Amazing movies with terrible acting

So I just finished watching Speed, which weirdly enough as a 90s kid I have never watched. And I gotta say, it really holds up. It compensates for the bad acting with some of the most riveting action sequences I have ever seen in any action thriller, period. In the scenes where there isn't much action going on, you start to notice the terrible acting with Keanu Reeves and the bad script and dialogue with Sandra Bullock (who is leagues better than Reeves, lol) but then when the action kicks in, it makes everything soooooo worth it. 

Are there any movies that you know of that's like this? A movie with really bad script and acting, but where the action and filmwork is so well done that the suspense make it worth it?

I think a good example would be the most recent Tron movie, apparently a lot of people hated the way it was made, but the effects were beyond spectacular.
