One of the coolest things announced to this point was that Bethesda plans to allow users to use mods on consoles! It was originally announced at the Xbox conference, but was later confirmed to also be coming for the PlayStation 4 as well. Personally, I don't know how well it will work with the consoles. A lot of PC mods can be so intense, that even high end rigs like mine will actually begin to drop in frames - or not launch altogether. If a high end PC can stutter, it makes me wonder what type of limitations the console will have.
It's Bethesda though, so I'll go ahead and give them the benefit of the doubt that they figure it out and make it work great.
There is DLC on the way, but luckily the season pass isn't set at an insane price. The price is set at a cool $30 USD. The season pass is set to give players access to all add-ons released in the future!
Maybe this means that we won't have to pay for beautiful dog armor modeled after the uber successful horse armor. It's said that content will be released about at the same rate as The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.
The game play will focus largely in the same area's that Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas focused on. This includes the ever popular pip boy, the V.A.T.S. (an assisted aiming device that's pretty awesome), and other similar features. One of the new and impressive features shown was the ability to construct a base - or multiple bases! You'll be able to salvage junk material throughout your journey, and create a network of bases that can commit trade and be raided! You'll be in charge of security, and really everything else that comes with building your own outpost!
For those of us who love leveling, and hate the level cap, this ones for us: There is going to be no level cap! Yeah, you read that right.
They probably figured that people would just use a mod to remove the cap anyways, so why not save modders the trouble!? Another great thing they are adding is dynamic outcomes based on what you do. Your decisions will apparently have ability to have "catastrophic" consequences. With tension building events scattered throughout the world, this game is sure to quench your thirst for an amazing game!
That's really all I wanted to cover on Fallout 4. Below I will have the released specs listed for those interested. Thanks for reading Vizzed, and feel free to add anything I missed!
They announced recently that the specs will be:
RequiredWindows 7/8/10 (64-bit OS required)
Intel Core i5-2300 2.8 GHz/AMD Phenom II X4 945 3.0 GHz or equivalent
8 GB RAM
30 GB free HDD space
NVIDIA GTX 550 Ti 2GB/AMD Radeon HD 7870 2GB or equivalent
RecommendedWindows 7/8/10 (64-bit OS required)
Intel Core i7 4790 3.6 GHz/AMD FX-9590 4.7 GHz or equivalent
8 GB RAM
30 GB free HDD space
NVIDIA GTX 780 3GB/AMD Radeon R9 290X 4GB or equivalent
Looks like it'll need a bit of horsepower to run the game, and I take that as a good thing for us PC gamers!
