Alright. I'm sorry to bother, but I'm a little tenacious about trying to rescue my save. I've been playing Pokémon Ruby for the past... week? Week and a half? Something like that, and it's been working great. I really have to thank you guys who've made this possible for me.

Unfortunately, however, today when I started it up, the only option I got was "New Game". Naturally, of course, I was irked and closed the Emulator to try again. Still nothing. I searched the site over, and found some FAQ's and browsed a few threads. This has all helped me find the .Sav files on my computer. So I definitely have them, and a quick scan of the VBA.ini says it knows where to look for the file, but so far I've not been able to load it.

Last night when I saved, the browser itself closed (misclick, I was attempting to minimize it,) but the Emulator was up and running for a long while before I saved and exited. Is it possible that I corrupted the file by doing so? If so, it's not a big problem. I really can just start a new one, but if there's a way to restore it, I'd love to be able to. Please and thank you for your time!



Addendum; It's not a save state, but a save game. I was aware of the Save State function, but never thought it necessary. (Guess I should start making use of it, huh? >.<)

Which emulator are you using?
There is a special fix for Mednafen.

Vanelan : I'm using VisualBoyAdvance emulator, unfortunately.

Were you playing the game as a guest by chance?
Its possible that the save might not be found if you weren't logged in while playing.

Check the directories to make sure the file is in your user folder rather than the "User-Guest" save folder.

If you do find it there, it should be as simple as just moving it to the proper directory to your User-338350VBASaves folder.

Vanelan : I was definitely logged in, but I went and double checked. It's in my user folder, along with the saves for some other GBA games I've been playing.

You also checked the user-guest folder for saves?
Or perhaps any other user- folder?
