The last movie I watched was The Chronicles of Riddick.

So many people think of that movie ( and some times the entire franchise ) as complete garbage, or mediocre at best, but it's one of my favorites of all time. The character Riddick just appeals to me in so many ways I can't help but love the movies about him. He's on of those people who just wants to be left alone, but since he has a bounty on his head, he's forced in to all kinds of crazy situations he has to get out of. His way of fighting is sneaking around, taking people out one by one, using the darkness to his advantage almost in a Batman-style kind of way ( except he kills every one who deserves it, gets in his way, or those he has no respect for. People who are honorable, or have very redeeming qualities, he may even go out of his way to save ). Oh, and he has special eyes that allow him to see in the dark, but this also means he has to wear shaded goggles any time he's in a lit up room or it's blinding since he can't "turn off" the ability to see in darkness. He's just a straight up bad a** in so many ways I love it lol.

The last movie I watched was X-Men: Days of Future Past. I was talking to one of my friends when they noticed that I actually hadn't finished one of the X-Men movies, and they insisted that finish watching the end of Days of Future Past before we go on to watch Logan. lol As usual, I enjoyed the special effects for this film, but I particularly enjoyed how they were able to create such a stark a contrast between the characters and the world that was succumbing to the Sentinels, with their counterparts in the world (in the past) that still had a "future" so to speak.

Spoiler:
Some of my favorite scenes would probably be the ones where QuickSilver demonstrates his fast-moving abilities. =) They really reminded me of Hammy's scenes in the movie called Over the Hedge. lol

I was just watching Princess and the Frog. I haven't seen it since it's release, love the style of music in it... can't beat the southern song vibes! (Also not the original fairy tale, and it's a much better version of it if you ask me!)

The last movie I watched was Looper. I watched it on Netflix with my brother and I was pretty surprised I hadn't seen it till then. There are a few things about the movie that really stand out to me a lot, mainly the base concept. In an alternate (or maybe future?) society, time travel exists and works, but it is illegal and only the rich and "powerful" have access to it. The story follows a hitman (or looper) who works for a mob that controls or owns one of these time travel devices. In addition to the owners own desires, they also use the device to send targets to the past where the looper waits for them at a designated spot they arrive. Why? I can't remember right now, and I honestly think it's mentioned briefly if at all. >.<
And that's kind of why I wouldn't say I love the movie, because I found the way the events unfolded ungraceful and with pretty poor timing. But like I said, I found myself intrigued with the concept (my tastes are actually very peculiar when it comes to movies) and the actors also did a very decent job. Two big thumbs up for whoever did Joseph Gordon Levitt's makeup, I legitimately did not know it was him for like the first 30 minutes lol.

I wonder what the character limit on this thing is.

The last movie I watched was actually an anime movie. lol I figured I should watch all of the anime movies for Ghost in the Shell (starting with the one from 1995) again before I go to watch the live-action remakes on the big screen in the theaters. =)

pinkeyedtree : I'm just going to put some of this text in spoiler tags for those that still want to watch Looper. ^^0;;

Spoiler:
If I recall correctly (and correct me if I'm wrong), Looper was about how people were being sent back to the past to eradicate their old selves. The story is a bit convoluted but the gist of it is that at one point, someone kills the lover of the main character and then that group tries to kill him, but he ends up going back in time (through that machine) to meet up with his old self to try to tell him what happened, and to change the course of history.

Speaking of Marvel movies, the last movie I watched was Deadpool, very funny and very epic. And lots of fourth-wall breaks like the Deadpool we all know and love.

The last movie I watched was Singin' in the Rain (1952). One of my friends suddenly started joking with me yesterday about the "no no no" and "yes yes yes" scene, so we decided it would be fun to watch that movie again together. Even now, Singin' in the Rain remains one of my favorite movies of all time because of the music and the talented actors and actresses that were involved in the making of the film, and also because it captured some of the thoughts of the time regarding silent films and the transition to films with sound.

I was just watching Almost Famous. First time seeing it, and boy am I glad I did! It was awesome! It's a great tribute to Rock n' Roll, has one of the best soundtracks to any movie in a while, and it doesn't forget to have a good time!

Well, I also just finished watching Guardians of the Galaxy again, as it was on TV today. My grandad didn't quite get it, as he was watching it for the first time, but going back to it having watched some other films as part of the MCU, I understand things a bit better now.
Spoiler:
The point where Star-Lord switches out the Infinity Stone for something else at the end still makes me chuckle. It makes up for the near-death of Groot, after all.

The last movie I watched was Robin Hood (the Disney movie).  I watched the movie with a kid I was watching over and even now, I still love the film. =) I always thought it was phenomenal how Disney managed to portray all of the characters from the story of Robin Hood with more or less original character designs by representing each character with an animal, which also adds more depth to the characters. Personally, I've always liked Robin Hood and Maid Marian, and the moment they share by the water with the flower ring is probably one of my favorite Disney scenes. I also still think that the bunnies in that film are some of the cutest animated bunnies in animation history (the baby bunny is just so adorable ).

I last watched American Ultra. It's a great movie. (Probably the only movie with Kristen Stewart actually does solid acting.)

Spy thrillers are about the best genre ever!

I decided to rewatch the Ratchet and Clank movie again, as I have it on DVD. And, well... While I am kinda bummed they didn't have as much in the movie as you can get in the game, I still enjoy it, and see it as the media's take on the origins, rather than Quark's which takes up the game version - putting them together, you'll see a bit more of what went down, especially with regards to the bad guys in the film as the film does cut to them some more than in the game.

I'm watching Schindler's List in genocide class. Right now at the "true power is not killing" part. Certainly a lot to talk about - Schindler's relationship with Stern and the worker's, the liquidation of the ghetto, and more.

The last movie I watched in full was The Mechanic: Resurrection. Average Netflix popcorn flick (I certainly ate my share of popcorn) that's good to pass time but bad for critical analysis.
