In my point of view, a remake of pokemon yellow will be pointless,because I prefer to let things as they are and also I like Game Boy.I think that games should be played on their original game machine player.But this is only my opinion...

i would have liked to see yellow remade for the gba but it wasn't so i don't think it will happen anytime soon. i also REALLY wanted to see crystal be remade for the ds but it didn't happen and probably wont ( but hey that's what the lameboy emulator on my flash cart is for). They are focusing on the gen V games now which i believe r set to be released in japan by the end of 2010. I would not be surprised however if they remade ruby and sapphire for the ds after gen V gets done.

Kind of late seeing that Silver and Gold remakes are about to come out. I heard they are supposed to be really good. Before you know it, Ruby and Saphire(SP) remakes will be comming out.

i thought hs and ss were remakes of gold and silver. are they or are they the generation V pokemon games?

what you mean games that old dont neede remakes?red and blue were out before yellow and they made a remake of them.my opinion is they should make a remake of yellow bcuz it was more popular than red and blue the first time so if thety made a remake of yellow it will most definitly be more popular than fire red and leaf green

I completely agree they missed their chance to get more money when they released the firered and leafgreen. If they were to make it now it would either overshadow HG/SS or be ove taken and in either case it would cost them money and I just dont think they are willing to risk it

I didn't like Yellow, and thought that Red was better. Why? Let's look at the third games aditions...

Diamond/Pearl to Platinum: About 60 new pokemon, a postgame, the house-thingy, and a Battle Frontier.

Ruby/Saphire to Emerald: Battle Frontier, extra plot, more legendaries catchable.

Gold/Silver to Crystal: extra plot involving Suicune, battle tower, Elemental Beam tutors (Believe it or not, this was the first chance for Moltres to get Flamethrower), more accessable pokemon (Level 40 Larvitars in the game corner in Celadon? Heck yeah!)

Red/Green/Blue to Yellow: Jessie and James, all starters, harder starting.

They will never release a game with all the starters again. Pokemon's origanal idea was TRADING, that makes it easier to avoid training.

Starting with Pikachu was living heck. I played an Electric monotype challange of the first gen, and PURPOSLY played *Game with Electabuzz, not yellow* because I wanted to have DECENT pokemon, which Pika is not. Raichu is different.

And don't get me started on Jessie and James. We've seen the same stuff with them SIX HUNDRED AND THIRTY SEVEN TIMES and counting. No. Stay in the kid's show, leave the games free of anime influence.

I respect Nintendo for not hording the cash they could get with a Yellow remake.

Mattman makes a good point. Yellow didn't add enough that would warrant a remake, especially compared to other 3rd versions. But they lost their chance, why do it now?
But another question:
What if they got to so many generations they decided to remake FR/LG? Would you beg for a Yellow remake then?

if they made a yellow remake i would get it jist because they used REAL WOIC ACTINGS FOR POKEMON!! that was frekin awsome i like the 8 bit crys... but game freak should experiment with it and a yellow remake would be the perfect chance. and it was cool that they based it off the cartoon. but they shouldent do that agin becase after all the jhoto regin was explored the cartoon lost its plot and became stupid. and i liked that you could have a starter out of the typ triangle so niether you or your rival would have thee advantage. so they should remake it if they are willing to experiment more with voic actings for the pokemon.
