Hey, did anyone hear about the newest Pokemon games Game Freak is promising by the end of the year? I think it would be interesting to see what they mean by an "inventive rebirth" for the series. What do you think?

I would say that they make a game like the 2nd generation Pokemon games. The pure fun and new, great Pokemon was good enough, but I hope they add the night and day feature again, along with being able to travel to other countries, like Kanto and Johto. But for the love of god, no shadow Pokemon! That thing killed all my hopes for the newer generations.

I think it's cool there making a 5th generation of Pokemon as long as it dosen't suck.

I kinda hope the new pokemon they add are just legendaries. 493 pokemon is just enough and there aren't any ideas left for new ones.

I mean, some of the best things about pokemon games are the new pokemon every generation. And while the recent generations haven't been as creative, if they can come up with some good ones, I'd like to see what new pokemon we would have. Oh, and davidmull, the night/day rotation was in D/P/P and will be in HG/SS.

I Think that they should and could try to make it simple, add a new region, and allow travel between all the former starting regions. They could also make it a little more mature, most of the people who were kids when pokemon Dominated and spanked the market on their own whim are around 12-20 years old. Or they could also RAISE the level cap, make it higher for every region until you get back to the original region and have to whoop some ash . These are my thoughts on the future of the pokemon sirese(or Whatever)

Wow, that sure is some good news! HAHaha (Not really). I agree with everybody who has said that the Pokémon have become less creative. My 5 year old brother drew a more creative Pokémon than the Pokémon in the 4th or 3rd generations!

In an expected move, Game Freak has announced a new generation of Pokémon today during Pokémon Sunday by revealing the first Generation V Pokémon. Many details are unknown at this point, but it is known that the new Pokémon will be starring in the next Pokémon movie, Ruler of Illusions Z, with it said that the Pokémon "grasps the key" to the movie.

Generation V has been anticipated since the release of Pokémon Platinum Version. Its release is expected to be in 2010 for the Nintendo DS, following the earlier announcement on the Japanese Pokémon website.

The new Pokémon was only shown in silhouette. The Pokémon's full revelation will come on the episode of Pokémon Sunday on Feb. 21. Some sites have reported that this mysterious Pokémon is Z itself, but as of now this is purely speculation, apparently based on an announcement earlier in the program that Z would be revealed in that same program on Feb. 21.

And gen4 was so UNCREATIVE with a freaking moai statue with a moustache and a hat named "Probopass".

Yeah, I got nothing. People really need to look at the games without the nostalgia factor. I mean, sereously, add a monocle to Probopass. You will be amazed.
