Ah, summer. No school, pools, the hot sun.
I hate it all.
I honestly have no idea why people like it. I mean I have a vague idea but still can't comprehend it.

A list of why I hate it:
- No school. Bit controversial. Yes, having no school is really fun...for about a week. But having three months (I know the time changes in different places) but it's really boring. It gets really mundane, almost like if you're stuck in a cycle. I know you can switch it up ever know and then, but you can't do something like that every single day.

- The weather. Oh god the weather. It's absolutely terrible. Unless you are 100% of the time on a beach/pool, it's terrible being all sweaty and everything.

- insects and such. I know they're good for the most part, but what about mosquitoes and such? They're not that great for the enviroment, and it's really suck to deal with them.
Also flies, ugh.

- This goes with my first point, but the pressure of "having fun". You have no school, and if you aren't going out literally every single day of your vacations, it's a "wasted day". There's so much pressure on "having fun" but only having fun in the way society tells you too. It's really sucky.

So I really am glad winter is back.

I totally agree 100%. I've hated summer pretty much my whole life too mainly due to the atrocious heat and humidity, and the annoying bugs like bees and wasps. I used to not mind it so much when I was a kid due to summer vacation, but since those days are over, I hate everything about summer, and I'm so glad fall's back.

Not everyone is going to like summer. I've gotten used to the fact its boring. Even when I try to go out it wouldn't be much and only to the same places. So now my mother said I have to try and go out more which is something I don't really argue on her about. Because since its true. I like summer a bit more than winter. I do like winter but as I told you before my body can't stand the cold for health reasons. I can understand why people hate summer I do because of the heat mostly and the boredom as well.

I would recommend we genocide mosquitoes.

Yeah I hate the bugs and the heat. They make summer unbearable.

I actually like summer. After all, I live in a very sunny country where temperatures are high most of the year.

Having no school for that long does get boring, and insects are a pain to deal with, but that's all I'm going to agree with you.

I absolutely love heat. I prefer sweating for the heat rather than shaking for the cold. True is that, at times, humidity makes the heat nearly unbearable, but it's just a matter of adapting routines and habits to a hotter ambient. After all, you must adapt to the climate of your city, and over the years you end up welcoming it. And well, if we include health problems related to being cold, then the scale goes totally one-sided.

You can also have fun while staying in the city and doing almost nothing. Over here, for 3-4 weeks, the night was almost more noisy than the day. Most people is out on vacations, so you're free to roam the city without any kind of massification or traffic. Hell, it's almost like you can walk nude. It may not seem "socially accepted" but it's refreshing as hell, even more in a heavily populated city like mine.

Fall isn't really back over here, and I'm happy it's getting delayed.

Summer is alright to me. I guess I've had a lot of good summers and a lot of bad summers so I'm not very sure what to make of it.

This summer was probably one of my best, I had a lot of fun with friends and I didn't have much to do when I just wanted to be alone. Not having responsibilities was almost freeing. I'm not scared of them or anything, I just wanted the break after a very stressful junior year.

I'll be an adult before next summer and I'll have a lot of things to tackle, so I know it'll be very different from any other summer. But I'm prepared for it.

The heat is the thing that I can't stand about the summer. Heck, it's been more than a week since Fall started and I'm still sweating in a white TShirt (Literally right now) I hate the heat. The sun is great if it's cool out or at least has a nice breeze, but if it's hot, it sucks.

I love summer. The sun. Being able to throw on a summer dress and flipflops and head out the door looking presentable. No snow. Being able to walk and not freeze. No snow. Did I mention the lack of frozen H20?

I know down south it's a different story but up here most of us love it.

And this is why I prefer the fall.

Having no school for 3 months is really, really boring. In fact literally everyone I talked to near the beginning of school said that they thought summer that year was awful and they had nothing to do.

The heat is awful and I honestly don't mind the cold at all. At least there's an easy way to get warm while it's rather difficult to get cold from my experience.

And the bugs can go die in a fire.

Also as someone who has allergies to pollen, being outside during the summer isn't that fun when your nose is running and itching like crazy. Thankfully it never gets worse than that but it's still awful.

Summer is definitely my least favorite season. The no school and lack of mental stress is pretty nice, and the abundance of free time is pretty great too. However, the weather (especially here) is awful. The coolest it will get in summer is the mid to upper 80's (in Fahrenheit). It's usually in the mid 90's and sometimes even goes into triple digits. The insect bites are really annoying. Another thing that I find annoying about summer is putting on sunscreen. It smells pretty good, but it's really tedious to put on and makes your hands very slippery.

I can kind of relate to you about the school part. On the one hand I do enjoy not having to deal with the stress that comes with school but at the same time I start to feel very restless after a few weeks and almost miss it. That of course changes about a month in or so to the semester. Kind of why I'll be looking into getting a summer job of some sort next summer.

I don't mind the weather so much since I live in Sweden, even if I do live in the southern part where the weather is closer to standard European one, it usually doesn't get incredibly hot here to where one can't go out. The only time it's really annoying for me is when going to work out and it's really hot inside the gym, but that's not a dealbreaker.

I also don't really mind the "pressure" since I've never been one to be too bothered by social expectations though I can't say it doesn't cross my mind at all. The way I see it as long as I'm doing things I find enjoyable, I'm doing something decent with my summer.

I much prefer winter though because of the decorations and enjoying all the festivities. It feels like the winter break is just long enough to where I can really relax but not to the point where I'll get extremely bored. I also enjoy the look of snow and you don't have to deal with any annoying bugs

You had me until the being boring part.
I hate the heat, insects, and fact that kids aren't in school.
It makes my job and life in general much harder when kids aren't confined to schools.

Summer is okay, though yes it does get boring. Only thing I find good about it is that I can finally sleep more than 5 to 6 hours....I love having 8 hours of sleep.

Ya'll are a bunch of crazies

Summer is where it's at, but maybe I only feel that way because it gets cold as crap where I live in the Winter. I much prefer the heat over being cold any day. But I also love swimming, spending tons of time outdoors, and it was awesome to get out of school when I still went, as well as the fact my friends who are still in school get to be on break and have more free time.

Generally I hate summer too, but ever since I moved out to California, I've actually enjoyed it way more.

I think it's because of the humidity more than the heat. I used to live in an area that was humid year round, so it was always terrible, even when it was cold.

Now, I have hot dry heats and that is so fun.

Well to me "having fun" is sitting home playing games or doing nothing. Am I boring? Yes. Am I happy? Yes. Good enough for me. Lol

But I agree: Summer is awful. I hate it so much. Winter is my favorite month and Autumn is second, and thankfully we get to go from one right into the other. Can we just make Summer disappear?

I only like Winter and Autumn. Although I do like the sun, the heat isn't enjoyable. That being said, it gets crazy cold where I am, so the cold isn't all that enjoyable either. If I had to choose though, I'd choose winter. Being outside when all is still as if time has stopped right after it had snowed is probably the best thing ever.

I'm pretty much the opposite. I really love the summer. But I am quite different though... Because...

Back when I was in high school, my high school was boring, depressing, I had no real friends, so much work, pressure... etc. It is just that school is no fun. It is just lots of work and a depressing effect to me. That's about it.

The weather in where I live is not too bad... I just wear light clothes and inside, I always turn on the AC. So it's not that bad for me. And I'm the guy who gets cold easily. lol. But if I'm a place with no AC, then I can definitely agree with you sometimes.

As for bugs, yikes. No argument. I hate mosquitoes and wasps tooooo much.

But overall, I still like summer just to relax and not be annoyed from school. But now that I'm in college, I'm not sure yet to tell if I would like summer more or not, but college is quite different from high school so my opinion might change. (college is much more fun)

I feel ya there...

Yes, no school is the best part, but it can start to drive you crazy within a few weeks; I don't really have that much to do, since I live half a mile into the woods with only a few neighboring houses (of my relatives), and we're poor, so I don't really do as much as most of my classmates.

Also, living with six other weirdos for 2 months straight can start to drive you a bit stir-hungry from time to time. Don't get me wrong; I love my family, I just need to mingle every once in a while! XD

The heat and humidity were problems as well- we have no AC, so I'm constantly sweaty and lazy because of the heat.
Our weather can't make up its dang mind either; it'll either pour for a week or have a drought-ridden heat wave for two, and that really messes with us!

In terms of bugs, it sucks. And quite literally, might I add; the mosquitoes are constantly eating us up. There are also plenty of gnats and fruit flies outside. It isn't fun when any of these get in your face. The wasps & hornets (especially the occasional giant one) are also a threat around these parts.

And to top it all off, our already sucky DSL connection hardly even works half the time during the Summer.

Yes, Summer might be great, but for me, the other seasons are better.

Another thing is that I'm going to ironically but also unironically post something relevant yet irrelevant
