Hello, I am TheAurexalias or Ronnie, if you'd rather and I figured it was time for me to attempt my Introduction.  I apologize up front if I have done something incorrectly or untoward as I am not used to posting on any type of board or forum.

     Now to the business at hand,  I am 40 years old and have been playing video games pretty much all of my life.  I actually owned many of the nes and super nes games I like to play here, once upon a time.  I was introduced to the site by my daughter who is an avid Zelda and Pokémon fan.  I love to play many different types of games but come here mainly for my love of old school, turn-based, war simulation and strategy games.  I especially love the Koei Historical Simulation Series, the various Romance of the Three Kingdom games being my favorite.  I hope to find others who enjoy these same types of games to perhaps play together sometime.  Though I am a bit of a loner and love playing them by myself,  I find challenging the computer opponent has grown a bit stale after nearly 25 years of playing it.

     Anyone who also enjoys this genre or really, any other, please message me, I would love to hear from you and am in sore need of friends and good conversation, as I am disabled and rarely get to leave my home.  I hope to hear from someone soon and want to thank the site itself for  allowing me to relive some of my favorite gaming memories.

You didn't do anything wrong at all. You made a great first post, instead my first post was terrible. It's really awesome to hear that you still play video games! Most of the old school games are available here, playing together is also possible for certain games. I am sure you'll be able to enjoy yourself.

I am sure you'll be able to make great friends here as well. There is a user I know who's disabled too, now the user is one of the most popular people here.

You've done nothing incorrectly. In fact, you made an elaborated presentation, and that's always a good point.

You're quite the old school player, aren't you? Well, if you want to play some old school games together with people, you can visit the netplay lobby, there you can create sessions to play online with more players with the NES, SNES, Turbo Grafx, PSX and N64 (I think those are all of the available systems, but I could be wrong).

Sad to hear you're disabled. However, we have many people here dealing with hard issues. I know about deaf users, a couple that were diagnosed leukemia, and then there's me with a chronic disease for nearly six years now. 

Here we are all gamers, that's the most important thing. If you roam the board, you will find a ton of forums to post in, and for sure be able to make some friends.

I'm a little late to the party, but hello Ronnie. It's great to see that you decided to introduce yourself to us.

I love turn based strategy games, and have played a few of the old KOEI games from back in the day as well (so glad to see them somewhat revitalizing their Strategy titles in the West again). I've never played any of the Romance of the three kingdoms games really, however I'm interested in them now that I hear some more about them.

As for making friends, you'll find tons of people to talk to and game with around the forums. Just post around a bit and you'll soon make some good friends. And hey, maybe we can even talk some, I'm always up for making friends.

TheAurexalias : Hi Ronnie. Its a pleasure to meet you! My best friend tornado pmed me and linked this thread. I guess she wanted me to say something. I...I am also mentally disabled on this site and probably one of the most known users as well. You are not alone as the others say. There are some or most amount of people here that are mentally disabled. Also I have formed a group with some. If you want you can also talk to them if that makes you feel comfortable and happy. Knowing that you are not alone. Also no need to say sorry. You have made a great introduction of yourself. If anyone better my introduction wasn't as good because my grammar still lacked then. But I grew and got better at it, and as you can see now. I am able to type better with the help of my friends. ^^
 

I also do stay at home most of my days because I can't go out. So I really do know how you feel. Also I hope this isn't an odd question to ask. I would like to know the names of your conditions and such. I hope that you don't mind that? I hope to get to know you more.
