See, I never actually caught Celebi.

Well, I did, but it was pretty unethical. The only way I was ever able to obtain Celebi was through an Action Replay my sister had. I honestly had no idea that you could even legitimately catch celebi, other than in Pokemon Colosseum for the Gamecube.

Sorry to say ftrajo, but wherever you got your information, needs to double check itself, and if they insist, then you need a new source. Celebi can only be gotten through events, there is no way to catch it in game. So I suggest using pokemondb.net, bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net, or serebii.net.
