Are there any movies that you watch every year around the same time? For example, every year around both Halloween and Christmas I watch Nightmare Before Christmas, because I love that movie. Are there any movies that have become a yearly tradition for you?

One yearly movie tradition I like to take part in is the Halloween movie tradition. I usually always go to the theaters, and watch what ever is horror, for the past years, it has been either Halloween, paranormal activity, or some how try and watch REC. Another awesome movie series I loved to watch was the Saw series, sadly they ended. But rumor has it that on the internet they are gearing back up to make another Saw movie if true this is amazing news. I really hope it is. Because the Saw series had some really memorable moments with me, and my friends.

kirbmanboggle : You know, I've never actually seen that movie. Maybe I should this year hehe. But yea, that seems to be a perfect fit, there aren't really that many movies specifically set on the 4th of July that I can think of.

Lycan212: Oh, so rather than watch one specific movie every year, you watch whatever movies you can find? That certainly seems like it has more variety than most yearly traditions, and you even spend it with friends! Also pretty sure Saw franchise is dead sorry

Come December, my family's whole tradition practically revolves around National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. The VHS copy we have is now warped at certain parts from being played so many times, and anyone in the family can quote the movie from start to finish. We even bought t-shirts with some of the most memorable quotes printed on them that we like to pop out around that time of year. It's great.  (lol)

Planes, Trains, and Automobiles is also 'a must' at some point in November, if not on Thanksgiving itself.

RaquellaReyka : Ah, the famous National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. You all have T-Shirts too? Another question; what is it about Planes, Trains and Automobiles that makes it good for Thanksgiving?

Linkums : Ooh, Classy are we? Hehe, I tease. Really though, that's a pretty cool tradition even though its not a movie per se.

I don't do it roughly the exact same time every year, but every year in December I make sure to watch Home Alone at least a couple of times, and I have been doing this for at least a dozen or so years. That's really the only movie tradition that I have and I really can;t seem to figure out why I am not bored of this movie yet, I must have seen it at least 50 different times by now.

gamerforlifeforever2 :  Amen to that!  It's a Wonderful Life is my ONLY 'movie tradition', and I will never, ever let it go.  I don' care to watch specific movies on any other holiday, but on Christmas or Christmas Eve, I just have to watch this jewel.  There's just something wrong with anyone who hasn't seen or doesn't like the film.

I have few different movie traditions.
First off is the goonies on my birthday it's my all time favorite and I've been doing it for about 20 years now.
Next would be the week of Halloween where I just watch Halloween and that's it.
Then on Turkey day I watch the Charlie Brown one ( can never remember it's name).
On Christmas eve I start watching Christmas vacation, Christmas story, it's a wonderful life, bad Santa, and white Christmas.
