TheTrueUlti : I like older cartoons. They are just so interesting to me. My favorites are probably The Jetsons, The Flintstones, and the original scooby doo.

I love retro cartoons. I was extremely disappointed to hear Vizzed used to have a retro toon room and I never got to see it for myself. Things like Tom and Jerry, Looney Tunes, and Gargoyles are among some of my favorites from the past. Oh, the nostalgia XD

How is it that I have not posted in this thread before? Yes I do because I was part of the era with that by being born. I often think of the oldies I used to watch back when tv was so much fun. It really was. I like how you can cherish these types of memories even though most of us are sad that they don't really always appear on tv or non at all. Then we try and find where we can watch them online. So that we get to watch them again. There is a site where most of us go to watch it and seems to be available for.

Do I like Tom &  Jerry,  have I watched practically every episode of it? Yes I have.

What I have not done is watch the movies, I only watched the ones from before 2010.

I loved Scooby Doo also when I was a kid, but I don't call myself a fan.

I was never a fan of the Flintstones or The Jetsons. I saw them, and I could see the appeal to them, but they weren't really my thing. Or Yogi Bear and what not.

I never liked Tom and Jerry for the sole reason that I thought Jerry was a jerk and Tom was really unlucky, and I always felt bad for the guy.

I always loved Scooby Doo though. It was funny, it was colorful and the characters were cool, and it always presented a mystery that needed to be solved, and i thought that was really good.

I know I'm not that old, but I did use to watch a lot of these old cartoons growing up. I guess I was just the wrong demographic for some of them. Others I did really like, though. And I still love cartoons now

I watched alot of older cartoons when I was a kid, alot o that was the Smurfs, which was great. I loved watching all the little blue people run around and do stuff, occasionally running from Gargamel, who always gave me such great laughs when I was younger. And his cat was pretty hilarious as well.

The Flintstones was my next favorite. I loved the whole concept, from using dinosaurs as machines to birds as can openers. The entire series was just so well done, especially with Barney and Fred's interactions. I used to wake up at seven o' clock every morning, sit down in front of the television, and watch the Flintstones on demand with time warner until my dad woke up. Sometimes he'd watch it with me, since it was his favorite show as a kid, too.

I never really go too into Scooby Doo, I liked it, but I didn't love it as compared to the others. I'd probably say that my third favorite was Tom and Jerry, just because Tom always got beat up.

And then, finally, there's the Jetsons. I didn't like it as much as the other two, but I thought it was pretty funny to see the future version of pretty much everything.

My absolute favorite though, was Looney Toons. Not the new one, but the old one, with one voice actor for every one of those characters. I liked Sylvester and Tweetie Bird far more than I did Tom and Jerry, and the same goes for Wily Coyote and the Roadrunner. I always loved Yosemite Sam, especially when Bugs replied oh-so casually to him, as well as Elmer Fudd. ("Shhhh, I'm hunting wabbits!") And then when Yosemite Sam was the cook and trying to get Bugs because the king wanted "hossum feffer," or rabbit stew, that was my favorite episode, I think. And then Daffy and the Abominable snowman thinking that he was Bugs. Such great memories.

Hell yes. That was back when they had fun with it,people actually had a brain, and knew it was just harmless fun. Like Tom and Jerry. They would beat the snot out of each other,be wounded, and the next scene they are fine. It was no holds barred with them. They would use firecrackers, shotguns, large blunt objects, poison, and various improvised traps and no one complained about it. Hell, cartoons in the 30s-50s were downright offensive, using stereotypes and racial epitaphs, but again, people could actually think for themselves and knew it was a freaking cartoon.

I effectively adore the very old cartoons. The characters can be charming, there can be little to no dialogue, and the Animation can be very impressive. One of my favorites among the very old cartoons is the Donald Duck shorts. I can't help but feel sorry for what he has been going through all these decades.

I love old cartoons and have ever since I was young. Though I've watched my fair share of Scooby Doo, The Flintstones etc my favorites are definitely the shorts. Back then was truly the golden age of slapstick. It can also be pretty witty at times and gives somewhat of a view into society and its ideals. Though there's the obvious examples like Donald Duck (my personal favorite character), bugs bunny and the like. Some that really stand out to me though are old goofy cartoons. I think nostalgia critic made a point about this and I have to agree, that the old goofy cartoons were great. Most people just know him because of his goofy (no pun intended) and well meaning personality that often made him great for pure slapstick. Truth is a lot of the old goofy cartoons were quite dark in nature, being more satire of society at the time with Goofy being used more as an everyday men. It often seemed targeted more at adults than it did children even if they could still enjoy the slapstick.

I also like some tex avery cartoons. Not a lot of people seem to know about them since they ended up in the shadow of the more famous looney tunes or disney cartoons, but in my opinion they often rival those in terms of humor. They can be a bit hard to find these days though.

One of my favorite things about retro cartoons is it was before the days of over-zealous censorship. Back in the time where you might actually see someone smoking in a kids' cartoon, or there would be a bottle of liquor labeled "XXX" and the character would get sick when tricked in to drinking it lol.

I'm not saying kids "should" see those things, but at the same time it's not exactly a good thing for them to be overly sheltered. At least from my own experience it didn't turn out well.

If I had Boomerang ( the retro cartoon channel ), I would definitely watch it a lot, but I'm stuck with Cartoon Network and a lot of the garbage like Clarence they put out now : /

Sure enough I like old cartoons. Animaniacs has a lot of good humor and Goofy's own cartoon seemed pretty weird considering a kid bombed a school. I also like Felix the Cat, particularly his first work in Feline Follies in 1919. He committed suicide in that actually.

I really enjoy a lot of the older cartoons mainly because I grew up on them. Then as I got older I kept in the habit of watching cartoons and used to watch re-runs of He-Man, She-Ra, Bravestarr and Ghostbusters when they aired on... I think Qubo? Mingled in with the not-so-old but older cartoons like 87' TMNT, 90's X-Men, and of course Looney Tunes, Flintstones, Jetsons, Scooby-Doo, Tom and Jerry, mentioned around, I still find myself enjoying these kinds of cartoons when I run into them or actively seek them out.

I'm not a huge fan of a lot of them, but I do enjoy watching some of them, most notably Tom & Jerry. I think I remember this one racing type of cartoon that I always enjoyed watching, but I can't remember the name of it.

Lexatom : I think I know what you're talking about. Are you talking about the one that included Dick Dastardly and Muttley, Penelope Pitstop, and all those characters in different vehicles? I think it was called Wacky Racers or something, if that's the one you're talking about.

Vizzed.com is very expensive to keep alive! The Ads pay for the servers.

Vizzed has 3 TB worth of games and 1 TB worth of music.  This site is free to use but the ads barely pay for the monthly server fees.  If too many more people use ad block, the site cannot survive.

We prioritize the community over the site profits.  This is why we avoid using annoying (but high paying) ads like most other sites which include popups, obnoxious sounds and animations, malware, and other forms of intrusiveness.  We'll do our part to never resort to these types of ads, please do your part by helping support this site by adding Vizzed.com to your ad blocking whitelist.
