Looking back this was one of my favorite and first games. I remember my first capture a level 5 pigey.
graphics: 5 They were good but not that good.One thing i hated is how almost every town looked the same.The graphics were awsome in battle but when walking not so much. you think the pokemon center in saforon city would look diffrent from the others but no.
sound: 3 Could barley hear when sound was up all the way. I hated Lavender town it gave me a headache.I love the music on route 12.The music in viridan forest is ehhhh. I cant remember how the otgher music sounded.

adictivness*:10 Played for a day and a half straight once.I loved the challenge of a new game. story: 5 The usual a kid just turning ten getting his or her first pokemon trying to fight the pokemon league and fill the national pokedex. But u do get to fight team rocket here and there witch adds to the story.
deph: 10 It's so big had it since i was 5 to 7 and still have not fully completed the national dex and i'm 15.
difficulty: 7 This was my first pokemon game after all so it was difficult. One thing I hated was always having to hold the b button I wish they had something that locked it to where it said u were holding b.I remember how much i struggled in the second and third gyms. MY friends said give up just go back and choose charmander. But i was stubborn and never gave up. That attitude is what got me and Tsunami(my starter who if u haven't guessed was a squirtle) to be the champs. Oops there i go again rambling on about the game.controls are easy to learn the computer is always difficult never know what itsgonna do next unlike some rp classified games I remember how excited and relived i was when tsunami(my squirtle) whirlwhind(my pigeot) poisin bond(my vileplume) labratory(porygon got from friend named myself though) small & power (magikarp) and hopeful fortune(alakazam) (i know some of these names are to long but its what I intended there names to be)madeit into the league hall of fame.When I saw it wasn't the end I was so excited.I still play it now when ever I see these pokemon I smile and look back at the challenges we concered.

Going on about how you feel, and had felt about a game is integral to a review. A review is an educated opinion of a game, so let your opinion be known. Also, take you time - if it seems to short, it's probably too short.

thetruemasterofgames : t's good that you have extended it that way, but now I feel that the individual sections for each aspect of the game (graphics, etc) are really lacking. A single sentence is not enough.

thetruemasterofgames : You need to explain why you think those things. "They're good but not that good" is not enough of an explanation. From that I know how much you like them, but not why you feel that way. Give examples; is it lacking in colours? Are the tiles repetitive? You need to explain everything.

thetruemasterofgames : Decent job on the game review. but as tails said yea these reviews are short. try adding more detail and be more Describable about the game. The categories can be broken down with great amounts of depth statements and research to back up the statements. if there's stuff you like and dislike about a game feel free to add it as reviews are opinions too. also give the review some spacing during the categories. because already reading the review i can see how cramped and cluttered every category is. and you may want to use the spell checker as you spelled some words wrong deph for example. it's depth.a simple spell checker could fix that for you here's some examples i can give out. when talking about graphics. I usually go all out as talking about how good they look in a starting setenece or if they look similar. I use sub categories to follow along such as (sprites) (animation) and stages. In certain places like sound you could talk about how good the sound variety is when compared to other games. and talk about a another sub category Like (soundtrack) tell us if the soundtrack is good or bad with many explanations. and in other categories like depth you could talk about more stuff like features or options the game offers. and how many levels and battles you could go through. don't just say how long it takes you to beat the game because that alone is not very helpful. and in difficulty you can talk about how hard the computer is to you. talk about if there's difficulty options. and how well the controls work. Don't be discouraged as I'm simply trying to help a reviewer out. my rating of this would be a 2/5

What you should do is read through the reviews of other users to see how they write their reviews. I think it would be best to learn in that regard, because right now you're pumping out a lot of reviews that aren't up to par. You'll see some bad reviews, sure, but you'll also find some well-written, well-constructed reviews that will help you understand the expectations of a review. Ultimately, you will get better. As for now, it's best that you stop writing so many reviews and instead concentrate on making a quality work as opposed to quantity.

Look at some high rated reviews. They are long, but they don't vent and rant. But, short reviews don't have much context at all, they are kinda boring.

thetruemasterofgames : Seriously, don't. You really need to slow down with these reviews. You rushing to get as many out as quickly as possible is the reason for the deterioration in quality. Why are you being so hasty with them anyway?

thetruemasterofgames : You must get a lot of free time. Also, you must be rushing then, since the free time in school is a time constraint. Don't write the next one until you get home - you will have plenty of free time then.
