Yes I have. I live in by tornado alley but there was no tornado. The storm that was really bad made a trampoline land on someones house. There was no power for days and to top it all off my parents own a store that has meats ice, and other stuff that would go bad if not frozen.

I have had a few, and they've all been tornadoes, with the exception of one flash flood and a bad hail storm (though the hail storm was part of a tornado, more or less). The worst one was one that destroyed the downtown historic area when I was a kid, but missed my block barely. That was a scary experience for sure. I've had other even closer encounters, but that one was the most destructive.

Ok I have a few storm/bad weather stories.
I don't live on the south coast of the UK, but still have had some bad rain and wind recently.  A few years ago the fence blew down, in a strong gale, and we had a roof tile or two fall off as well.
One time several years ago, I was with my mum in her car.  We were coming back from seeing a friend of hers.  We were in a storm, when a lightning strike hit the road about 20 feet in front of us.  OK, I know we were safe, but it was one heck of a flash and bang!

Last but not least.  I like kite flying, and have two things, that happened at different festivals here in the UK, to tell you all about.

At one event, held by a local club on the first Sunday after new year, every year, it started snowing.  Those of us flying carried on, thinking it was just going to be light.  WRONG!  After about five minuets it became a full on blizzard.  Luckily the wind didn't get up much more than it already was (about 10 - 15 mph).  But it made it almost imposable to see where the kites were.

The other was at a different festival.
On the first day.  We could all see a storm coming, as there was at least 10 miles of visibility in all directions.  So we all brought our kites down and packed them up.  Then returned to the tents, or caravans if we were staying at the festival.  One couple who had set up near to where we were, had moved early in the day to another position.  Good job they did, a tree was hit, and fell.   Right on the place they would have been camping!!

Since I live in Wisconsin, the weather is always whack. I've dealt with quite a few severe storms, tornado warnings, and blizzards. It really hasn't gotten any more serious than that.

My part of England is a very damp and windy area. We haven't really had any major storms but the Tidal Surges during December last year were pretty wild. Strong wind, Ice cold temps and water being thrown right into the countryside is considered a storm over here.
