My favorite fight in any of the Dragonball series is Goku vs Frieza because that was the first time we got to see what a super saiyan is capable of. It was amazing to see how the almighty Frieza got the crap beaten out of the one thing he feared most. I especially love the part where Goku says " I'm gonna slap some sense into you" and he mercilessly slaps the crap out of Frieza. That was one of the funniest moments in the whole series.

It's hard for me to pick just one, so I'll pick one for each spin-off.

For Dragon Ball, my favorite was near the end of the series, with Goku facing off against Piccolo Junior in the World Tournament. We see Piccolo growing to giant proportions, Goku firing a Kamehameha with his feet, the whole arena destroyed, and the fight still went on. Back in the time, it was absolutely awesome, and such variety has yet to be seen in more battles.

For Z, it's obviously Vegito versus Super Buu. Not only because he toyed with the pink monster in any possible way and beyond, but because he still did the same while being turned into a candy. That was overly funny, and while it lacked the epicness of Goku versus Frieza, it was nonetheless an awesome fight. Super Saiyan 2 Gohan obliterating Cell and his kind comes in a close second place, though, he barely used anything else than punches or kicks to defeat opponents that felt like invincible.

For GT, we also had a funny moment with SSJ4 Gogeta and Omega Shenron, but if there was a good fight in that series, it should be Baby versus Super Saiyan 4 Goku. Technically, they wanted to rekindle the epicness of the first Super Saiyan transformation, and well, it was a fairly good try. Overall, all GT villains weren't stronger than your average DBZ villain, so no really good fights here.

I would also add Broly versus everyone in the movie he debuted, but it's not from the anime. Still an awesome fight, and it was also the birth of the only villain capable of shadowing Frieza's popularity.

It would have to be the Majin Buu fight. What made that fight so good is that Hercule aka Mr. Satan actually was a big help. Taking credit for beating Cell proved to be his biggest strength in the long run. Even though he was not as much a big shot as the others, he showed the world how much the voice can be as mighty as the fist. They say sticks and stones will break bones but words will never hurt. Words do make a difference in a fight and it worked on Majin Buu by getting him to stop killing people. His words proved super effective against Kid Buu with him getting the crowd to feed Goku their energy to defeat Kid Buu. Even Piccolo had to give him credit for the latter.

I really liked the Cell fight if I can be truly honest.. Mainly because it focused on development of other characters, mainly gohan.. But it really struck a chord with me because it wasn't simply about Goku, all the other characters played a part.. 

It may just be me but I find animes boring when it's literally the same character every time that wins... and well this fight changed that cycle that's for sure X3

It also began the legacy that is Hercule.. x3

I'll throw a different one out here: Cell vs 16, because 16 finally shows himself to be gero's most powerful creation (every other android at base level, including cell) and that he was having a change of heart about his core programming. Of course if we didn't have anime stupid come in, he would've easily allowed for 17 and 18 to escape and then Vegeta and Trunks would show up, and I don't think anything Cell could do would stop Trunks and 16 from obliterating him even if Vegeta tried to help.

Well, my favorite character is Krillin, so I like all the moments where he shines. I love that episode where everyone's looking for Cell, and Krillin find him, and helps that girl and that little kid. Even though he's not really a match for Cell, he still gets the drop on him with that Solar Flare.

   Same thing with Frieza, he's really good at saving that Solar Flare, when the enemy has seen Krilin's power level, and then they consider him to be useless. He busts that out and saves people. And Frieza's reaction to Krillin cutting his tail. XD

   Also, in the Garlic Jr. Saga, where Krillin has been getting beat the entire time, and he's laying on the ground, and Piccolo thinks it's hopeless. Krillin reveals that he's actually been saving his energy, and can try to stall Garlic Jr. for Piccolo to do something. Then he suddenly jumps up and starts smacking Garlic Jr. around. And I love that energy attack from above that sends Garlic Jr. smashing through the ground. XD

   I just love how, despite how cowardly Krillin acts, he can still pull off some amazing things to protect his friends. That's why he's my favorite.

   He does tend to have more shining moments in the movies though. My favorite being when he saves Gohan in the 2nd Broly movie. Cooler's Return too, he was one-hit killing those Cooler clones.

It would have to be goku's battle against Frieza on the dying planet namek. But It took quite a number of episodes...

My personal favorites are either Gohan versus Cell or Goku vs Vegeta during the Buu saga.


I love the Gohan versus Cell fight because of the emotion that went with it. The struggle to get Gohan to finally transform and save the day. The sadness when Goku dies. Vegeta's rage when Trunks is nearly killed and then the emotion of the final battle where Gohan tries to overcome his inadequacies compared to his father and finally step up and win.


The Goku versus Vegeta fight is just epic because while in SS2 they are pretty evenly matched the entire time. Vegeta's speech near the end of the fight is also good too. Obviously Goku could have ended it with SS3 if he wanted but even Goku wanted to test his SS2 against Vegeta to see who was better. Totally awesome.
