There are a great many things that I do without thinking about it, I've come to realize. I can't really come up with a reason why I do them, either. Things like preferring to sit cross-legged, even when on a stool or chair, balancing on one leg while resting my other on my knee when standing still, only putting one thing on my plate at a time and finishing it before I get something else, the list goes on...

So, does anyone else have their own oddities, or am I just a weirdo? If so, I can live with that.

I've been thinking about making a thread similar to this for a while now. Depending on how this ends up, I might not have to now.
My strange habits:
•When drinking (especially from a can) I hold my pinky out. No idea why, it just happens without thought.

•I randomly burst into song, but not just any song. No, I start singing whatever words I heard last, whether they rhyme or not. *starts singing the words "whether they rhyme or not" to a random tune*

•I shout random words and phrases as exclamations. The most common are: gravy, gravy boat, pineapple juice, and -- wait for it -- beanbags and jelly donuts. Yes, I actually say that. But any (clean) word could fly out at any given moment. Because soup!

•When standing still I often sway back and forth as though to some melody, whether I hear music or not.

Man, I could list so many more things...

Eirinn : I think I would probably bust up laughing every time you throw a random noun or sing the last words of a sentence. Especially given the conversations me and my siblings have... Me and my sister had a small exchange of words with each other on the way home from town and it ended with me saying "Don't hide my body in the freezer." lol

Well.... I am obsessed with even numbers. I always open up two tabs on my internet browser for no real reason, always pause videos at an even time frame, wash my hands eight time a day, brush my teeth four or more times, always acquire an even amount of books when at the library, make an even number of posts and threads on Vizzed.... the list goes on.

I also love re-reading certain pages in books constantly, even when it is unnecessary. I'm kind of strange. 

One of mine is that I like to pop or crack my knuckles constantly. It feels good and it does not hurt anyone. I also tend to like odd numbers,I do not know why.

as for myself I prefer odd numbers to even ones, like Oldschool777 I crack my knucklez and it does feel good when I do so though I also crack some of the bonez in my neck from time to time when I start to feel stiff, when ever I'm really angry I growl and it soundz exactly like a dog's growling in anger, normally I don't cuss at all though when angry that restraint vanishes and I start to cuss like a sailor as the saying goes ...

lets see what else is there ... I guess my own typing style with the use of the letter Z in some of the wordz can be considered a quirk, I can also change the tone of my voice to a few ranges/pitches which ever word fits for that, when ever I listen to a certain accent in an anime or TV show long enough I start to mimic it for a while without thinking aboutz it

I tend to bounce my leg when sitting still which can get annoying for those beside me. I also sometimes randomly spasm about like a lunatic (I don't have any mental problems that I know of). I do also put my pinky out when I am drinking tea. Apparently it is how the Queen drinks her tea or something like that.

I always twist a pen around my fingers when I'm sitting still. No clue why but it gives me something to do I guess.
Back in school I used to do it during the entire class lol. When we had boring subjects me and the guy next to me would shoot the top part of our pen at people.


I also stick my hands in my pockets all the time. It just feels more comfortable I guess. Even when going up or down stairs I'm too lazy to take them out of my pockets.

Probably the most annoying thing I do is just randomly zone out/space out and get lost in thought. I'm half aware of it usually, but sometimes, I just do it and completely lose track of time, almost like I've frozen in time, but everything else is still moving around me.
I'm also fairly OCD, and will usually move stuff around until I see it as "perfect" (or nearly perfect). Again, I'm usually half aware of when I do this.

DylanMcKaig : I do the leg bouncing thing too. Drives my brother and sister up the wall.

tornadocam : I've been accused of being OCD because I set up my videogame collection a very specific way each time, alphabetically and chronologically files every game and find a place for everything in my room. My room looks like a bomb went off, but it's completely organized. As the saying goes: "a place for everything and everything in it's place."

jokool : I zone out and get lost in thought very, very frequently. In fact, many people assume I'm stoned all the time even though I've never seen anything elicit in person before, let alone used.

Something else I forgot to add to the list is the fact that I have a really hard time standing still, even if I've been up for 18 hours. If I'm standing, I have to be walking or pacing. That is, when I'm not balancing on one leg, as I stated in my original post.

Well, apart from the leg bouncing, I have a habit of rubbing my head a lot... basically any time my hands are free.

I end up picking my fingernails almost every time I'm nervous and it's difficult to realize I'm doing it, especially when I'm alone in my bedroom. Also, I often feel like I have to wash my hands whether I've been touching any dirty objects or not. It's like I have to do it at least once every hour XD

Another thing I do without realizing is that every time I finish typing something on the computer, I hit the right arrow key a bunch of times and see if I have any extra spaces at the end on accident.

I also twist a pen between my fingers a lot and I'm not sure why I do it, it's not a nervous tick or anything it's just something I do.
I am very OCD with certain things and a big clean freak.

I noticed my *things must be placed in certain spots* back in middle school my desk was always set up the same way and same with home, my games were always in order, music was the same way.

I used to rub my ear lobe *right side* it was indeed a nervous tick but I managed to stop doing it because it started to annoy me rather than help when being nervous

A couple other things that had just come to mind are the fact that I have great difficulty making eye contact with people. I don't even think about it, really... I also have a tendency to unintentionally say the exact opposite what what I mean or what I'm thinking. People are all like "....You mean [insert thing here]." and I'm like "...What did I say..?"

I just recently noticed that I wash my hands more often than I should. Another habit I've recently noticed is that I try to pull the lever thing on my computer chair to make the seat go up, but the seat is already up. I really hope I'm not the only one who does this, otherwise I'm going to feel kind of stupid. XD

LunarDarkness2 : I've done the opposite lol. I'll sometimes try to lower it when it's already bottomed out. It's not as silly as some of the other things I've done before..... Which, by the way, gives me an idea for a thread.
