Fireproof : There is no need to be rude to anyone trying to help you...

You can't change the config files for vizzed because as soon as you reopen an of the emulators to run it with the new config, the plugin will overwrite the changed config.

The vizzed data folder is located at:
C:programdatavizzed

To get there, you need to open "run" prompt by pressing windows key + r and typing in the location.
Its all there...

You might be able to run mednafen in full screen...try it.
Click the mednafen link after loading a game.
Its on the top left of the emulator window, then press alt+enter.

vanelan : This is the precise problem with people who neglect to read. For example: Your post is good in how to find the folder even though I already stated in my previous post that I found it and how I, personally, found it. I don't know why you had to post another post to simply repeat what has already been stated. You must understand my frustrations on this topic as it's been something that has been a problem for awhile now. I've clearly defined what the exact problem is and when other user's refuse to fully read it doesn't aid to the growth in seeking a working solution.

It is not my intention to purposely be rude to users. With that said, I had to say something to prevent myself and this topic from going in a circle of questions and responses. I have made this problem clear by the use of explanations and pictures.

Trying mednafen is a nice suggestion but it is not an ideal one. I like and use the features of the zSNES emulator like the fast forward so that I may skip long and boring parts that I don't need to wait for. Mednafen, to the best of my knowledge, doesn't have extra features. I also play using a game controller that is perfectly set for me. I also checked Mednafen briefly and it does not adjust in size. It opens in the standard window size that the zSNES opens in.

For the record: I have a AMD RADEON HD 8570 Video Card.
For the record: I thanked tRIUNE for attempting to help.

I think I understand how this resolution thing works now.

Yes, I believe that your resolution is the cause of it. Mainly because of the ratio.

Since the zsnes emulator on Vizzed can only go up to 1600 x 1200 for its set resolution, you're going to need to use the Custom resolution option. But first thing's first, you need to find what resolutions support your monitor.

In order to do so, go to where you can adjust your resolution. I don't believe adjusting it is necessary, but you're going to need to move the bar thing around to see what numbers are available for you.

Pay attention to the grey numbers.

Since the zsnes emulator can't support your 1920 x 1040 in size, you need to scroll down to whatever the grey number displays that is lower than 1600 x 1200.

Afterwards, open up the emulator and set the number in custom resolution. Then you will need to select the CUSTOM modes that can be found on the way bottom. I recommend using full screen, by the way.

Example of what I mean.

Mistress : I have already set my screen resolution to one that matches the games on Vizzed for the SNES. I believe this was 1024x764 but I don't know the exact ratio off the top of my head. I remember attempting this in a 4:3 screen. I also attempted to customize the game resolution to match one of the other screen resolutions I have. These failed.

I did a fair bit of research today regarding the DirectDraw7 error I get after attempting to adjust to full screen. It appears that this is a Microsoft related problem and one that they are only able to fix. This DirectDraw error is the exact problem as to why I can't change my game resolution at all. This is completely tied into the Windows 8.1 platform I play from. The error itself is simply a bug that doesn't enforce full screen when it's attempting to go into fullscreen. With that said, there's probably nothing that can be done to fix this.

The only work around is to download a Virtual Machine and install a previous Windows Operating System (Windows 7, Vista or XP) which the emulators work flawlessly from. There seems to be a possibility of editing the registry for the emulator and forcing the DirectDraw feature to open how it should but this seems to come with a considerable speed reduction on the game.

Communities found throughout the web including this one from steam?have discovered some methods for specific games to fix the DirectDraw error they get for their respective games. There does not seem to be any real solutions for emulators or emulators run on Vizzed to be more exact. If there was some way to run the Vizzed emulators with a compatibility setting then there's a tiny chance that it might work.

I also downloaded some software for AMD Drivers which help observe and boost AMD Driver performance. This helped synchronize my monitor with the Video Card which allows me to adjust more of my screen resolutions than previously. Unfortunately, this holds zero effect on the emulator. This leads me to believe that there's nothing more that can be done until a work around is established specifically for emulators without potentially harming your computer from modifying something.

Thanks for your help Mistress.

Ah, this is depressing. I was hoping that my previous post might be the solution we were looking for.

I'm very sorry that we couldn't help you on this.

Mistress : Thanks anyway. I noticed that there is a Snes8x version that implements Touch Screen capabilities for the Snes games and if David were able to include Snes8x into Vizzed then maybe I might be able to find my solution. We'll just need to wait and see.

Fireproof : I highly doubt that will happen anytime soon.

The vizzed plug-in is long overdue for updates to the current emulators, and that doesn't seem to be happening any time soon....let alone adding new ones.

vanelan : I agree with you completely. The only working solution is to play SNES games using Mednafen and press alt-enter but this is not the ideal solution I am seeking. I need the capabilities of the zSNES like the fast forward feature to skip through long and dragged out talking scenes. When the time comes, the plugin will be updated. Maybe if the SNES8x is successful for Windows 8 platforms, it might be easier to implement than it would be to update the outdated version of the zSNES emulator. This might become the only workable solution in the near future due to the depreciation of the Directx driver.

Just crossing my fingers...

Fireproof : Well, we have some issues with that....its kinda a long story, but it might have to be started from scratch.

I would certainly like to see zsnes updated as well as mame.
