Ok I will admit the Dole wouldn't have won(I never said he would have LOL) I can't argue when the facts are there. I am from the Midwest and people like Arnold are pretty popular. They voted Ventura in Minnisota right? There is no good reason to wait for the "right canidate" to change the laws. Somtimes people can over exagerate to prove their points. I'm also sure that Arnold had good reasons to call democrats drug addicts. Its not like the left hasn't been mudslinging for years. I am sad to say I'm from Tome Dashcles home state.... but yeah. All I was ever getting at is you can't ^ poll an election 4 years away. How long was Bush behind Kerry?

You guys are nut cases. Arnold isn't gonna run. Stop fighting over something that isn't going to happen.

Never say never. I actually think that Jeb Bush will some day be president. Even though I am a member of the "contitution party" if they don't have a presidential candidate I'd vote for him. I think within the next 3 election cycles we will have a women president.

Funny you should say that John, but:

Poll: 62% of voters say country ready for woman prez

ALBANY, N.Y. — More than six in 10 voters believe the United States is ready for a woman president in 2008 and 53 percent of the voters think Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, a New York Democrat, should try for the job, a nationwide poll has found.

The poll, conducted by the Siena College Research Institute and sponsored by the Hearst Newspapers, found that 81 percent of voters surveyed would vote for a woman for president; 62 percent said the country is ready for a woman president; and 67 percent said a female president would be better than a male chief executive in handling domestic issues.

Its all in the way they word it. I would not choose a female president. I'm not going to go into depth into it. But there are many differances in male and females in the way they show emotions. Enough said.

It would have to be the right kind of women. I think that Hilary would no be a good president. They do show emotions differently alright. Ummmmm I think people would be more afraid to have a women president during times of war and crisis. Because people think that CHANGE=BAD.

SO if a good women cadidate came along I would probably vote for her.

I dunno, Condi seems like a popular early choice for Republicans from what I've seen online. If she runs, that is.

LOL, after arguing with my anti-bush friends all day I got prettty sick about talking polotics. They were trying to tell me that 9-11 was a conspiracy. What do you think about that Nasus? We also spent like 2 hours on a bus talking about Farinhet/FarinHype 9-11. And whats your take on those? We have a forien exchange student from germany and I asked her what she though of George Bush(she is a very nice girl) and she suprised me when she said "I HATE HIM" I said hmmmmmm. Do you get some propoganda over in germany? Or are you just mad that we found you and France in bed with Iraq and Sadam VIA the Oil for food program.

As for Condi mayhaps mayhaps. For some reason I thought you were a girl Nasus But I said "why do I think that" then I looked it up on your profile so my bad.

As for the 911 conspiracy aspect, I direct you to http://www.911inplanesite.com/ I'm not sure what I believe, but that site presents some interesting evidence.

As for Farenheit 9/11, I don't doubt that some of it was exaggerated, but all of it was true.

As for the exchange student, I am not surprised, 80% of European citizens dislike (to put it lightly) Bush. You have been sheltered from European opinions by our domestic media. You are the one getting the propoganda, not the German girl. Outsiders always have the best view as to whats going on on the inside. The reason Europe hates the U.S. and its citizens are because of comments like "Or are you just mad that we found you and France in bed with Iraq and Sadam VIA the Oil for food program." or basically things that have minimal basis and truth and are very snarky and condescending. I'm sure she had nothing to do with Germany's Oil for Food involvement and it is completely counterproductive for you to say so.

Thats all I have to say about that.

Thats what i hate. People who are outside of the country. Haven't been here. Like to turn on BBC and hear anti-bush crap. It pisses me off. They don't know how it is! Say what you want, but Bush is a good president. He has his weak spots like ALL presidents. And lets not list them, because that would be simply 'counterproductive'.

Another thing i hate is when people make up lies and streach the truth and exagerate to make bush look bad. They never (well 95% of the time) use fair and decent tactics while attacking him. They use 2nd grade playground tactics. Its insane.

And europe hates america cuz we were tired of their bull s***. They say 'oh no, let the UN control the forces on the ground'. WELL f*** THAT! Since a overwhelming majority of the troops are going to be ours. There is NO forseeable reason why we would hand them the power.

LOL yeah they wanted to turn the control of our troops over to the UN so they could set the punishment and control of our troops. I didn't say it to the german girl like that. I put it very nice, polite, and one point at a time. We have found out they were in bed with Iraq. Our domestic media shields us from the good things that Bush does. And all his accomplishments. The media on the networks and cnn are liberal with leftwing owners. Fox is about the only halfway impartial news station. I have seen people from other countrys talk about america. And alot of people ove us to death, and realize that we are good for the world. And everyone doesn't hate us.

Wow... how many times did the topic of this thread change?

Bush is Sauron, rofl, that is funny.

On Arnold: As a California resident who actually voted in that election (for Camejo, the Green Party candidate), I would have to say that there is no chance in hell I would vote for Arnold if he did get into the election. Why? Simple, he broke his campaign promise his first day in office. He said he would NOT touch education, not cut money, not raise tuition. First day in office he cut education spending and by the end of the week had announced a fee hike for college tuition. When I started at my community college it was $11/unit. Davis raised it to $18, and Schwartzenegger raised it to $26. I am lucky to be able to still afford my classes, and I know a lot of people who can't afford to go anymore... and community college is the cheaper way to go. I shudder at the rate that people at the 4-year universities have to pay. So no, I would not vote for him.

If the Constitution was changed to allow a foreign-born president (which, in our current state of ethnocentric paranoia, I doubt will ever happen), and there was a compentant candidate, then I would indeed vote for them.

On Women Presidents: I would vote for a woman if she was a good candidate. Hillary? I don't really think so, same goes for Condolezza Rice. I don't like either of them. I don't care what party they run under, I vote for the person and their ideals. Although I highly doubt that I would ever vote Republican... no offense.

As for the 9/11 thing: I agree that the movie was exagerrated... but in all honesty we are not blameless. The CIA screwed up and ignored warnings that could have prevented it, so we are at fault too.

On the German girl: My sociology teacher over the summer recently spent time abroad. The rest of the world is very anti-Bush. They do not, repeat DO NOT hate Americans, they just hate Bush. They get more objective reports that are not censored by their government. Do you honestly think that we get the whole truth from FOX news or ABC? Hell no, they edit it "for our own good" so that we don't know what all the governement is doing. You complain about people in other countries talking s*** about us, look at what you're doing. Hell just look at what people say about the French in general to see how we treat others. We are an ethnocentric nation, even though we really have no right to be.

Practically every nation is enthnocentric. The French think we maim their language most of the time when we try to speak it.

Also I don't think anyone gets the entire story no matter where they are in the world.

Yes most media in America does flame Bush. I think they flamed him to death and that why Bush won the election. What does our media not tell us about bush? Mabey some of the other country's get thier hatred of Bush from the Neo leftwing crazies. You can't get a good reading of what the world thinks just with france and fricken Germany. The people of America give more money to charity every year than anywhere else. We aid the world more than anyone else. If we our enthnocentric (I can make up words to then don't we have a right to be. We are after all the worlds most powerful country. If you look at alot of the African, S. American, Asian nations they don't hate us or Bush. If you want to hear the facts listen to the most honest political person I know Tony Bair. Who thought we should go into Iraw also(thank god) For the most part Bill Oreilly gets the story from all sides. Give me some examples of how Fox doesn't tell us what going on. I think everyone DOES have a slant. You just have to have the wisdom, discernment, and vigilance to determine what is going on and who is the better presidential candidate! I can't help gloating that Bush won (I voted for the Constitution party) and that Tom Daschle got the hell out of office.

LOl this thread has changed quite a bit

Bill O'Reilly getting the story from both sides? You're joking... he's incredibly conservative, there is no way that he could ever not be biased on an issue in favor of the conservative right.

Also, how the hell is "ethnocentric" a made up word? It isn't, it's in the dictionary and is a term used in most if not all sociology classes.

Do you really know what the nations of Africa, South America, or Asia think of us? No, so how can you say that. Honestly, you think that China is fine with everything that we do? I doubt it. Tony Blair is in the same boat as Bush in most of the worlds eyes, granted I like him better than Bush.

And I am sorry, but if you think FOX is good news reporting then I feel sorry for you. You're right, everyone does have a slant... but most of the people of this nation, hell of this world even, are too f***ing stupid to get past that slant and examine the issue with an unbiased mind. I look past all the democratic and republican bulls*** on the issues, and on the candidates. If I were a member of either party I wouldn't vote for a candidate just because they were my parties candidate, I vote for the one that I think is best for the job, which usually is my candiate (since I'm in the Green Party and think that Democrates and Republicans are both idiots, no offense to anyone here).

John, do you know why they edit the footage coming back from Iraq? Why they don't show the deaths and the battles? Because they will lose support for the war if they show people what is really going on there. People saw footage of Vietnam and the reaction was immense and very negative.

But yeah, once again... wow this thread went off topic.

The topic is dead

The media is so slanted the other way that when you see something near the center you say its conservative.

You know why they don't show dead soldiers? #@$@ING RESPECT! I guess you might not know what respect for your fallen country men is tho.

I'm so glad that you people (liberals) haven't gotten your way.
