You may or may not know this already, but I am a cashier/customer service associate at a drugstore. I am sure that many, if not all of us, have dealt with THAT kind of person. Whether you are the customer dealing with the bad employee, an employee dealing with a customer, or an employee dealing with a grouchy manager around whom you can never seem to do good enough. We've all dealt with people like that (if not, it's probably you we talking about!) So what can you do with these kinds of people? I just coined the term "grouchbug"  To describe them. In reality, their attitude is like a bug that bites. It can be so easy to want to bite back. They're not happy, and whether they realize it or not their "bite" affects others, which will often escalate. So what is the best antidote for their poison? Smile to yourself and realize that they are the ones missing out on the joy that they could be having. Be cheerful. (I know, easier said than done. Right?) Who knows? You may even cure them of their poison. But even if not, at the very least you will not be brought down by their painful bite. It's never easy, but don't let them tell you that you can't be happy just because they aren't!
