So where i live, on the day after black friday walmart still has deals on everything including video games. I had money saved up for this day so i can buy cheap games cause unlike most teenagers i cant ask mom and dad for money i have to find work among relatives for money and i had a list of games marked down that i wanted. All the games on my list besides Dying Light were all gone so i grab that and this kid near me gets all upset because i grabbed the one and only copy for the ps4. His mother near him asks me if i could give her son the copy of the game, as politely as possible i denied the request and she got all pissy with me and called me an a**hole. It was kinda irritating someone thought i should give someone something only for the fact that they are kid and want the darn thing.

I had a feeling black Friday would bring out well...the dark side of women in a way brawling for clothes or to get games for their young children. You did the right thing. Because you were the first person to get it before the boy did. So the mother should had looked for another game for him instead of trying to get yours. To be honest I wouldn't like to be there as well things can get pretty ugly. '-'

It's kindof sad really, but I've heard this story to many times. I don't think this is anything uncommon anymore. But, like Eniitan said, you did the right thing. I guess there's nothing more to be said about it. . .

This thread made me laugh. Yup typical mom spoiling her son to have whatever he wants with little disregard to everyone else around them. I'm glad you didn't give it to the spoil brat and got it specially since you actually worked for it. Heck, if it was that important they should have been there earlier or bought it elsewhere or online. I hate people that think they deserve everything. I shopped for the first time ever during Black Friday 2 hours and a half away from where I actually live and went around 1pm and still got an Xbox Bundle that I wanted. The register lady did not want to sell it to me. She wanted my ID and I said I would get it from the car and will return she insisted that I don't leave the store until her manager approves it. After waiting for 15 minutes I left and got my ID and came back within 5 minutes the cash register "lady" made sure she went all the way back to electronics to put it there after seen me in line for 10 minutes she finally said oh hi I put it back when it was my turn to pay. So I went back and got it and pay at another register they did not need my ID at all and got me out within 3 minutes. There  were tons of Xbox Bundles left so I guess this "lady" just didn't seem to take good like of me. Some people just are sour and unpleasant for no reason at all.

No one seemed to mention this woman was getting Dying Light for a little kid.
I dunno how many of you played it, but this isn't a kids game... then again,I dunno how much she really cares if she was sitting like that to you in front of her kid.

Sorry that happened to you. I'm not sure about the specifics of the interaction, but unless you cut in line and were very rude to her son, I really don't get how she can act upset. Seems like her, and her kid need a lesson in the whole "first come first served" situation. We all miss out on things. An adult should know better than that.

Try to not take it too personally. Black Friday(especially at Walmart) always brings out the worst in people. My suggestion? Avoid Walmart during the holidays and you will be 100x better off.

Welcome to the wonderful world of Black Friday where numerous amount of people all kill each other just save a tiny bit of money for one stupid thing.

Agreeing with what Jordan said, if you were mean and rude to either the her or her child, that would be a different story, but she showed up a little late and she is setting a bad example in front of her child. Basically, children needs to learn that they can't get things their way. What kids now a days needs to do is to stop treating their parents like their (that one word), and learn to grow up.

What you did, you did the right move.

That is why most of my shopping is online shopping, to avoid stuff like that.

Sword legion : I thought the experience was funny but then i think about the possibility that "what if she was crazy" and attack me for the game lolol; its an extreme thought but it isnt impossible

Woah as soon as i made this reply there are more comments lol, i thought it was weird as one comment said that a mom was getting dying light for a little kid, and everyone is right the mom set a bad example and they should learn "first come first serve." Overall the experience was very funny especially when a man who was looking at games laughs and calls her "crazy" quietly as she was walking away, i wish she woulda heard him to cause hilarity to ensue.

I think in this case it's not so much a question of right or wrong, but what you decided to do.It was your choice and some people just can't except when peoples choices don't please them.

If I were her, first I wouldn't be buying my kid that.Second, I would have told my kid that sometimes you just can't get what you want when you want it.

Oh my...Black Friday and Cyber Monday just bring out the absolute worst in people. People do this because they are sheep. But getting back to the subject. That was life,you got there first and grabbed it. Now some might say that was a d--k move you pulled,but people have to realize is that first come,first served. I mean the mom and kid could have gone to another Wal Mart or another store to look for the game. You got there first and if the roles were reversed I would think you would let it go. I think the mother needs to realize that just because she has a kid does not mean we are going to bend over backwards to please her.

that's just the way life goes sometimes yes things like Black Friday and other sales holiday related or not go can make some people worse especially those who have self entitlement issues or in this case probably a spoiled kid that gets everything they want when they want best thing to do is just move on and not let it play on your mind so much

The mother handled it poorly and set a bad example for her son. I would not go shopping on Black Friday without a riot shield and a shotgun with salt rounds. I do not want to kill them but I want to defend myself. Like I told you,the world is first come,first serve and you claimed it before he did.

Eh, your profile says your 15? People tend to think they can walk all over you at this age. It happened to me, it happened to my friends, and it's currently going on with my brother.

It's just what happens. I could be wrong though, this lady could just be a miserable person and it could have happened to anyone potentially. You got it fairly, it's not like you ripped it out of the poor kid's hands XD.

You should try buying things online next time. This way you can avoid people like this.
