At first I enjoyed this game (the iOS version). It got me into Sonic for the first time and I thought it was really cool, although the stage designs were annoying later on and the bosses were way too easy. Then, I started to not really care for it. When I turned the game on, it was usually just to listen to one or two songs from the soundtrack. I thought the time-travel mechanic was done poorly and I was bored of the gameplay. Later on, though, I downloaded it onto the Kega Fusion emulator, and that was when I started to enjoy it. For all the people who think this game is hard: It's only hard if you are trying to make a good future in each act of each zone, one at a time (level select obviously helps.) I had fun with it, it demanded a lot of practice (yeah, I hated those special stages at times, but they're nowhere as bad as Sonic 2's), and I enjoyed the extremely overrated (but still cool) JAP music, although I didn't care for the US soundtrack. Overall, it was a very good, if not great, 2D platformer. Nowhere remotely near Mario, but still very entertaining and challenging.
