The next installment of the Skylanders series, Skylanders Superchargers, will be hitting stores on September 20th, 2015. By the time this game comes out, it will have been less than a year since Skylanders Trap Team came out on October 2nd, 2014.

What's new about Skylanders Superchargers? 

The main thing about the new game, is the fact that new vehicles have been released! Activision says that they will release a full 20 new vehicles of Air, land, and Water so you can use them anywhere. These vehicles add a new aspect to the game, that will allow you to play in a whole new way! 

Remeber when the Skylanders figures cost $9 for a figure? Well, that has changed. A new Skylanders Superchargers figure will set you back $13, while a vehicle will set you back $15. This game also starts out at $75 for the starter pack, which includes the game, a portal, 2 characters, and 1 vehicle. Activision is set to release 20 new characters with these new vehicles, which will cause you to buy 18 characters and 19 vehicles. These characters and vehicles alone will set you back a full $519 dollars, and with the starter pack, will cost you $594, not to mention tax or anything else they come out with later.

Skylanders Superchargers will be available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Wii U and the iPad starting on September 20th. 

Who's excited? 

Well, this takes the cake for most expensive game ever. :V I don't like how they keep making these every year. Still gotta buy all the new ones, still gotta buy the new gimmick. But my brothers love this series. I personally don't care for it. The stories are some of the weakest I've seen.

Gotta admit though, vehicles are a smart idea. The levels are just so long. And the characters, they're ALL just so...slow. ;~;

EDIT: The best thing about this series is that it has the voice actor who played Kronk in Emperor's New Groove.

That's... really... pricey O.O. I don't know (barley) anything about the series, but the prices make it seem like it's just looking to be a cash-grab. No offense to anyone who likes the series, that's just how I view it.

But the vehicles sound interesting. Wonder what people will think of them.

That's just insane. To fully unlock the game it'll cost you nearly double what the Wii U costs. This is ridiculous. Shame too, because the series has potential; if the devs would just stop milking us, I'd look into trying it out.

Eirinn : Yeah, I seriously enjoyed the first game, spyro's adventure, but then I just didn't have enough money to buy the new characters and everything. All of the 5 games combined cost THOUSANDS of dollars. I just don't have that much money. The idea is a good one, but for them to try to make the game affordable is a challenge. I really hope they find a way, because the games are pretty fun, but money is a serious issue.
