I was feeling curious during my coding class and I thought I'd pop this question. What's your favorite NES Game? Mine is Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!!!. I love the game and I've been playing it for over a decade. I keep playing it over and over again. I love it and it never gets boring for me. So what's your favorite NES game? I wanna know!

That's a pretty easy question. Right away I think Super Mario Bros. 3. I used to play this game all the time when I was a kid. I loved to play through the whole game and explore it 100%. The overworld maps looked really cool, and I liked the whole storyline and idea behind the game as well. I've actually played several hacks of this game too, and they're also pretty good. SMB3 only got better, in my opinion, when it was ported to the SNES for Super Mario All-Stars and the Gameboy Advance for Super Mario Advance 4.

I would have to say the one I was playing earlier, Dragon Warrior. I fell in love with RPGs when I was 8 years old and that was my first one. It just seems so simple to me. My uncle was telling me that was probably one reason the Japanese fell in love with not only this title, but other Dragon Quest/Warrior games. He said their culture seems way more simplistic than ours does, but I'm thinking because something seems to be that way doesn't necessarily follow that it is that way.

I would have to say Battle Kid, specifically Battle Kid 2. While I'm not the best player it is a fun game and is rewarding when you finally beat something at it. I recommend anyone this game if they want a NES game that's challenging and has nice music.

I'm fond with several NES games but my most favorite one is Kirby's Adventure. I liked it as a platformer on the console, as well as the 100% system and world selection. I wasn't good at discovering secrets and progressing through the game when I was a child, but I did enjoy it anyway. I still play and complete it sometimes in my freetime from my smartphone using an NES emulator.

Super Mario Bros. I know it's not the most imaginative option. But it was always my go to as a child when I was bored. We got an NES when I was three and it was the first video game I ever learned how to play. Well, that one and a Sesame Street game.

Does Famicom count? If so: Splatterhouse Wanpaku Graffiti, hands down. In fact, that may be my favorite game from before '96 (including all 8 and 16 bit games) with the possible exception of Toejam & Earl on the Genesis and Harvest Moon on SNES. lol

If Famicom doesn't count, then probably one of the following: Super Mario Bros. 2 (U.S.), Super Mario Bros. 3, Nintendo World Cup, or Little Nemo. Little Nemo was by far the most creative and cutest, so it probably takes the title of favorite NES game honestly. Can't say for sure though.

My favorite NES game is Pac-Man. I've played the NES version of it for many years, just like I have with the original game.

As for games that aren't conversions of other games, my favorite is Super Mario Bros. I didn't take a very long time to beat it and for a long time, I kept playing it and trying to get a crazy high score.

Oh wow I would have to say Mega 4. That was my favorite Mega Man game and NES game. I really liked that game. The music was awesome, the bosses were awesome the plot was good. I also liked how you could charge Mega Man's Buster shots.

I am going to also give four honorable mentions as I enjoyed this games as well and rank them pretty high.

Super Mario Bros 3. This was really a great game and showed what the NES could do. The graphics were amazing. I liked this game cause it also introduced the Koopalings. The game had very nice themes and music. I played that one a lot

Super Mario Bros 2. This game introduced something new to the series. Plus getting to throw veggies at enemies was comical. I also liked how you could chose between Mario, Luigi, Toad or Peach. The awesome tunes were nice too.

Mega Man 3. This was an awesome game as it had some very colorful backgrounds. It also had amazing bosses with very good music. Plus it introduced Mega Man's ability to slide oh yeah and Rush.

Kirby's Adventure. Very good game I liked the plot and this game introduced Kirby's copy abilities. It was nice to try the game with different weapons. Plus the stage and their themes were nice. Oh yeah the music was good.

Super Mario Bros. 3 will always be my favorite, I'd say. It did so many amazing things for the platforming genre, and is still tons of fun to play today. It's an all-time classic.

Tecmo's River City Ransom --a 2 player Double-Dragonish beat-em up sidescroller with chubby marshmellow juvie delinquents for characters. Better than it sounds (unless you think marshmellow people are hilarious, then its even better).

I would think my favorite NES game in general would be an obvious one like Mario 3. But honestly, one of the games I like that nobody else really talks about is Snoopy's Silly Sports Spectatular. It's a game I played when I was little and is a fun game filled with mini games like the olympics. A fun game to put in if you like the Peanuts world.

Super Mario Bros. is my favorite NES game. I remember first playing it back then on an NES (in early 2000s). It was very enjoyable, it really got me into the Super Mario franchise.

I doubt I could pick a favorite.... I like too many.

Super Mario, Mega Man, Metroid, Zelda, Castlevania, Dragon Warrior, Duck Hunt, Excitebike...

That was off the top of my head. I can only imagine how many more great games there were for the NES that I'm forgetting about. Such a great system.

For me, there are quite a few good ones to choose from, but these are the ones that stand out the most:

Zelda II: The adventures of Link, Castlevania, Dragon Quest, Metroid, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Final Fantasy, and even Tetris to name a few. Of these, Zelda II is my favorite among favorites, but they're all really enjoyable in their own right.
