I kind of resent shows like Law & Order. They produce what is called the "CSI effect." It is great that these shows get the general public interested in Criminal Justice and Forensic Science, but it produces an unrealistic set of beliefs about them --matching a fingerprint can take weeks even months to complete, not mere minutes.
