There should be a lot of Wii news starting Wednesday night. We're talking price, release date, new games, online info, pretty much everything it seems.

There's been a bit of info, but I'm thinking maybe tomorrow morning I can show you some info, if not by the end of tomorrrow I should be able to show you everything that was revealed. Japan has a conference going on in a few hours early tomorrow morning here. The US conference is a bit later in the day. The European conference is on the 15th.

Lots of Wii info. Price, date, etc. posted for the US and Japan the European date will be revealed tommorrow in their conference.

A couple of interesting things:
Wii Channels: A Weather, A News channel both of witch require an internet connection, a Mii channel (where you create a small you that can be used in certain games), a photo and video channel where you can view and edit each, and a place to send messages to other Wii's, PC's or cell phones.

2 new games in Wii Sports, bowling and Boxing (which looks kinda cool

Launch day in the US: November 19 $250, Wii Sports included.

Link is Right handed in the Wii version, there's a possibility you could make him left handed imo, but only time will tell.

There will be 30 VC games by the end of the year, and 10 a month after that.

Opera web browser available.

First Party games $50 US, no word on AUS prices. Virtual Console games $4 to $9. Also MSX (I think) Arcade games will be added to the mix. It's looking pretty cool. I guess I'll start saving after I buy the last 2 FMA's.

European launch date December 8 2006, priced at £179 (249 Euros). Package will include console, Wiimote, nunchuck, cables and all that jazz. Oh and Wii Sports. Er, games will cost £35 - £39 in the UK and 49-59 Euros elsewhere. Europe, for example. Sorry about the slackness there. I was updating two places at once. -IGN Wii

It's 2 days after, but the PS3 is only releaseing with 500,000 units (100,000 of which are going to Japan) while there will be 4 Million Wiis out by the end of the year. Still no clue on the European release date.

Whats party games and virtual console games?

It always throws me off when Zylo posts because he posts so little now.

First party games are the ones made by Nintendo.

Virtual Console games are the NES, SNES, Genesis, N64, Turbogfx 16, and now MSX Arcade games that will be available to download.

Thats pretty cool .
But if there downloadable. And the Wii is connectible to a computer (i assume it can be... somehow...) then you will probably be able to find them for free.

You would have to hack the system first, and Nintendo is always one to make that really difficult. So that won't happen as much as you'd think.

well.. hard to believe that the Wii will actually completely destroy the PS3 on the market... But uhh yeah... I mean im still not gonna get one... but it looks like nintendo will be targeting a lager audience... Moving up to teenagers... and these days by teenagers they men 15-40 year old males... The new Mario game is looking pretty good actually. No idea why you think Mario is dead, this one looks to be the best yet.

Oh and don't tell me MS is releasing a Halo in any shape form or fashion on 360, Halo is dead

Mario pretty much saved video games, if you don't remember. Atari tried to kill them by releasing games like Bobby's favorite game of all time E.T. (which from what I've heard is actually in a landfill somewhere).

Halo isn't dead, I wouldn't be surprised if halo 2 was one of the best sellers for Xbox. Master Chief is the Xbox version of Mario. But to tell you the truth, I grew out of liking Mario and his games. Not violent enough for me

I'd also probably prefer Wii over PS3. And if I did choose PS3, it'd only be for final fantasy.

Nah I'll chose a Wii over a PC, because multiplayer is easier.

Btw don't knock the new Mario yet,, I've heard it's better than Mario 64.
Anyways I'm trying to figure out what version of Linux to download. There are so many.

Tch the Wii dont do WLM, Firefox, X-Chat, X-Fire, Last.Fm, Winamp and Starcraft all at the same time... so nuts to the Wii....
