Alright, so here I am with a review of MY Worst Game EVER! You thought Sonic 06 was the bottom of Donkey Kong's endless barrels? NOPE! I found even WORSE! I won't even go easy on the game just because it's a bootleg, but let the review explain why. Here we go!

GRAPHICS:
Alright so first thing's first, how does the game look? Well I would be nice to this game since it /IS/ a bootleg on the NES but this has gotten too bad to bare! I mean, the sprites are actually alright, but here's the problem...Half the time there's too many spammed on screen to render! The first boss was barely visible when I fought it! Sometimes I've been hit by sprites that either look exactly like the background or are not even loaded into System Memory. It's bad, it's sad. It's just terrible. That's why I rate the Graphics a 1/10

SOUND:
Again I should be nice to this game since it isn't even official but...I can't. The sound is atrocious. The first thing I get when I start the game is probably the worst rendition of The Sonic 1 Title Screen Music, I have EVER heard! It doesn't help that I go straight into the game with a bad rendition of Green Hill Zone, and so on and so forth, I'm sorry but I can't rate this high, not when it's on the same system that has memorable, GOOD MUSIC, like...The Soundtracks from The Super Mario Bros Series. Or even The Legend of Zelda Series. MAYBE EVEN THE MEGA MAN SERIES. This game's sound is just...bad. 1/10

ADDICTIVENESS:
I will probably NEVER play this game again unless I have to. Why? Because you feel like you're being trolled from the first 30 seconds in... The fact that before you can even get rings, you can be hit by seemingly unmissable (due to bad physics) enemies, is just terrible. I'll explain this under difficulty later, but just know...If you play this, you likely won't be addicted. 1/10

STORY:
Believe it or not, this piece of trash has a story, not displayed AT ALL in game, but displayed when you look for it online. Let me basically explain the story to you right now. Dr. Robotnik took a bunch of animals and turned them into robots. Now "SOMARI THE ADVENTURER", (a character who you will guess is OBVIOUSLY a strange love child or Gary Sue of Mario and Sonic mixed together...Which he is.) has to stop him. That's it...It's literally Sonic The Hedgehog's Plot, copypasted, with Mario and Sonic's love child stapled onto it. 1/10! NEXT!

DEPTH:
This game has SOME depth...Being able to have the attention span to play from beginning to end in a game that is obviously trolling the player with bad controls. That's about it. I'm being generous with this score but... 3/10.

DIFFICULTY:
Here we go. The high rating this will get is a BAD thing... Here's why. The controls are bad, they stick for no reason. Somari will rarely keep speeding up, rather he'll find a way to stay at the same, low, no momentum speed, that makes the game impossible, even when going down hill. This also means that most long platforming jumps are a leap of faith, on whether you'll go far enough to reach the next platform or just randomly drop from the sky for no reason at all. You'll find many pits full of spikes that are too large to come out of, unlike Sonic 2's infamous Pit of Death though...You find these about 1-3 times every level, they also make it impossible to die as most of these are too small for the rings to leave you UNLESS they glitch up the wall (AS IF THAT'S GOOD PROGRAMMING), leaving you there forever or until you go back to your last save state. I've also found that enemy placement is terrible with too many buzz bombers for the game to load in some EARLY levels, and even on the FIRST LEVEL, it seems impossible to get passed the first two enemies without hax. Long story short. 10/10 Difficulty, that's a bad thing, the game is unplayable.

OVERALL
The game's bad. It's terrible, don't play it unless you are just curious. Even then don't, This needs to go back to the realm of obscurity to remain for all time. Anyways....I rate this a 0.1/10 That's my final score, don't waste your Viz on this, just go on to play something else.

Bootlegs are supposed to be bad. That's what defines them. Crappy knockoff games. They also shouldn't be given 1 on everything. The games are terrible, sure, but not literally unplayable. I'd rate like 3 or so. Also, the story is cliche but legitimate. No reason to rate that a 1.

But anyways, your review. I would say it seems like a rant because you hated on everything, but you did give pretty good reasons. I have gotten the chance to play Somari for a few minutes. It's bad and I understand what you are saying. But I must point out that you leaned a bit too strongly on the lowest ratings (as I mentioned before). The story deserved better and the graphics were OK for the most part. But the music in this game... oh god the music.

Overall, it was a nice review and made a lot of sense, though 0.1 is ridiculously low.

This dude does not know how to treat a non official game right. You know that the owner of the game will patch all the *mimics* your character rarely speeds up wahhhhhh! He does not get how good a game really can be, for example, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dPGiMPz8ts0. That game looked like it could actually be a bit of fun, even if there is no spin dash. And you cant have a bunch of rings that you know will take a SINGLE HIT and lose every ring. So instead they added hearts Besides that, my entire reply is not going to be sonic the hedgehog 4 bootlegs. Somari also looks like i would take the game in 3 seconds no matter what review says its horrible.

The reason why i would take the game in 3 seconds is because, Sonic and mario stuck together would probably combine amazing pounding and hammer sklls (Paper Mario) combined with real speed. That would be the ultimate crap for me.

To TheFadedWarrior, who I can't seem to reply DIRECTLY to, I must say, maybe you are right that I rated it low. But do keep in mind I did not rate everything a one...and on Graphics, as I said, they're good until you get far enough for them to not show up, THAT'S why I rated it a 1, because I've SEEN bootleg games that don't have this issue. With the story... I was just a bit pissed off when I realized it wasn't even Mario in this game...it was an OC love child of Sonic and Mario, that's why the story got a 1/10, because it sounded like bad fanfiction. The reason I treated this one SO badly was because this is probably the worst Bootleg I have ever played. Either way, what's done is done, it may not be the best, most professional review, but that's why OTHER PEOPLE are allowed to review and voice their opinions as well. 

Meanwhile to hboogy101. This isn't about the Sonic 4 bootleg (which is actually a better game anyways), and for those who read the WHOLE REVIEW and not only bits and pieces, I'd be fine with the game being slow if it didn't make platforming a mess. For those of us who have jumped a manageable distance and randomly dropped out of the sky, we feel a bit pissed off.

KurisuKaname : That's not in the story, that's just what the game actually is. The story is Dr. Eggman turning animals into robots, not Mario and Sonic having a love child. But your review really was great, it's just my opinion that some ratings were a little too low. Again, good job on the review. I hope to see more from you.

Congratulations on this well-done review! Because it was so terrible, I guess there wasn't much to say; plus it's a bootleg so it's hard to compare it with other games.

As far as the review goes, I never really review bootleg games like this unless there's a rare occasion where one is GOOD. Otherwise it's kinda like beating a dead horse complaining about how bad it is.

It's ok for a bootleg I guess. The flashing sprites thing when too many enemies get on the screen was a common 8 bit, and specifically NES issue. This game takes than and increases it 10 fold though lol.

Good job on the review itself goes. It was decent and I enjoyed reading it. I look forward to seeing more reviews from you in the future.

Wow, you have a burning hatred for this game. I can understand that you hate this game, even by the standards of a cheap knockoff game, just by reading, but I can only do just that. I have a blurred idea of why you hate the game, but I feel like it could have used more description for someone going to the store to buy this bootlegged game back in the 90s, when there were stores selling those kinds of games. You're not putting enough information into the review so that I would know not to buy the game. You did an OK job on the upfront, but it needs more than that. It was an OK review, nonetheless.
