Hey everyone. It's been awhile since I have talked to you all and I thought I would take this time to give you all a little update on what's been going on in my life. On Saturday, April 2, 2016, I had a really bad incident happen. As most of you know, I do have some chronic pain illnesses that I deal with. Well, I had ended up over doing it with cleaning around the house and doing errands around town, so on Saturday evening I started to feel really strange and I have been dealing with severe dizziness over the last month and a half. So I asked my Mom to take me to the E.R. because since it was the weekend, I wouldn't have been able to see my primary care Doctor.

On the way to the hospital, I had a severe anxiety attack and I blacked out. Apparently I stopped breathing. I was rushed into the ICU and they had to resuscitate me. They monitored me for the rest of the night and when I was stable, they released me. I went to my primary Doctor on Monday morning, and she has me on strict bed rest. I can't go anywhere or do anything for quite a while. And once she gets the medical records from the hospital, she said she is going to go from there with my long-term treatment.

I'm home now and I am being well taken care of. It not only scared me but my family, even more so. I am just glad it wasn't a tragedy. I am so grateful for the help I received. I just wanted to inform you all on what happened. I will be trying to keep in touch more often. If you would like to connect on Skype, just inbox me your username and I will add you.

Take care everyone.

Jeez that is scary, I'm glad as well it didn't and in tragedy. I hope the bed rest gets you better soon because that sounds very bad.

I already know of this. So I am very happy you are doing a lot ore better. As things like that can tend to get worse and worse and would leave you in an unstable condition. Not everyone can pull through that since it could go either way. But I am glad you are doing a lot more better than before. Just make sure to rest regularly. I know you too well since you like to be up and about doing things.

Oh man, that's unfortunate! It's great that you were able to stay strong through it. Hopefully, you won't have any more episodes like that. As said by Kelly Clarkson,"What doesn't kill you makes you stronger."

I just checked your profile and I see you're 34. That is really young to be dealing with a chronic illness. That's close to my age lol so I must give you props for being tough with this.

It sounds like you have a lot of help from your family, which is really good to hear. Do you know how long you'll be on bed-rest for? Do you mind saying what they've decided to do to help you going forward?

Wow, that's terryfing, even just knowing that it hapened to someone else can freak some people out and then to actually have it happen is so much worse, but I'm glad things appear to be okay now and I hope it gets beter.

Just the idea of death scares me, it honestly is my worst fear. Sorry this is happening to you. We all have our problems, we just need to fight back and take control. Let us know of any updates when they come up. Hope to hear from you soon.

Glad your still hear with us how scary. I remember when I had a blackout once. It really scared me I thought I was having a stroke. It turned out though I had a non cancerous brain tumor that had to be removed. I don't know what your religious beliefs are but I am a Christian so I will lift you up in prayers and hop you continue to get better.

Thank you everyone for your replies. It really means the world to me to know that you all care.

Since that post, I still have been struggling with my health. I am still having severe dizzy spells and at times I feel tremendous pressure in my head. And to explain how I am going to take care of that problem, it's kind of a long story, but I'm going to try to explain it as fast as I can...

The following week after the incident, I went to go to my Psychiatrist appointment. Boy was that a major nightmare. You see, my regular Psychiatrist was on maternity leave and was supposed to return last month, well that didn't happen. Of course, now one told me until I went to see the so-called stand-in Doctor. From the first moment I walked in her office, I sense of major dread came over me. I've had this happen to me before, in the past, when I would have to go find a new Psychiatrist, if any of them were unkind or rude, I had that feeling of dread. But thinking I wasn't going to have to see her much longer, I ignored it. Big mistake!

She didn't even address any of my mental health issues, which is what I was there for. She started telling me that I needed to lose weight, how to "control" my diabetes, which I have been doing for more than a few several years now, and then tells me "It doesn't make sense to keep me on my medications." So, she wanted to take me off of the medications that are in fact working for me? And to you that doesn't make sense? WOW, really?!?

Then at the end of the visit, with a smug attitude, she shrugs and tells me that my regular Psychiatrist isn't coming back. And then looks at me, smirks and says. "Sorry."

As soon as I walk out of the office building, I burst into tears. She made me feel so degraded and worthless. That isn't how someone should leave an office visit if you're dealing with mental health issues. I told my Mom I refused to go back to that woman.

So, we enrolled me into a better health insurance program so I don't have to ever see her again. I absolutely refuse to. Once I get my confirmation letter in the mail for my enrollment, I can go see my Mom's primary care Doctor, and he is going to refer me to all of the specialists that I need.

I'm still on bed rest because of the dizziness and pressure. But it's been a rough few weeks. PHEW! That was a mouthful.
