Michael Jackson's Moonwalker classgame
Well, Let's talk about MJ...man it seems anyone with the initials MJ back in the day practically ruled the world, Michael Jackson, Michael Jordan (hell they even did a music vid-er I mean "short film" as Jackson preferred to call it together, the video being Jam, too bad Moonwalker came out BEFORE Dangerous did as I can see Jam, Black or White, or Remember the Time being included in this) and for a very long time back when I still had a Genesis.
of course I first played this game on this exact site 11 years ago as an SMS on a Java emulator, but today we're going to talk about the game on the GEN system, because I don't need a plugin to play this.
Story and Gameplay: This game is based off the last bit of Michael Jackson's Straight to Video movie Moonwalker, which was mostly just a collection of well, how do I explain this this was mostly a love letter to himself. Anyway MJ is the smooth criminal in this one he's saving children (mostly little girls that are modeled to look like the little girl in that was in Moonwalker) from the crazy drug peddler that was in that bit, I could make a home alone joke but I won't.
Graphic: Way better than the SMS version.
Soundtrack: What isn't there to love about the soundtrack, a video game with Michael Jackson music in the background? YES PLEASE!
Addictive: I want to play it on this site again but none of the emulators seem to work I keep seeing that Not loading properly on the RetroArch players (sorry but this one works best for me even though I have shared my problems with it).
Depth: You have more to do in this version than in the SMS release, at least you can kick in this game you can't in SMS. Here you can kick, and punch pixie dust in enemies faces, and we get a real boss round to face off against.
Difficulty: I had to play this game again on a different site because like I said none of the RetroArch players work for this game on this site. I got as far as level 4 once, the round with the Spiders and Billie Jean, the cemetery level was a real PITA especially in the boss level, those floating zombies, those dogs ugh! it's a miracle I was able to get to the spiders for the first time at all.
Overall: to be honest, I've never got to the end of this game but there's nothing in the by-laws that say I would have to have finished the game in order to post a review for this. I would have killed to have played this game when I was 14, heck considering that I had my GEN at the time still we could have, but we never did find a copy of it, and man do I ever miss Cash Converters (which was a pawn shop where my dad always found
replacement consoles for me when something stopped working. Moonwalker actually was supposed to be released in theaters but for budgetary reasons it had to go straight to video (which I do own a copy of) we sadly didn't get a theatrical film until This is It came out 4 months after his death, which still kind of hurts...the movie was good though, it was the closest I would ever get to seeing Jackson in concert. And as for the game itself it's better than the movie.
I will give this a 9.

a very good game indeed mastersword321
OK, well, I think this is a great game. Very challenging, very fun, not too hard either. I love how you can do all of Micheal's famous moves and how they can help you get to hard to reach areas. i love to play this on my spare time and if im bored it will always brighten my spirits. my favorite thing to do in this game is hold the magic button and do a dance solo to defeat all nearby enemy's. overall, this is a fantastic game and i will always play it on my spare time or if all else fails. i hope you found this review usefull and satisfying. dont get hit by a smooth criminal!

Michael Jackson is awesome. I love a lot of his songs. But before his ghost movie, before captain EO, there was moonwalker. Now I'm not here to talk about the movie, I'm here to talk about the game. This a great game for the genesis. The graphics are good, there not really spectral, but remember, its not about graphics, its about game play. Now the game play is a little easy and hard. The first levels are pretty short, but the latter levels are big and long, its gets a little to hard. For the music... ITS ALL M J MUSIC FOR ALL FIVE LEVELS!!! So, the music good... although in level 3 its not the right music for it, I don't want to spoil it, so just get to level 3 and see for your self. There not really any story, but it fallows the movie good. The games not real long, but its really hard. Its 3 lives, no continues. Although there is a code to for a stage select. Over all this game awesome. Play it. NOW!!!

one of the best celb endores games evilcon09
Lets dance to the beats of 16 bits of Michel Jackson best music as a solo singer
the games main story is that MR Big who kidnaps little girls in order to kill Michel Jackson and rule the world so Michel must dance to save the kids and his life and the world from Mr bigs rule
the music is very well done despite the music is from some of the songs and used in midi format which leads to 16 bit music we know and love
the best part of the game in my case is getting all the baddies to dance to the death and ends with Michel dose his well known ahooo ( if that's how you spell it right) with the music from that stage personally I love the smooth criminal
