I wanted to get an idea on a problem that I have been having. I wanted to know if it's something that has to do with vizzed that other people experience, or if it's just something that has to do with my phone and my internet. Of course if it's only something that has to do with phones, then maybe you won't experience it at all if you only use a laptop or whatever, but who knows.

Over the past couple of days, I have been having a very painful experience with typing posts at night, specifically after midnight, or 11 PM server time. It seems that whenever I type on vizzed during this time, my phone gets hit with a huge amount of lag and slows down drastically. It isn't just speed issues that I'm facing, my phone can't seem to keep up with the letters I'm typing and seem to blend different letters into different places.

For example, the last post that I made before this took a full 3 minutes to type up even though it's only 50 or so words and I already knew exactly what I wanted to say. I would physically type the first 5 or so words of a sentence, but once the 5th word is physically typed, I have to stop because only the first word or two actually appear.

Then I have to wait like 5 to 10 seconds and everything else appears, but the rest of the words becomes a jumbled mess of autocorrected words that make no sense, sometimes many more words appear than what I was actually typing for some reason. When I was typing this up in a notes document, it took me less than 5 minutes to type the entire thing up with only a few mistakes, and then even when I went to copy and paste this into a thread, it still took about 30 seconds for the words to load in.

This appears to only happen during the final hour of the server day and only when posting on vizzed. It's been only happening for the past 3 or 4 days (maybe longer considering I haven't been posting during the final hour a lot before this year) and it's a high pain.

Has anyone else been experiencing something like this either on their phone or computer? Does anyone have any ideas on why it could be happening or advice onto any possible ways that could alleviate the dire pain of it?

I don't seem to have a problem with it. I imagine it's a phone thing, but I dunno, I haven't used a phone for a almost a year now. If not the phone then it's most likely your internet or something like that.

I don't have this problem, either, and is very likely just your phone. It sounds a lot like a problem with your phone speed and ISP just giving you crappy service around late night times (which is a lot like what mine does). I post on my phone and laptop at around that time and I have no problem of the sort other than lag from my phone itself (usually caused by the heavy amounts of content on this site and not really being mobile friendly).  Also, I'd advise you test it on your laptop as well so you can diagnose the problem right.

However, I do have problem with site lag in general at around the last hour of server time. That may be a contributor to your problem.

The server reboots or updates daily at that time. My suggestion, don't post near 11PM server time. I ran into similar problems before on my computer except I get the black server strain page that appears for 5 minutes or so. I guess you could try switching to the old post editor when typing. I don't know what it's like on phone but I've had lag and other problems with the new post editor using a desktop. It's probably Vizzed, it's too much of a coincidence that it happens same time the server reboots each day.

I've used my phone sometimes for posting when I can't finish off during the night. I don't really have much problem with it maybe because I haven't ran into what you have. '-'

JogSaw: The server page usually appears at 1AM for me and usually doesn't affect anything. And the lag starts a whole hour before the reboot, so I doubt that those two have anything in common, but it is only vizzed that I see it from.

1 AM EST is roughly when the server does most of its heavy work. I can confirm this because this is "my" time of the night, and it's always been like this, even since I was a global moderator, basically.

The server always updates around that time, because it's when the least amount of people are effected.

legacyme3 : Yeah, that's kind of what I was saying to try to prove my point, I don't get the lag at 1 AM EST, when the servers themselves go haywire, my problems start about 60 to 90 minutes before 1 AM. Take today for instance, I have been having to use Notes to write up my posts and then copy and paste them ever since about 11:45 PM EST.

Nope, I haven't experienced post lag or something like this on any of my devices, and haven't for a while now. This might just be an issue with something on your end. Good luck with fixing the lag!

Yuna1000 : I don't think it could be something on my end because I get the problem with my own data, home internet, and even when I'm out late using wifi. So it can't be from the internet and it's on every device.
