Before I post this, forgive me if it's in the wrong forum. I had no idea where to post something like this.

So anyway, I've been dealing with a common cold for 3 weeks. It was actually starting to get better and I was able to start going to school again, until my mom brought the flu into the house from her workplace. My sister who shares a room with me caught it, and eventually I came down with the flu too. But my immune system was already overloaded trying to fight off the cold, so everything just kinda went downhill from there. I had severe coughs, had fevers for at least three days, and I couldn't even sleep because my own coughs were keeping me up. My throat was clogged up a lot making it really hard to breathe. I mean, I already had a breathing problem to begin with. Now it's just adding insult to injury. At one point my coughing became so bad that I started coughing up blood. It was torture. My mom decided that it would be best to call the doctor, and boy that's when things started getting scary. I was supposed to answer some questions over the phone, and I said yes to most of them. My mom and my sister were in the room with me, and then my mom said "meningitis". She tells my sister that it could be deadly. I'm over here on the phone now in freak out mode because I have no idea what meningitis is and frankly, I might have said I wanted to die when i was doubled over in pain earlier, But I really didn't want to die. I couldn't really hear what the doctor said next, but all I got from it was they'd like to see me in the ER. Now I was really scared. After that episode I got on Vizzed to talk to Yoshi and Gameboy, And made them freak out too. After awhile of talking to them I thought it would be best to try to get some sleep because I would be going to the doctor's tomorrow. And so, today, I went to the doctor's. And apparently, I'm okay. No meningitis. But I do have the latter of "walking pneumonia". Apparently, my lungs squeak when I breathe in. When the doctor left the room my dad said he knew what i had all along, but getting checked out was the only way to get a prescription. So after getting the pills, my dad took me home, I took pills for the first time, And now i'm here typing this. Man, I'm just glad to say that I will be okay.

You seem to have handled the long sickness and pain pretty well. Be grateful all that happened now instead of earlier in your life. I had a cold and flu at the same time once. It wasn't near as bad as what happened to you, but I handled it much worse than you did in your situation because I was only 2 years old when it happened to me.

Wow. That is an eventful week . I hope you get better. I have a friend with walking pneumonia, and it was so bad for him that he had to be home schooled for the latter half of 8th grade . I hope it doesn't get too bad for you. At least you are feeling better . I would've been freaking out. And don't worry about taking pills. I take ADHD pills each day, it isn't bad at all. Again, get better!

I've had walking pneumonia before. Wasn't the best nor worst sickness I've experience, but it still didn't feel all so good. I'm just glad you're okay. Hope you get better soon, my friend!
