I absolutely hate watching hockey games on NBC so I feel for you. In general I can't stand the way American stations call the game but NBC just drives me nuts. Anyways I have a possible solution to this for you. I recently discovered that the CBC puts all the playoff games they have the rights to broadcast live on the internet. They have to split the series up between TSN, so since there is only 2 series going on this means they are only streaming the Rangers vs. Devils series. If you want to check it out go to cbc.ca

I've only watched 1 game on their site the but quality was pretty good. It wasn't HD or anything fancy but you could see what was going on and there was almost no lag for me. You get to see all the stuff at the intermissions as well like the Coach's Corner segments. It's the exact same broadcast they put on the TV station.

yeah, that is one nice thing that the CBC does. And you get quality commentary.

Unfortunately for Elara CBC got the Devils vs Rangers rather than the Kings vs Coyotes.... but at least you can watch one series away from NBC.

CBC will be covering all the remaining games. I'm not exactly sure how they get the last few games of the King's series from TSN, but I don't mind.

no idea. Maybe TSN wants the NBA games instead. CBC seems to always cover the finals and at least 2-4 series in the earlier rounds.

If I remember correctly me and Geo both picked the Kings to make it to the finals at the beginning of the year. For once I may be right in my predictions, or at least half right lol.

oh, I did. I think Pittsburgh would have made it too if they had just done what New Jersey did to Philly. Oh well.... for a beginning of the season prediction I think it's pretty awesome.

Well, honestly I am okay with the Coyotes winning one game... it means I get to actually see the Kings win and move onto the next round (I had to work during it yesterday)

I was hoping to see a game 7, only to get 1 more game, but I am glad that LA won. I had them as a finalist pick and it's always nice when a franchise finally wins a championship. It's taken them a long time to get here. And they seem to have a team that could keep going for several years. I don't know if they'll be able to keep absolutely everyone they have right now but drop Gagne and Penner and they still have a solid team.

Quick didn't get the Vezina? The heck?! Malkin made out like a bandit though, and that is fine by me.

More importantly though... so I just got back from a week in Los Angeles.... and Sidney Crosby was on my flight home! I just about died, but I got his autograph before I totally lost it. Ron Hextall and another Kings rep were also on the flight since the Draft is in a few days. It was just surreal to me. My hands were shaking so bad after I got Sid's autograph that I could barely hold my luggage.

He is totally quiet and polite by the way. And was trying so hard not to be recognized by everyone... I was very nice though, didn't bug him longer than I had to, didn't ask for a picture (though I should have), just a signature and told him it was amazing to meet him.

... It took me over an hour to come down from that.

Elara : I actually think it would have been a bad choice for him to get the Vezina. It would have seemed like people had taken the playoffs into account. I'm not saying he had a bad regular season because he was good, but it would have come across the wrong way in my eyes.

Plus he's going to have plenty of other chances to win the Vezina in the coming years.
