I'm sitting here in an office chair that's at least a decade old and may even be older than me. It's no longer comfortable, doesn't recline very far, and slides backwards constantly. It looks like this but shorter and without a headrest. It makes me yearn for my normal chair- black leather that reclines at up to 40 degrees. My favourite kind of chair.

But I ask you guys- what's your favourite chair? Any specific example or do you like one type in general? Do you prefer certain chairs in different situations?

I say for me the most comfortable chair will have to be the one you posted. Something like that I might fall asleep on since its so comfy, but as you said when it gets to the point of no longer being used so well. It can cause you pain on your back, and all which will mean you need to buy a new chair. For me I don't have a comfortable one. Mine is pretty standard and it hurts my back its one of the main reasons I don't stay too long in the living room, and on my desktop. So when I like get a better chair to sit on I will be able to stay longer hours in the living room. For now I can't, and just make do with the hours I can stay long for. '-'

I brother recently got one of those dxracer computer chairs that have all kinds of reclining/adjustment options.
That is one amazing chair... I love that chair. It has to be one of my favorite chairs ever... I want one...

Ugh... I have a black leather chair and I hate it. It's comfy enough but it retains heat like no other. I sweat like a stuck pig while I sit in it. I used to have a nice cloth chair with a mesh back. It was so comfy and breezy, I could sit in that thing all day. Luckily, I have that kind of chair at work or I would definitely go insane. But yeah, this chair? Not my cup of tea.

My favorite kind of chair would be one that has legs at least 3ft long and a back at least 4 1/2 ft with long arm rests, don't care much about the seat, it just needs to be built sturdy.

Most other chairs cause back or neck pain.

I will trip you out, I found a $200 chair in the dumpster area of my apartment complex.

It's brand new. I thoroughly vacuumed it and wiped it down with alcohol Windex.

The only thing wrong with it is the handle for lifting the chair is broken.

I came up though since I don't need to raise the chair.

A good chair is essential for gaming or working, but I can use almost anything as a seat. I have been known to use a 5 gallon bucket for a seat at times. What I use for gaming is a cheap Wal Mart office chair,it is not super comfortable, but it does the job.
