I want to prove a friend, who is a massive Pokémon fanatic, wrong by telling them that the Pokémon that you post in this thread are better than Pikachu. If he's your favorite, then no offense, but I just find him overrated. What Pokémon is better than Pikachu in your opinion. Odd thread, I know but I just wanted to make it. Mine is Eevee. (Note: I like Pikachu, again, I just find him overrated)

I would say golem. Why cause it will beat every pikachu in the world with earthquake. It might be slow but can't be hurt by pikachu. And iron tail by pikachu will hardly damage it due to it's high defense sorta.

Magikarp is an extremely underrated pokemon.

Typhlosion because he can learn so many powerful moves but also its a bit of a personal preference mainly because he was my first starter and you never forget your first Pokémon.

Well almost any pokemon (with the right attack) can take pickachu down in one hit, especially ground or rock types that know earthquake like tyranitar. Even snorlax could take it down with just a simple body slam. 

Ok theirs pickachu, MY pikachu, And ashs pikachu ashs pikachu = Overpowered. Mine = Volt switch lol. and normal pikachu's without light balls are horrible.

Yeah a level 70 groudon could pretty much destroy any level pikachu anyday because it's ground type which is super effective and  it any move pikachu learns is either normal, not very, or doesn't effect it at all so yeah groudon is much better than pikachu

I'm going to say Gastrodon because it is part ground even though
it is also an water type. Most of pikachu's moves wont work unless
that pikachu knows some steel type move. Even so Gastrodon has
high special attack and good special defince / defince .

My favorite Pokémon would have to be gyradoes for the simple fact he is probably the only original 150 or 151 in some cases but one of the originals you could have went into the elite four with and came out with just him without losing but then again this was back before black or white version and to be honest I like all the original Pokémon mainly because the original weren't cheaply thought out and were not to entertain little kids like now a days but I love all the original Pokémon but you are right pikachu is one of the overrated Pokémon out there aside from the legendary

I know Mew is better than Pikachu because one Mew is super strong, and two it is cuter than Pikachu.

I dunno, there IS a chance Butterfree could take out Pikachu with Psybeam, I'm not sure though. overall, butterfree is better than pikachu in my opinion   adding base stats, pikachu is 300  and Butterfree is 380

Well, any pokemon that can't be taken down by Pikachu in one hit, and there's a lot of them. anything with a base offense of at least 80 and a substantially powerful move Is better than that rodent by  a mile.

Dragon types are way better than Pikachu any day. They can wipe the floor with him in one attack.
