It's what the title says...I remember I was inside a game kinda but nothing you guys know about because this game doesn't exist but this game I was in there was missions and I needed to get to the grocery stores before some girls there were a time limit though I forgot to tell it was in 2D so yeah I ran and got to the grocery store before the girls caught me and then the dream ended and I woke up if you had a dream where you were inside a game you can tell it here

I have a dream about being in a video game most of the time but not all but that is probably because I don't remember most of them.

I had a nice dream where my family and I went into Lego Star Wars. Then I made it into a short story

Bizarrely enough, I once had a dream about being in Mario Party 4, complete with dice rolls, lava and a souvenir shop.
I can have weird dreams sometimes...

I have those dreams alot, and often enough they are done very well or combining series with shockingly realistic results, or playing a game story in another's engine.  Like taking on Zelda bosses  Kingdom hearts style with Dante and Link as party members while charging in with Vampire Killer [teh whip from castlevania] and a bastard sword.
Or riping hords of monsters apart in a cut scene Style fight that was just purely awesome. Lots of QTE and Dynasty warriors KO counts.
Ah so many fun dreams
though some of them do get pretty terrifying like when I had to deal with my full gaming avatar who had access to all of his weapons, skills, spells, and etc.

I have these types of dreams commonly enough to where I wouldn't call them rare, but rare enough that I wouldn't call them common.

It's actually kind of funny because they are good enough representations of a video game (let's say Final Fantasy) where the game mechanics actually exist in my dream, but instead of the game graphics, all NPC's are portrayed by people I know. I remember when I played Minecraft for a ridiculous amount of time straight, I had dream of building things (or destroying interestingly enough) as if I were playing the game.

I remember in my younger days, I'd have dreams of getting games I wanted (Pokémon Leaf Green, you know what you did to me) and actually playing them as if I knew what the game actually had! It would be so amazing, and then I'd wake up and be upset because I didn't actually have the game. I was just playing what I assumed the game had contained (and with some degree of accuracy, surprisingly). Then I would be upset the rest of the day like it's someone's fault that I dream of it haha!

Don't get me started about dreams involving The Sims...

interestingly enough have you had the solving puzzle dreams?  Where you are so focused on a singular problem in the game that you keep goign at that puzzle in your dreams?   I actually figured out alot of my stuck points in games by solving them or thinking of new ways to look at problems in my dreams.  In a semi unrelated note some times puzzles where solved after playing games of a whole other genre.  There was one puzzle I was stuck on in A resident evil game that I solved easily after I spent time playing tetris.   The ability to take a game engine and look at it through they eyes of another genre make some puzzles easier to solve.  Flipping a room from a 3d space to a top down perspective mentally helped me solve a few of the light beam puzzles in DMC3 .

Rare times I would have a dream that I was in DOOM..

When I play a lot of Resident Evil games, I tend to have Resident Evil dreams... I watched the CGI movie, the first one, and then when I went to bed, I had dreamed up a better movie... Shame I can't remember it now though. XD

I also recently had a League of Legends dream. Nothing special happened, I was just teaching my sister how to play it. I'm weird.

I have dreamed on Pokémon I remember when I gonna choose my starter I woke up man that dream was REALLY strange

I had a dream where I was Shulk from Xenoblade Chronicles, and I wielded the Monado to take down Zanza, and I recreated the world into what it is today. Really weird as my real life friends were my party members, and I was calling them by the game names.

YES, more than once, actually. I have dreamed that I was a Shadow Heartless from Kingdom Hearts on multiple occasions, always to my great annoyance 'in game', and  I have actually dreamed that I was an Eevee with the ability to speak. It was...interesting. People kept freaking out and trying to catch me, but I kept telling people that I had an owner and I was trying to FIND him. It was frustrating.

I once dreamt I was inside a Star Wars movie (on Endor?), but I can't say I dreamt about video games. I guess my subconscious didn't crave fighting Bowser of Kefka

Yes I have! But, they were fake games. Let me explain.

One dream I had was that I was Sonic, and I was racing on foot, (no, not Sonic R) and chasing this aircraft. It was like a racing Sonic game, but it wasn't made.

Another dream.... is was more anime-like. It doesn't count.

Yep, here is my one "inside video game" dream.

Yes, and it was the best video game ever! It was like a dark, sci-fi version of Zelda, but an FPS. There was this girl who somehow spoke in to my mind. I guess that was the game's version of Zelda. I don't really understand it, so it must make no sense at all for you guys, but it was awesome!

Last night, I had the strangest dream. I was Link and I was making my way up Ganon's Tower in first person view. When I made it to the top, I saw that Ganondorf wasn't at the top, instead Bowser was up at the top and he was holding Amy Rose hostage. So I (Link) fought Bowser and slayed him. I saved Amy and the Ocarina of Time credit's played. The biggest reason I found this dream strange is because I can't stand Amy, yet I'm trying to save her!? Then again the whole dream was weird, and that's the dream where I was inside a video game.

I've never dreamt that I was in a game, but if I've been playing a certain game a lot I'll sometimes have dreams where I'm playing the game. Sometimes I'd go to play, and be confused because I thought I did something in game then realize I did it in a dream.

Yes and plenty of times.  I remember being Master Chief of Halo at one point.  Another time was being in Minecraft and a Creeper blew up everything.  It is kinda scary.

Yes, a few times. I know for sure that Minecraft was one of them, but I can't remember any dreams in particular.
There were a few more where I was in the real world, but some game elements were there too.
