A new netplay server that could potentially be better? That's cool, specially for the people like me who already had some trouble with it. I'm sure it won't let me play PSX yet, but probably the rest of systems, being less taxing with my computer, can work a little better than they do now.

It's good to hear we will have the services back up soon after hearing how out of your control this issue was. Keep us updated about the final server where these services will be, and take all the time you need to fix this. Remember: what doesn't kill you makes you stronger.

Question:
Does this mean the 5th generation music contest will be extended or no?

Because I'd imagine it'd be unfair for some users who couldn't get in an entry due to the CD consoles not functioning.

SuperCrash64 : No the music competition wont be extended since it needs to end before the month ends in order to squeeze in the stream and also for the results to be ready by November 1st.

Users had 18+ days to do their submissions and they'll have a few more days once this is all done and over with. N64 and Atari Jaguar games still do work so users waiting could always focus on those 2 systems.

tjtheunicorn : It basically just means that when the time comes for us to add more CD systems, we'll have the space for them. It also means that we'll have no problem adding missing games to the site for CD systems.

Hostgator got the new server up and running for me earlier today so the next phase is getting it set up and configured and also to get files transferred over which could take a while.

Of course you'll have high priority since there probably isn't anyone else actively downloading anything from that server but it should still give you an idea of how insane the speeds are. That file literally took only 5 seconds to download for me.

I'm just curious to if the streamers from here will still get their Viz that they should have earned?
Personally I still have been streaming even though I haven't been earning Viz, but I should have had enough to get the PS1 by now. Which is what I actually wanted to be streaming. I do understand that you are dealing with a lot right now, and that some things are WAY more important to fix. I'm just curious is all.

Hello I was just wondering well before I start my comment I would just like to say, all that info sounds amazing! Now on to my comment, the one part that really intrigued me was the potential for more CD systems, I was just wondering what would be some examples of said CD systems, since I know PS2, GC, and such are out of the question I am trying to think of more CD systems that are more appropriate for this category? Thank-you for any and all input from anyone and everyone.   

I'm going to download this plug in and check it out. Sick or no sick. As in I am sick and should be recovering and being in the living room isn't the best thing since its cold there. I am always stubborn so its best to get it out if the way with. >.>

Hold on, by "faster netplay server", do you mean "able to play N64 games?" If so, Great!

Lycan212 : It could include Pioneer LaserActive, Amiga CD, 3DO, Neo Geo CD, Atari Jaguar CD and a few others. It also includes missing CD games for systems we already have.

Eniitan : The 2.40 RGR Plugin isn't really new anymore since that came out a few weeks ago. It's also not a mandatory upgrade but feel free to get it if you haven't already

BestGamer24 : Yeap, some PlayStation games are slowly becoming available. Actually as of this post, the majority of PlayStation games are now working again.

ahkarate : I meant that for the other netplay systems but there is a very small possibility that N64 netplay could work just a tad better because of this. No guarantees though.
