I don't normally bump threads like I'm in a pinball machine, but I feel that this thread should be revived. If not, I'll brace for the impact of the ban-hammer... whoever has it. Probably Vanelan.

Are people really afraid of getting in trouble for posting "too much"? I honestly can't remember the last time someone went on a posting spree (that wasn't pure spam) that got in trouble for it. It can be a lot of fun posting with people.

Well if that was the case, I'd be driving mods crazy because I bumped several threads today to try reviving them, which is the point, right?

My guess is that users mean to save up threads so they can burst with activity during the TdV, but then events come up that prevent them from competing. It happens too often and people are too serious about it. Too many rules and people get really upset when things don't go their way. I participated (and won) and I remember there being a fair bit of drama. I wonder whether or not it is really worth it.
