Yes, it's a very strange idea to translate fan fiction into original story for no other reason than "it doesn't fit the mood of the series," but eh, I want to do it. I have lots of fun writing, anyway. Anyways, introducing a teaser to the story that no one knew or cared about! It's not too long a read, and quite frankly, probably makes little sense on its own. I might as well state the obvious: I took many ideas present here from the Birth of Mewtwo short. If you don't know what that is, I query you to give it a look; it's available on YouTube. Not only will it help you see where I'm coming from with this story piece, but it's also a very nice short on its own, and worth the time it takes to watch. But I digress. On to the story! --- [Entry 1] So I have finally begun my plot of revenge on Alcadra, the new living quarters of the knight who had single-handedly defeated me in the first war. I have spent far too long in the shadows…and I shall not continue to do so as I watch those pathetic others go about their lives so easily! But, I have long since been unable to create anything with enough to combat the likes of that knight. His name is not one I’ll easily forget. Ailan, I remember clearly. He is a level of strength that vastly outmatched any other opposition. I was unprepared for the likes of him. And now, I am unable to properly prepare for such a force. That is, I was unable to do such a thing. But it seems I have found a power source that can rival the likes of that wretched knight. I have found a technology that even I have never seen before. It’s quite an advanced piece of tech, too. Hmph, easily more advanced than anything those weaklings have surely developed. I will continue to experiment on this technology. It is certainly great in number, so I can afford to let some of it go to waste. To think that this sort of thing existed in my proximity for so long! Stay alert, Ailan…for my return is near. [Entry 2] It has been a few days since my discovery of the mysterious technology. It seems to be able to come together and spread apart at will, although that “will” in question is weak, as it only attempts to make predetermined shapes depending on the volume of the technology stuck together. Perhaps I could attain this will and advance it for my own needs. However, this requires much more time than I initially expected. And this brings another question with it. Who was the first to work on this? It’s clear that this is abandoned technology I am witnessing. Perhaps I could find some clues if I continued to search where it was initially found… [Entry 3] Hah…I have done it. I have finally cracked the code of the will controlling this technology, whose existence I will finally give a name to. This kinetium, as I will call it, has finally been figured out. My initial thoughts were correct, though. This will is incredibly simple, and moreover, incredibly weak, much to my advantage. It’s only taken a week’s worth of time, but I am finally ready to manipulate and alter this will. Soon, this will be all under my control, and then, I can turn this into a number of powerful and unstoppable androids. If this kinetium is truly able to mold itself into anything, then I don’t even require to give these androids weapons! [Entry 4] Several weeks have passed, and I have run into problem after problem, attempting to create these androids and giving the kinetium a full will. It just keeps making itself a fixed object, no matter what I try to do to rewire that will of it. The closest I have been able to do with this is to connect it to my own will and control its shape like that. It seems…the best I can do is create a standard android with non-kinetium material and give it portions of its body which can be molded by the kinetium. That seems to be my only option; I sadly cannot create the entire android around the kinetium, so I must make compromises. Hopefully, this is one that will work. [Entry 5] The experiment was a success. Finally, I have completed not one, but two hybrid androids. Their cores are still slightly unstable, but I should be able to fix them before they become fully active in five days. At the moment, they both sit in hibernation chambers. They are project Doomer and project DeathBringer. They are already at least partially under my control. The next few days, however, will require tireless work in order to finalize their wills. I may have to even extend their subconscious states for even longer, within their hibernation chambers. [Entry 6] The cores of these two projects intrigue me. They seem to experience very human-like emotion. Anger, sadness, fear, happiness…they experience all of these emotions. These cores have not reacted well with the kinetium, obviously. It seems that even in their subconscious states, both DeathBringer and Doomer have been rather active, interacting with one another rather frequently in the past day. Judging by their activity during those interaction periods, it seems that the two have begun to grow very close to one another. I’m going to administer heavy sedatives to the both of them, and prepare to transfer them into private hibernation chambers. Their current relation with one another is already dangerous as is; it threatens the entire development of these two androids and their unstable will. [Entry 7] An unexpected emergency has just occurred, and DeathBringer’s semi-conscious body has begun to fight against the confines of the hibernation chamber. His mental state has been horribly active; it is clear this is a direct consequence of his isolation from Doomer. I knew their relationship could be dangerously close, but it seems I was late in moving them. I will increase the sedative dosage for DeathBringer by the hour if he does not cease struggling. [Entry 8] I seem to have made a fatal miscalculation. DeathBringer has grown immune to the sedatives, and has now become violent. It’s now fully conscious and is damaging the hibernation chamber. I have to abort the project, now! I have prepared the self-destruct sequence of my lab, and am ready to set it off. Project DeathBringer was a failure, and I must abort Doomer as well; it is all too likely that he, too, will rebel in similar fashion, as he is controlled by the same unstable core… However, I at least know now where I went wrong. I shall perfect this core myself, and try once again. I was able to salvage all of the unused kinetium, so I am not yet out of ammunition against Ailan. That explosion will turn both of those projects into scrap metal, however unfortunate that may be. It seems it will still be a while, even with my knowledge of what went wrong with these two projects… [END TRANSMISSION] --- Yes, I know "kinetium is the most obvious and the worst name ever. Don't tell me the obvious there. And is this cliché? Absolutely it is, what isn't? I think I should probably try to reduce it, though. I feel it's in vast excess in this little piece... This is interesting. ![]() Also the way it ended leaves me wondering where it's going next. There are several possibilities, and I'm certainly interested in seeing which one ends up being used. Will we get more back story at some point, or will that be left open? At any rate, I hope you do decide to write more! ![]() ![]() Also the way it ended leaves me wondering where it's going next. Eirinn : Well, it's a work in progress for now. I was honestly about to say it's fairly obvious what'll happen, but I forget that this is the first time I'm showing my transferred fiction to people who don't know what the initial source is. I'll probably post stuff on here, although you should expect some delay between posts, especially since I'm planning to continue writing reviews and just generally posting on here, too. Also, schoolwork sucks. :/ I was honestly about to say it's fairly obvious what'll happen, but I forget that this is the first time I'm showing my transferred fiction to people who don't know what the initial source is.
