Pokemon rumble is the kind of pokemon game that I can really get into. Why? Because for the first time ever, pokemon had the foresight to actually make something different! This pokemon is not like the others in the battle style. It's pure action, through and through. My only thing against it is that you cannot level up your pokemon. You can only get more and more powerful pokes and release the weaker ones. Personally, I am not sure that is the best message a game could possibly send, if you know what I mean. But as far as everything else goes, this game was awesome!
Graphics: 9 For the first time ever, you get to walk around as a 3d pokemon in a fully 3d world. You actually get to see the effects of your attack instead of having to wait for the battle scenes and all that good stuff. Unlike most games, this game uses toys instead of real pokemon, and the graphics show that. I also enjoy how they made the environments look almost real, yet you could still tell you were just in a toy battle arena.
Sound: 9 The sound for this game is outstanding. I absolutely love the fact that they kept the real pokemon cries in the game. The music is good as always. I especially enjoy the battle with the evil wonder key toy bosses. They have a really great, ominous sounding theme. The sounds of your attacks and that of other pokemon are also very well done. Addictiveness: 9 This game is ultra addictive to me. I shall tell you the extent. I had the free demo version, and I played it as much as I could. I realized the game would end if I collected a level 100 pokemon or higher. So I played through all but one are without collecting a level 100 I spent hours cheating the demo because I kept porting back to the terminal so the game would not end on me when I would accidentally collect a pokemon too high. (Which is very easy to do by the way!) So yeah, highly addicting. For the first time, you can actually move around as any pokemon that you find and battle against other pokemon. Unlike in some other games, you are not limited to 6 pokemon on a team! But when you get to the Battle Royale, you are not allowed to switch your pokemon, unless you faint. It's just so much fun being able to collect every Pokemon that you can see and you can even customize your pokemon to a degree by training him in the abilities you want him to have. Of course, this could take a lot of "poke" the game's currency. As you have to pay to have the wheel spun to see if you want that ability or not. Just another neat addition to this game.
Story: 9 Wow! It's actually different from the other pokemon stories! You start with a ratatta who's trying to break into the battle royale. Of course, he is not very strong, and despite the player's best efforts, will lose. But as you go along in the game searching for stronger partners, you begin to come across Dark Poke Toys, pokemon toys that are infected by a dark key! Ultimately, your goal is to hit the battle royale, but you never know just what might happen in the mean time!
Depth: 9 There are 6 different areas, I believe plus the battle royale. So the game has a good bit to offer. And of course, what would pokemon be if you could not play it with other people. The game allows you to take screen shots and save them to an sd card, and even save pokemon in your wii remote (that's pretty cool!) And of course, there is a multiplayer mode, so the fun never ends!
Difficulty: 5 I gave it a 5 basically because the bosses are waaaaayyyy too easy. You pretty much can just stand there and beat the living daylights out of them, normally. But there is a decent challenge getting through some of the areas, especially if you try it with lower level pokemon. Basically, this game's difficulty can be altered. As the competition gets tougher, and you stay a certain level behind, you got yourself a tough game!
Overall: 8.2 Basically, my only disappointment in this game is that the bosses are too easy. Everything else is fantastic though. I absolutely love this game, and have not got tired of it yet...unlike other pokemon games, that I have played.
