I would love to apply for the role of game tester. I am aware that to apply you should be a trusted member and I am not. However, I have been a member of this site for just over 4 years now and I put my lack of trustship down to the fact that I barely go on the forums as I spend most of my time within the retro game room, so I haven't really given myself the chance to earn any trust points. If you are still kind enough to consider me for the position, I would be more than happy to be put on a position as a trial in order to gain your confidence and trust.

I think that I would be a good game tester for this site as I love to play the games that are available to me here, especially the pokemon games. Every time I go on my laptop, the first thing I make sure to do is to go onto the RGR and check to see if there are any new pokemon games up and I have probably played most of the full pokemon games, as well as a lot of the betas. Although I am particularly into playing pokemon games, if I were to get a position of game tester, I would be more than happy to test any games needed. I also have a lot of free time come the summer to test out any games and will be free from around the start of July.

I hope that the fact I am not a trusted member hasn't put you off and I would be thrilled if I was even considered as an applicant. If any more information is needed, let me know and I'd be more than happy to help.

I'm just gonna go ahead and say something here.

To all applicants, you must be 13 years old. I've done some research and I believe that there are legal issues with hiring people who are under the age of 13.

If your ban is under certain circumstances where it might be a little bit ridiculous that you aren't being considered (i.e not being banned for 360 days when the requirement is a full year) then I suggest you should apply as there is a chance that you might still be considered. To those who have been banned for some really terrible things they did, then you probably won't be considered, but there's always a possibility.

If a role states that you should be a Trusted Member, then please, be a trusted member. There's no point in applying for a position you don't qualify for, even if you consider those requirements to be a bit extreme or otherwise pointless. In short, the applications mean what they say, there will most likely not be any bending of the requirements.

That being said, I look forward to all applications and hope that you do get promoted.

I'd love to be a review writer. I love expressing my thoughts through words, and I find reviewing games to be fun. Here's a couple reasons you should consider me:
1. I've been on the website and have been a trusted member for over two years
2. My reviews are almost all grammar-free, and I use good word choice to describe and critique the game of all of it's aspects. (Except for my earlier reviews, but I was about 12 when I wrote those)
3. I have a good amount of experience in writing, from school, vizzed reviews, and more. I'm a straight A student in my English Honors class.

My earliest reviews had much lower quality than my latest reviews, but the ones I recently did and the ones I am planning are much better. I will definitely be more active in my reviews if I get the position, which will also help improve my writing skills. I hope you will consider me for this position.

I'd also like to be a be a Price Guide Manager. I don't believe anybody has applied for that position yet, or at least in the second wave. I'm not sure what else to say to apply for this, really. I'm good with pricing. I'm also pretty skilled with math, if that helps. I'm 14, I've been trusted for about a year and a half, i believe, and I'm definitely willing to put in 10+ hours a week on vizzed if I get the position. Plus, this position actually does look really fun and interesting. I'm surprised at the lack of people applying for it. Anyways, please consider me!

I was one of the members of this community who was banned within the last year (Check?) and it was my first ban in 4 years (Check?) of activity on this website and community. I would understand why some people wouldn't be accepted into a staffing position if they were banned a lot and for serious matters but being banned one time shouldn't determine the value a member could bring to the positions they apply for.

Trust, on the other hand, is a popularity contest. Whoever posts a lot, whoever spends hours in chat rooms, whoever people like the most will always improve their popularity.

What does being banned or having acquired a Trusted position mean to a staffing position? Popularity doesn't improve the quality of your work and having already been banned, you were already punished. Neither of these 2 requirements should determine whether or not you'd make a good addition to the staff list. If I were in David's shoes, I'd try to focus less on whether or not users like the applicants and more on whether or not it's worth it. I know many members will get turned down, but is it for the right reasons? I don't think so.

Fireproof : I'd just like to say that the reason for your ban and how serious it was, no matter if you believe that your ban was unjustified or ludicrous, also comes into play. If you were banned for spam, then sure, maybe your justified in trying for a staff position. But if you did something serious, such as post porn or some other serious offense, You'd best not try your luck.

Fireproof : You are under the assumption that popularity is the only thing that has to do with becoming a Trusted Member. Throwing that out the window...

Generally, popularity lets people know how people actually are. Once they realize how they are, they'll decide from there if they are trustworthy or not. People aren't going to trust you if they don't know who you are.. Yes, popularity does have an influence on the Trust Point System. However that influence isn't "I like you, here's a trust point". The community will only consider those who are fairly active and on-the-radar, because that's kinda how communities work.

Anyone can qualify for any of these positions, and show proof for it. But people who are a newbie and/or haven't been around a long time, or have been banned and say "I won't do it again, I learned my lesson", there's no way to be sure that they won't be a complete failure, or worse.

The trust point system exists to show that they are trustworthy. No matter how you perceive it to be, it is what it is.

And, frankly, you're quite popular in the community. Everyone knows who you are. The only reason I can assume as to why you aren't trusted, is simply that you have done untrustworthy things...

The quality of the work that the members submit might be very good, however there are some that will not be considered due to the fact that they don't represent a very good image that reflects upon those who come to this site. The staff need to be role models.

There are many members that have really good quality content, but they aren't being considered because of the sole fact that they aren't a very good person, and have a bad history.

You have to be a prime example of what staff members should be. It isn't all about the content, it also has to do with being a good citizen of Vizzed. Which is why the ban thing exists, and why the Trust thing exists. They're both to ensure that the applicant will lead a good example and stay out of trouble.

If you need a screenshot adder, or a video adder, I'm down. The only reason I'll apply for video adding is because I have experience with videos, as I have a youtube channel, and I have google adsense, I also having a good gaming laptop for gaming/recording, (alienware 17). If that role is taken I'll gladly do screenshot adder. I would do Game testing as I said I have a great computer for games, however I'm not trusted member. But I've been here for quite some time and would love to actually be apart of the community. 

Hi! I would like to apply for the positions of Screenshot Adder (preferred) and Game Tester.

Prerequisites/Qualifications:

- I am a Trusted Member.
- I am well over 13 years old.
- I have never been banned from Vizzed.
- I can dedicate 5 to 10 hours per week to Vizzed fairly easily with my schedule.

Screenshot Adder:

- My spelling, grammar and vocabulary should be sufficient for filling in the appropriate descriptions for every screenshot.

- In addition to English, I understand a few other languages, which allows me to create detailed descriptions when uploading screenshots for some games that may not have English translations yet.

(Example): Nobunaga no Yabou - Bushou Fuunroku

(Example): Xin Qi Gai Wang Zi

- In less than a year, I have accumulated a total of over 4,500 screenshots, half for a screenshot competition and half out of interest and love for games and pictures in general. In real life, I tend to categorize, sort, and organize all my screenshots before I upload or show them to anyone. My love for photos/pictures and uploading only what I consider to be the best possible variations of each extends to Vizzed screenshots as well. I have a history of taking a minimum of 2,000 unique screenshots each month for every game I play, and a simple term to describe me would probably be “Special Items Hunter/Collector.” Although I enjoy the challenges of finding glitches and lost/ hidden worlds as well, I will probably always prioritize the acquisition of fun and interesting screenshots and the recording of special moments.

Thus, the second position I would like to apply for is Game Tester.

Game Tester:

- Every time I take screenshots, I also test games for their functionality and replay value. Consequently, in the course of expanding my screenshot collections, I have also been testing a fair number of games in the Game Rooms; therefore, I feel that the position of Game Tester could be another suitable role for me.

- When selecting games and settling down to take screenshots, I sometimes find games in the Game Rooms that don’t work even after testing various settings. To determine whether or not a game is actually working in the Game Room, I often invest some time to conduct a few tests and frequently discover that rather than being broken, some games just have confusing loading procedures. Here is an example of a functional game that just has specific settings that regularly interfere with the user's ability to continue loading the game:

For this game, (if one is using the RGR Plugin to play) one loads the game by pressing the space bar. Then, the player's name must be selected before pressing the play button for the entire game to load. Since every system implements different loading procedures, I have now learned how to make numerous games work on their respective systems.

- Finally, I am not overly selective when it comes to the games I play/test. I understand many of the older games are gems and as such should be appreciated just as much, if not more so, than some of the recent releases. Thus, I’ve even played/tested some games that one might not necessarily be inclined to try due to the extensive variety of games on the market nowadays.

Contributing to the Vizzed Community has been one of my top goals since I first joined Vizzed, so I would greatly appreciate any opportunities to assist with Vizzed’s expansion. It would truly be an honor if I could work with the Vizzed staff as a Screenshot Adder or a Game Tester and if I am chosen, I can begin working immediately. You're confused as is many of the other members of this community and the entire basis as to why this system fails. Within the last week I created 3 total posts (excluding this new post). Before I made any posts I had 0 Trust Points. My first post, also my Staffing Application, I earned 2 Trust. My second post, my second staffing application, I earned dislikes. My last post, also my response to you, I lost 3 Trust Points. In my last 3 posts, what did I do to become less trustworthy than before?

The basis for why this system fails is based on popularity. If you do something a user likes, they vote you up but if you say or do something they dislike, they'll vote you down. For what reasons did I earn trust by posting my first staffing application? And for what reasons did I lose trust by submitting a response to you about the trust system? It's on the fact that I expressed my opinion that my untrustworthiness meter went down, which is the only logical possibility (Or someone just dislikes me). It's an inaccurate representation of who that player is, what they stand for and whether or not they're a good person "trustworthy".

You said I'm popular and everyone knows me, which I hope isn't true, but I don't understand how everyone can know me when I rarely talk to anyone. I've had over 500 posts, spent a few hours on Chat Room and sat in the shadows for years picking away at the community's logic on the trust system. I've never posted porn, intentionally Flamed members or anything too extraordinary. "Written Rules of Vizzed" by Light Knight was where I was banned, lost Elite Status and drop kicked to having no Trust because I went off on EideticMemory. Everyone decided to "punish" me by reducing my trust (only logical assumption). I was banned because I had disagreed with staff in a topic that was a discussion and expressed opinions.

I have a problem with this system. We belittle the trust system when users enter this community earning Trust based on friendships and because they know everyone but when the Trust System is applied toward honest, helpful and hard working people who truly deserve "Trust", it's next to impossible for some of us under circumstances where you don't want to socialize with all the unique personalities that call Vizzed home. I read enough posts to understand how this works.

Also, it doesn't make sense that I'm popular. I've never seen anyone state they're my fan or they like me or stand by me. I could be termed "Infamous"? Idk.

Being staff isn't about being a "prime example" of what a role model member should be, it's also about standing up and improving Vizzed in areas of Vizzed where it needs improvements, like Tech Support and a bad Trust System. I have earned administrator rights to other communities and websites while being the same person without having to replace my heart and soul with machinery. This isn't a paid job, you're not making a livable wage. It's voluntary. It shouldn't be treated like an application for a 6 digit salary, which is the vibe I get.

All in all, my point is Trust IS popularity. Tell me 2 things you can learn about me by ONLY looking at my trust points.

How strange... There was more than twice the users applying last wave than now. I know we did hire some of them, but still, I can't help but feel people is losing hope. Hope is never lost, there's this wave and one more coming, so anyone can have a chance of being chosen.

Keep applying, it's also one more sign of how dedicated to the site you are. Don't fear becoming a nuisance, unless you're specifically told to not apply, you can apply as many times as you want.

Just out of curiosity, how many days are left for this wave of apps? Sorry for the repeated non-commitals.

Davideo7 : I wanna be a Game Tester because I used to be active all the time and now i'm just getting back into the swing of things with being active and noticed there new games being added seems like weekly nowadays. And with it being summer break I can check up on the site mostly every day of the week for about 4 hours if need be a day.  Thanks for reviewing me and hope to be a staff member on this grand website it has become. P.S. I've been on here since like it was just starting out so that gives me a fair advantage to know how long this site has been up.

I'd like to apply for the Video Game Character Manager because I've submitted many screenshots for Vizzed, most of which have had characters in them. In the Video Game Room competition, I had just over 3000 screeenshots submitted, as well as the fact that I'm helping out with the Character competition going on right now. I spend quite a lot of time on Vizzed, and have partaken is a large amount of the competitions that have been on the site since I joined. I am also over 13. Thank you.
