Please do not just post a random response for TdV post count. I am really looking for constructive comments - Thanks in advance. So, I've been doing small scale videos like Vizzed Retro Game Reviews, VLOGs, and stuff like that... but today I believe I may have just taken it to the next level. I have been planning on doing a daily gaming news series for YouTube, and I wanted to share my first video with Vizzed to get some criticism, pointers, etc. I will still be doing articles on Vizzed, because I really enjoy doing so. This has been a goal of mine since High School to start a YouTube channel that's actually worth watching. So without anymore words - please watch and give any feedback, advice, etc. Thank you! That's easily the best video that I have ever seen by a member. Love the background, heck, love the clothing. It's a shame you only have 200 something subs because it looks like you are great with editing and can use that to make really awesome videos, especially those that resemble something like a news video. Pretty good man. I subbed your channel---you didn't even have to bribe me. One small criticism- try to stand still. I'm sure it's nerves probably. I never had the guts to show my face on my cruddy channel. lol |

Ferdinand : Thanks, just from that line alone I can tell you actually checked me out (which I'm very thankful for). My sisters, best friend, and even my mom told me to stop moving as much. So, after everyone and my mother told me to stop, I think it's a good idea to stop moving haha! I think it is nerves - so hopefully it goes away (I'm still learning to star into the camera lol). Not a big fan of this kind of videos, but since a good guy is asking for advice, I'll set my personal tastes aside for once. First of all, let me say this the way it has to be done: YOU'RE HANDSOME Besides that, since I'm not well versed in speaking English, I will skip the dialogues. As Ferdinand said, there's a lot you can change about yourself. If you're having trouble standing still for being so nervous (I know that feeling more than what the Health Association determines dangerous), why don't you try to sit down? Look at yourself, with that suit and beard, you could almost use a throne. I must say I'm someone who likes natural videos instead of pre-recorded ones, and the fact you move so much means you recorded this in a single go. Not many people will agree with this, but at least, if you move that much in a (rotating) chair it looks better overall. I also like the many gestures you make to emphasize what you're saying, I'm studying Journalism and we are encouraged, practically obliged to make such gestures, so you're on the right path. Last, but not least: dat background. No random walls from a random room, no open air environments, no simple blank backgrounds... You have a ton of potential. Easily above the average first-timer everyone can think about. Very good job, and keep it up! EX Palen : This is it, this is all I ever wanted to hear in my life. "You could almost use a throne." I'm calling all of my family members to tell them it has finally been said by someone other than myself! Haha, yeah. My temporary solution is to actually put duct tape on the floor in the shape of a box. If I step out of the box, I have to stop recording and re-do the segment. I feel like it's the only way I can really force myself to want to stay still (it's hard punishing yourself). It's awesome you're studying journalism! I really wish I could learn it, I love that kind of work. Anyways, thanks a lot for the feedback. *Tries hardest not to let the handsome statement to get to my head* This is it, this is all I ever wanted to hear in my life. "You could almost use a throne." Yuna1000 : Great points all around! I did take into consideration everything you said (except the filler thing, I never got that feedback yet, so I'll have to work on that). The three points that I am currently on a correction course are: 1. No movement. My movement in virtually every video after my first is way, way less. Being it was the most prominent feedback from Vizzed, family, and YouTube itself - It was the obvious first place to start. 2. Word flow. I realize that there is a reason YouTubers edit their talks to make an artificially "good" sounding scr 3. I'm not an actor, and won't pretend to be. I can edit to my hearts content, but I just personally don't think rehearsing is what I should do. People know pretty easily when someone is saying something "perfectly." The YouTubers I watch are very obviously winging it. Now, I know they have 1,000's of hours of experience - and that's obviously helped them get very good. I'll just keep working on it though, because I really don't want to sound like a robot (even if it sounds more professional, I'd rather be relate-able). I'll be working on more stuff as I go along, but I am going to prioritize the things that most annoyed the most people. First video was the main one to draw negative feedback (10+ complaints on first video versus 1 complaint (Green screen related) for all post-released content combined), so I'm hoping this means I'm actually making progress. I guess the main thing I'm really having to learn is the balance of the main point, my opinion, and miscellaneous thoughts. To make a conversation feel personal, I really have to make sure what I say makes sense, and I have to make sure I can give relatable examples to my target audience (Ages 18-27). I did realize my opinion has to be much more effective, and can never be "no opinion" again. It just sounded stupid, to be honest. I'm not sure why I thought it was okay, but I digress. I will always have an opinion, because everyone always has an opinion about everything haha! Thank you for the feedback, I am listening to all of the feedback I receive. I am working on the points I mentioned above; time will tell where it will go. Great points all around!
