For the last couple weeks I have been seeing trailers for the new Snowden movie all over the place. Since its a movie about an event that happened so recently that I already know so much about, i didn't find it interesting and had no plans to see it, but I recently changed my mind because im able to see a special screening of the movie, which i think could be pretty cool. If you go to see a movie in theaters, and are there before the trailers even start, you will see all kinds of ads, whether special ads for shows, products, or anything.
One of the ads, which usually shows with every movie is for a special screening series called Fathom Events. They always show plays, sporting events, random classy movies/shows, interviews, documentaries or whatever for one or two days only and they never interest me until I found out about this event. This event called Snowden Live, is two parts with the first being a screening of the movie, which happens to be a few days before it comes out, and after the movie there's going to be a 45 minute live interview streamed between the director of the movie from NYC and Snowden himself in Moscow, which I think is awesome.
The event will be September 14th and ill talk a bit about it and the experience afterwards here. Anyone else plan on seeing the movie?
