I had this glitch for the first time with Super Mario World, the glitch first didn't appear and I could play it normal.
I have only gotten it with Super Mario World & SMW Hacks, and I use Mednafen to record good walkthroughs, and it's an important emulator for me and it doesn't work very well...
Sometimes, the game stops playing and crashes. Other times, I have sound problems. Here is a video to show you what I mean:

If anyone could help, I'd GREATLY appreciate... :/

TheJmsGamer : I'm not sure what could be causing the problem, because it seems like the game loads up for you in Mednafen then freezes at the nintendo screen. I also tested on my end in Chrome and the game works with both Zsnes and Mendafen the same. Have you tried a different browser to see if you have different results.

The sound issue with that game might be due to emulation issues. You could do a google search cross referencing that stage and the emulator you are using to see if others have reported the same issues.

Jordanv78 :
Firefox is the only browser that works with the plug-in, and from what I've tried, the only thing I haven't tried is completely uninstall the RGR Plug-in, which would mean I'd need a back-up..

TheJmsGamer : The plugin works fine with chrome. As I stated before, I used it to test Super Mario World after seeing this thread.

It's just that due to a few changes that google made to Chrome recently, you have to enable a few things in the browser settings to get it to work in Chrome.

You can find those instructions here - https://www.vizzed.com/boards/thread.php?id=86584

I wouldn't try un-installing yet (as I don't think that would do much)

You could try deleting that particular rom file for Super mario world off your hard drive. When you try to play the game it will re-download a new rom. Maybe your old file was corrupted in some way if switching to chrome doesn't help.

If it doesn't work, maybe you want to delete the mednafen config as well.
As a test though, try to run it in highscore mode and see if it freezes as well.

Jordanv78 :
I already had tried removing the Rom and the Zip file before, but that didn't work.
Also, I had already tried playing with Google Chrome with the npapi-plugin enabled, but that didn't work so I can't try Google Chrome, and Internet Explorer also doesn't work for me.

Vanelan :

Running in highscore mode does work and doesn't freeze...

And after searching for an Mednafen file, I tried removing (with back-up) the Mednafen_new folder, and now the game works again, and after a bit of research, it seems that the snes.cht file was the one making my game freeze.

Well, the problem is fixed now. Thank you all very much for your help! ^-^ I appreciate it.

Edit:
Oh, and I'd also like to mention that the problem happened after I corrupted a ROM File with a ROM Corrupter, although the strang part is that I didn't corrupt the file in the RGR folders.

Edit 2:
Oh, never mind. I still have sound problems on some games. The game doesn't freeze at the Nintendo screen, but I did have sound problems on another game... again with mednafen. It seems like it only happens with SNES SMW hacks.

Edit 3:
Hey, I have another question... About the screenshots, is there a way to completely clear out the screenshots taken on a game?
I got too many unused screenshots on Super Mario World, which makes it harder to find the ones I just took.

TheJmsGamer :
This actually makes sense.
A ROM corrupter messes with memory addresses of the ROM as does the cheat system.
At some point, there must have been some kinda conflict which would cause a game to crash.

Also, in regard to SMW hacks, that's to be expected since it would more or less be the same as the cheat system or corrupter.

As for screenshots, you can remove them from your own PC but typically, the staff doesn't remove screenshots from the game pages unless they are inappropriate or there are some issues.

If/when you do use the uploader, it does separate the new screenshots from submitted and new screenshots.
The newest screenshots are always at the bottom of the new screenshots section.

Vanelan :

A few months later, the issue came back to me.
Except, here, the SNES.CHT file isn't here. :/

I was TASing a game, New Retro Mario Bros., which was shown on the video below (which is deleted because my channel got deleted)

The issues came back to me...

Did you enter new cheats?
I haven't used it since it was first implemented to test if it worked and to create a guide to use them, so I can't say how/where they are stored.

As for TAS runs, since you are presumably changing speeds of the games, you might experience audio lag or loss.

Vanelan :
Nope, not changing speeds (The only tool I use for TAS is Rewinding, I rarely ever slow down the game. I would with my PS3 Controller if I could, but I can't change the controllers for that. Thinking about it, it'd be really useful for TAS actually.), and I have no snes.cht file, so no, I did not enter any cheats. Oh well.

Does the audio issue occur after you rewind?
How much hard drive space do you have free?

Around 550GB free, and the Audio occurs just like in the video: Fireball destroys music.
