RetroidGameoid : It's kind of true on what you said about GEN 2 with most of the pokemon being dumb, and its ok if you're a pokemon or gen 1 fanboy because I'm a Gen 3 fanboy. I believe we are all fanboys/fangirls when it comes to pokemon.

Seeing as Pokémon emerald was my first Pokémon handheld I'm going to have to go with that. I loved emerald, and I played it until the eternal battery had gone bad. Imagine my surprise when I heard Pokémon Alpha sapphire was coming out, when I finally got my hands on it I almost started crying on how nostalgic it was. As a kid, I didn't have a lot of toys or anything child-like and I had to grow up fast being in the environment that i lived in. So not only did this game keep me intact emotionally and mentally but it just gave me something to do.
