but there's also platform, some puzzle, and a little shooter. Really, I'm an all around type person, so any game could please. However, I enjoy more games with a good story. I'll edit this post with all games suggested and played/in process of playing. Thank you very much in advance.~ =========== Games/Game series haven't played: Final Fantasy Fire Emblem (Fire Emblem 7 [GBA], Path of Radiance [GC]) Bionic Joe (Nes) Command Conquer (N64) Secret of Evermore Secret of Mana Dragon Warrior Ultima Ducktales (NES) Bionic Commando (NES) Battle Kid (NES) Breath of Fire II (SNES) Mega Man Manic Mansion (SNES) Gargoyle Quest 2 (NES) Actraiser (SNES) Terranigma (SNES) Lufia and The Fortress of Doom (SNES) The Legend of Zelda: A Link To The Past (SNES) Illusion of Gaia (SNES) Lufia II: Rise of The Sinistrals (SNES) Soul Blazer (SNES) Shining in the Darkness (Genesis) Shining Force (Genesis) Phantasy Star (1, 2, 3, 4) [Genesis] Rocket Knight (Genesis) Gunstar Heroes (Genesis) Castle of Illusion (Mickey Mouse) [Genesis] Quackshot Featuring Donald Duck (Genesis) D&D: Warriors of the Eternal Sun (Genesis) Strider (Genesis) Vectorman (Genesis) =========== Games/Game series have played/in process of playing: Super Mario Bros. 2 Chrono Trigger Super Mario RPG Tales of Phantasia Sonic So I ask of the community to put together a playlist of sorts of what they suggest may be a bit up my alley. I really do love this site and it's many charms. The old retro games everyone loves. The hacked games that people work on each day. A few original games shown by another group of people. And new friends. I look at this place as a place I can come to at the end of the day either to have a good chat with everyone or just playing some old games. In my opinion, when they started to try giving all the characters more personality, that's when things got pretty pointless and sometimes annoying. (The points after Sonic Adventure 2) Sonic for becoming the stereotypical hero with a big ego. Tails for becoming the sidekick that ends up only getting speaking roles and just hanging around the hero. Knuckles for just... being...so... naive. And idiotic at some points. I mean, sure he lived on an island and that would have sheltered him from a lot of world knowledge, but if he was so cunning to put traps all over the island, he SHOULD have some chance to prove that he can be as sly as everyone would think. Amy was all around cute in her debut, funny in Adventure and Adventure 2, but after that, she just got a bit annoying to watch chasing Sonic around. Sonic Team had somewhat of a better initiative of trying to make her mature in Sonic Chronicles by her saying she has a new boyfriend, Dex, but who's to say she's lying? She should show a little bit more maturity if she's "chasing" Sonic. Be a little bit more laid back and somewhat flirty, but not to where it's annoying or distracting. Everyone here would know where the limit is. Eggman- ugh. I wish he was Robotnik again. I really do. He was way more cunning back then but now when given the name "Eggman" he even started calling HIMSELF Eggman. It was funny back in Adventure, but... Really and truly, he should have been a lot better like he was. Instead, they decided to make it canon by showing in Generations that he WILL call himself that in the future. Big wasn't too much of a big (not used as a pun) deal for me. He's just one of the slow-witted characters that was around. Granted the "Froggy" thing was a little annoying. Chronicles was the only amusing thing for it. He wasn't in many games to really make such a statement against him. Although, I don't think many did like the Sega Bass fishing in Sonic Adventure because of him. Rouge was a lot better in her debut, but it's really starting to seem more like fanservice at this point. A little TOO flirty for my tastes. She's not enough of what she was back then. Even if she was only made to match up with Knuckles. Otherwise, the character's ok. I won't say much on the voice since they changed her actress to someone that can actually make her sound more or less around her age. (I really do prefer the very first though, but they changed it. Pity.) Shadow... is...too pessimistic. I mean honestly. There is so much a person can take in one game. His debut was fine, In Sonic Heroes the mystery of him being alive or not is enough to have you on the edge of your seat. Onward was... blech. In his own game, he... honestly should have had a bit of a change in attitude. You know, to show SOME development. But it's still the same. Too focused on the negative that it can be a bit of a pain just to hear him complain. His voice was annoyingly whispery from his very first debut, but that changed later on. (And this VA just happened to be my favorite from another game, how lucky is that?~) Cream, eh. I don't really see what's the problem with her. She was in only a few games, her debut, and then from there... Advance 3, Sonic Battle, Rush, Heroes, Chronicles, and Shadow the Hedgehog, where she actually played some sort of role in the game's entirety. Otherwise, she was just another side character. You don't see much development in her from where she started but the only thing I found annoying was the voice being a tad bit too high pitched. They corrected it in the later games though, so not much of a problem anymore. She should have a better role than just being there, or... there'd just be no point in her. (Am I a bit biased because I think she's cutest in the series?) Blaze isn't too much of a problem for me, being that she hasn't had much development on her from her debut. In '06 however, she shouldn't be the person to always say to her partner Silver how naive he was. A running gag like that was a tad bit annoying in my opinion. It made her look a little too...naggy/motherly? Well, I'm not sure quite how to explain it for her, but it was a bit out of her character with how she put it. Silver was ok in his debut, but unfortunately they took the naive portion a bit too far for him. It gets in the way of character development and unfortunately, he's not much of a favorite because of it. Could do much better. The chao that they had was just adorable, I don't see a problem with it at all. In fact, I say they should return them in any future adventure games. For now, I'll stick to the cute little rascals on Adventure and Adventure 2. Lastly. Omochao.... I don't like it. I don't hate it. I don't love it. I just dislike its use and its voice. People could figure out a game by either actions using trial and error, or just plain going near some type of hint pad for a clue. You don't need to go overboard with a chao robot. We can figure a few things out ourselves. And it ain't that cute. (Thank goodness for the off switch in Generations) So, that's my analysis on all the characters. There's truly no "most annoying" in my book. Just developmental issues that can be focused on in the next game. And I wouldn't blame it entirely on the character's behalf if there was a good excuse in backstory for them. Sonic for becoming the stereotypical hero with a big ego. I'm not quite sure of any adventure games that's specifically point and click or puzzle as far as indie titles... Commercially, you've probably heard of the Layton series as well as Phoenix Wright (or otherwise the Ace Attorney series) as commercially done. Both me and a friend did a run of those for a couple of weeks and they're definitely fun for a first try. I recommend them. However, if you ARE interested in one that's flash and online, there's the Portal remake online that's worth a shot, I thought it was creative for a different point of view. Well everyone, what would be your opinion on this? What do you feel IS the best franchise ever? Stuck maybe? I kinda am, there's a few I believed that were well done, and some that were well done and undermined. If you do have a favorite on this, why do you feel it's the best franchise around? One of the good ones is the "Tales of" series. It's one of the more undermined of the RPG series as people have not really heard of it. Very descr Stuck maybe? The cartoons today may not be quite better than older cartoons in my opinion, but I hate when one show just gets cancelled for...live action things. Especially when it's played out terribly. It was suitable back when it was Power Rangers, sure but... some of the things they have now aren't in the very slightest creative to me. But hey, someone else might actually like that so I wouldn't put it past a show if it ends up successful. I also don't like the type of shows where it's a bit trippy and hard to pick up on. Has anyone heard of something called Problem Solverz? If not, it's best you didn't. I honestly do give these types of shows a chance but... it honestly makes you feel...abnormal just watching it. And the vivid colors could give a person a seizure. (Which I'm surprised not to hear one lawsuit about) There are a few good toons today, and as everyone says children of today will look back on saying how THESE shows are the best and how THIS is the golden age. But there isn't a truly bad cartoon out there. Just cartoons poorly planned out and/or unappealing to the person watching. Out of technicality, yes. I had some help from a guidance counselor about where to go, but me and my mom researched about colleges before hand and had a few choices of our own. I guess you can say they added a few more on to the roster of what colleges to send my grades to. Gotta keep those options open after all. Gotta keep those options open after all. |

Although you may have heard this from many a member about how good the site is, let me be one of another to say, thank you. Thank you Davideo7. Thank you to all those that contributed to making Vizzed and all the roms, hacks, and many more an exciting experience for us game players everywhere. When stumbling on this site, I found games I loved, and games that I really found interesting to try in the near future. I just had to tell my friends all about it and they rather impressed of the collection that you had and are eager to play. Vizzed is nothing short of amazing in my book and I ask of you to keep on going with things, you have my support. (And when I actually get a pay check in the future, a bit of monetary support would be included) I hope for a better future for this place. With the best of regards, ~ MissComical (MC) (Also, if anyone would like to give their thanks as well, feel free to post!~) Thank you Davideo7. I, myself never have been quite a "social" person to get into social networking. But, everywhere I lurk seems to be the same, things I see at school get mentioned online, things I hear on TV are discussed again by peers, memes there is memes everywhere... Quite honestly, it somewhat bores me. I don't expect things to be that boring/interesting but, something seems lacking... I dunno, maybe it's just me. So, thoughts, opinions maybe? I'm sure there are people that happened to be a bit more interested in this than me and know a little more to it so, any experiences with it would also be cool to know too. So far so good eh? Well, as far as posting, you can also edit the first post to avoid those double posting problems...according to what I've seen and read. But please, when you do have the time, continue posting. I don't normally post in blogs but I do lurk and read on other people's blogs to see what their lives are like. (That and my natural curiosity getting the best of me. XD;; ) And hey, whatever may not seem to be the highlight of your life may be an interesting read in another person's eye, so don't be afraid to post on! Soccer? As often as I hear the sport's name itself, I've never heard of a person's viewpoint of the game, so thanks for giving a little of your perspective. I really hope you make it on the team. Just wondering, in a soccer game you play, how much running do you get out of it? Oh and hope you did well for Algebra. As much as I wish I can help on the subject, I still have a bit to learn myself. Anyway, do what you can, hope for tomorrow, and post again soon! Ah... Honestly, it's one teacher policy I can do without. One person doesn't do homework, whole class gets a bit of extra with a side of complaints. One person wants to stay in their uniform, decide to go out in public, eat at a restaurant and use all kinds of obscene language.... One person calls up the school and the entire population of that grade is in trouble and must be talked down to. I understand for some reasons that it has to be done but... there are just the most stupid cases to get caught up in and everyone has to make up for one stupid mistake. So has anyone gotten into that sort of trouble before where everyone else gets in trouble for one's behavior? aeonarial : I'll pop in the chat every so often to see about things, and I'll be sure to ask questions. ~ Jordanv78 : I try to give as much info as I can to break the ice. Well, although a few were posted after being ask the question of what's my favorite video games, a couple more of that genre that were also my favorites were Chrono Trigger (SNES) and Super Mario World (SNES). Matthew2321 : Thanks so much! And yes, I'll ask questions when needed.~ death_nation : Well, the reason I like Pokémon is how they WERE years ago. Back then, that was the different rpg, if you know what I mean. I'm not so much into the newer Pokémon, but, I still do make the effort of following along. Anyway, a lot of people have recommended the Final Fantasy series to me, and I'll be sure to try it pretty soon after replaying a few other old games. legacyme3 : Hm, nice choices. Yeah, those were done nicely, and were pretty fun to play too. But then again, City Escape was always fun, even back in Adventure. Hm, nice choices. I really can't say so much on weather since... well... I barely go outside unless needed. (School, bowling practice, my mom telling me to go get some sun) But, allow me to look out my window... Hm... Well... It's dark. Stars are out... Moon's out too.... It's night! Yes, it's very nice night. Few clouds out and- a board is blocking part of the way. I need to get my window fixed- ANYWAY. Let's see. It's cool out, so I'd say about 65 degrees right now. Aaaand not much else from here as far as forecast, back to you, guys.~ But, allow me to look out my window... Hm... Well... It's dark. I don't know if anyone posted a thread quite like this, but if not... What is YOUR favorite stage in Generations? If you do have one, why is it your favorite? Does it bring about nostalgia? My favorite stage is Chemical Plant Zone. Sonic Team did an awesome job with redesigning everything for it. Wasn't my favorite in Sonic 2 because of... the... dreaded pink water... But here it's actually much more bearable and can actually be pretty fun to run across if you wanted to. Classic makes it all nostalgic and Modern made it pretty cool to do missions in. Either way, I say it brought a whole lot of fun in the console version of the game. (Granted, I'm only able to play it through Steam because I don't HAVE the console.) It all made me squeal with joy.~ But enough with my fangirling. Rather it be console or portable.... How about you? Any favorites? What is YOUR favorite stage in Generations?
