I can't say I like this at all. If a mod creator wants money, I think they should make a donate page or Patreon. This is wrong on so many levels, and I've lost a ton of respect in Valve for this.

You're thoughts have been realized then because Gabe Newell and Valve is considering doing a "pay what you want" after seeing the large amount of negativity to the issue.

On-Topic, I too dislike paid mods. From my little experience with mods, I can never guarantee their stability on my game, but I suppose that's one of the fun aspects of it huh?
